I am watching for Friday the 13th, the series. I didnt see you list it, but micki and ryan and her uncle lewis chasing down cursed objects. Consistent but variable. Intrresting curses. I loved that show growing up.
The hitchiker tales from the darkside and tales from the crypt and monsters all need to comeback just like creepshow did. As well as hammer horror Anthology tv series
Yes that's right monsters Hammer horror TV show the thriller with Boris Karloff The English thriller from the 70s that had a lot of American stars all of them
Yeah dark room that was a good one I remember watching that as a kid man I was like 13 14 years old 1981 living on Goddard Street in Newark New Jersey had a big backyard the house was old and it was dark all around back then and I used to run like the Dickens upstairs to the second floor when I come around the back of the house to go through the back door thinking I was being chased by a monster tell me the time I happen to me when I watched the original evil Dead
I like the one that showed the girl and her sister who thought that Helen Hunt was in it and I think they thought that their neighbor who the older sister played by Helen Hunt was going out with thought he was was a vampire but it turned out he was a werewolf
In the 1980s, before the internet really existed, the weekend late nights when most horror shows aired were truly something to look forward to every week for me. We had at most 12 channels, ½ useless, on our tv until I was almost 16yo. The Hitchhiker (or The Hitcher maybe?) was on HBO...whenever i was somewhere with HBO, I would be so excited to see adult horror😂
I remember The Hitchhiker.....the reruns were aired on the old "USA"network which became Spike I think about thirty years ago...I miss those days of late night TV...B movies and other gems ...such a great time to grow up.
@@jeromyjaggars9166I also remember the same things all the channels we had only channel 2 and channel 4 and channel 7 where did three big networks then we had channel 5 9 and 11 which were the syndication channels that shows the news and mostly old TV shows maybe one or two new things but it was great and always watching those horror TV shows like you said on the weekend at night or the old movies ABC 4:30 afternoon movie every day of the week that was awesome man and another thing too we have black and white TV and it made it scarier man especially watching on the weekend at night
I was super excited to see how many of these I had and hadn't watched. I'm always looking for new horror anthologies to put on. Del Toro's Cabinet was kind of disappointing. Especially the Dreams in the Witch House. Poor Rupert Grint deserved better.
There is a mistake he didnt explain... there are infact 3 movies from Tailes from the crypt or 4 if you count the og one before the cryptkeeper was this ghoul we love
I remember watching a show called "fear itself" 15 or so years ago. it was a big promo for abc or nbc. I can't remember. but each week was a new horror story. I 'd have to rewatch it to see if it is any good. but coincidentally, I'm planning on watching Stephen king's "nightmares and dreamscapes" this weekend.( been on a Stephen King binge recently lol) I wish they both were on the list and discussed.
What about the Brit/Canadian series Thriller from the 1970’s? Not the one mentioned, more like Hammer House of Horror. And The Evil Touch, hosted by Anthony Quayle.
Interesting how some of the scenes you associate from the TV show aren't actually from the show, but are from low-rent B movies. The Twilight Zone scenes are from the 1957 version of Roger Corman's "Not of this Earth" The Outer Limits is actually "The Hideous Sun Demon" "Lights Out", "Ghost Story/Circle of Fear", "Fear Itself", "The Hunger", "Night Visons", "Twisted", "Two Twisted", "Twisted Tales", "Tales from the Cryptkeeper" (the animated version ), "Two Sentence Horror Stories", "Creeped Out", "Into The Dark", "Darknet"....There's a whole 'nother episode for ya. Also could have included "Channel Zero", "Fringe", "The X-Files", "Grimm", "Supernatural", which were all also basically anthology series, just centered around a central unifying premise, Even "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" or "Dark Shadows", for that matter, if you really wanted to stretch the point
you forgot Friday the 13 the series Errie Indiana and so weird and Beyond Belief and urban legends from the 2007 just to name a few so it's not every major one hell Friday the 13 the series lasted for 3 season while so weird lasted for 3

I don’t think Friday the 13th count as a anthology it’s more of the same people dealing with a missing artifact vs different stories with different people that was one of my favorite shows I watch it online from time to time

Tales From The Crypt comics are what started it all. Even Hitchcock was a fan. The show was the best horror anthology, and it had the biggest balls.
Tales from the crypt will always be one of my favourite shows from the 90s 😎👍
I miss the 90s my childhood
@@damianstarks3338 Same here!😫
I didn't see Nightmares & Dreamscapes or Night Visions, but great list overall.
Additions: Journey Into The Unknown, Ghost Story/Circle of Fear, Thriller (UK 1973), The Hunger
The Hallow Ian Horror Hour too ;)

Not an anthology series, though.
Tales From The Crypt will arguably always be one of the best TV series of all time to me personally👌
Amazing list of horror anthology shows you have taken me right back to my childhood.

My favorite thing in the world are horror anthologies cause you get a lil bit of everything in one.
You might like the show we make for Seattle TV then?
"Friday the 13th, the series" and "Freddy's Nightmares" were left out of this list, and even though the X-Files was mostly scifi, it was still scary.
Not every horror series is an anthology, though.
I LOVED THE "DARKROOM!" "The Partnership" was my favorite episode!
I like the one that showed the girl and her sister who thought that Helen Hunt was in it and I think they thought that their neighbor who the older sister played by Helen Hunt was going out with thought he was was a vampire but it turned out he was a werewolf
I hope monsters is on here , very underrated imo
What about " Tales of the Unexpected" ? .... a true classic
also surprised this didnt get a mention......some seriously disturbing tales from what i remember
Yeah tales of the unexpected and nightmares dreamscapes and
Friday the 13th?
The New Twilight Zone from the 80s was definitely its own thing
Goosebumps?
The Hallow Ian Horror Hour?
Tales from the crypt is one of those shows that is often copied but has never able to be replicated
There's an anime series similar to The Hitchiker called Kino no Tabi.
There's also another "Thriller" series from the UK which ran from 1973-1976.
And tales of the unexpected.

You didn't include The Thirteen Ghosts Of Scooby-Doo.
Not a bad list, but the "clips" from the OG Twilight Zone absolutely were not from the show. Little bit of quality control would be appreciated.
The clips were from the Roger Corman movie "Not of This Earth".
Why were clips from the 1957 movie, "Not of This Earth" (starring Paul Birch and Beverly Garland) used for "The Twilight Zone"?
great f in vid e o
Has anyone here seen Late Night Horror? I hear it’s good, but that five of its six episodes are lost. 😢
Not bad, but the writing could use a bit of editing, and the AI narration checked to make sure it pronounces names correctly.
So many to scare from
Is the narration voice automated?
I didn't see the veil listed
