My 20 favorite Night Gallery episodes, in no specific order..
    1. The Cemetery (‘69!Pilot)
    2, Eyes (‘69 pilot)
    3. The Deadman
    4. The Little Black Bag
    5. Certain Shadows on the Wall (great blend of TZ and atmospheric darkness)
    6. The Doll
    7. They’re Tearing Down Tim Riley’s Bar (Rod Serling’s greatest NG script; conjures jarring sadness and nostalgia)
    8. Boy Who Predicted Earthquakes (Rod handled this story perfectly)
    9. A Death In The Family (Another wonderful adaptation by Rod. It’s almost a heartfelt version of Tales From The Crypt; Rod’s not afraid to splash on darkness).
    10. Class of ‘99 (Another 4 star Serling original)
    11. Dr. Stringfellow’s Rejuvenator ( awesome Rod story)
    12. Silent Snow, Secret Snow
    13. Cool Air
    14. Pickman’s Model
    15. You Can’t Get Help Like That Anymore
    16. Sins of the Fathers
    17. The Caterpillar
    18. The Other Way Out
    19. Finnigan’s Flight
    20. Camera Obscura

This series, The Night Gallery, was the best suspense/horror ever made. It came from Rod Serling. It starred a number of top-rated stars and famous personalities that included Joan Crawford, David MacCallum, Sandra Dee, James Farrentino, Lois Nettleton, Sue Lyon and many more. It's a real treasure to have in one's collection and has top recall value too. You want to get engrossed in something very special to get your mind off your worries or whatever is bothering you, then just turn to The Night Gallery. There'll never ever be another series to equate with this top show. Even Alfred Hitchcock would totally agree with me.

Night Gallery scared the sh*t out of me when I watched it as a pre-teen. Some of the episodes were scarier than some. One of the best was, 'The Phantom Farmhouse', which involved a creepy, neat, white country house no one came near to as it was occupied by weredogs. 'The Devil Is Not Mocked' is another scary plus.

If you think about the episode, "The Different Ones", the only possible way it could have worked is if the mother had been sent from that planet to Earth, as one of their "malformed" citizens. Whether she ever told the father, or not, is unknown. But, since the Earth only started sending it's "malformed" citizens to that planet recently, it suggests they have been sending their people to Earth several years before the Earth began sending their children back, as the "malformations" are either perfect specimens of Earth or the other planet.

The son going back in time to prevent his monther murdering her husband, he would not be able to change any events in the past, because his future self would have already caused them to happen in the way that they did, no matter his intentions, everything he did would only fulfill the past.
The only thing that would change is his perceptions of the events.
It was always going to be a fixed point in time where the events, no matter what he tried to do, was always going to play out the same eventual outcome, regardless how many times he tried.
