LOLOL surprise! Video's up today instead of tomorrow - let's all pretend this is exactly what I meant to do and not that I don't know my days of the week 🙃
Hi! Since you have tahini now-find a basic peanut butter cookie recipe and swap the peanut butter with tahini. They are so delicious! And you will for sure taste the tahini 😊
When you remember back in the days when Christopher wasn't comfortable even showing us his face and now see him go all-in for these is just everything!
I make mine with sour cherries and toasted pecans. I also swap half the flour for whole wheat pastry flour and put a tsp of cinnamon in them. My brother calls them my busy cookies.😂
The Christmas tree & berry farm near my house makes chocolate chip cookies for the holidays that contain oatmeal, cranberry & dark chocolate chunks! I wait for them every year 😋
Salted butter for everything!!! If you're scared of too much salt leave out the salt in the recipe. I am currently trying to make the cherry cookies but making it with browned butter. I can hardly wait!
2:48 I use salted butter too. The key is just to know what your salted butter tastes like. Then you can adjust the salt if you need to (but honestly, most cookie recipes could use a little more salt anyway).
I was yelling at my screen when you were using that tiny amount of tahini! You really have to add a lot and it'll be one of the best choc chip cookies you've ever had
As a born and raised Mississippi southern farmer's granddaughter that spent many of my developmental years collecting pecans with a picker upper, I only accept puh-kaanz as the proper pronunciation.
I used to get flour everywhere when I was sifting too. I came up with the best way ever to sift. I have a piece for parchment that is used just for when I sift flour. I lay it out on my counter and sift directly onto the paper. My parchment is wide so it really covers a huge area. Once I’ve finished sifting I just lift the sides together and pour it into my mixer. You make a mess to prevent a mess!
I agree with your sister... I always use salted butter and add the called-for salt and everyone says my cookies are the best they've ever had... the only time I've ever used unsalted butter was when the grocery store didn't have any salted... and I was upset about it. 😂
Gemma at BiggerBolderBaking did this with a fruity brownie recipe. Her husband put in the qualities and she read the recipe for the first time on video 😂
Hi Rachh! I just found you about 2 weeks ago from your video where you tested tasty cookies vs your cookies. You are now my favorite baker and I literally watch you nonstop cannot stop watching you! I am so glad I found you channel or I don't know what I would be doing in my free time.
I've actually had an oatmeal cookie with tahini in it, and it was really good. Someone at my friends' work used to make them in jars as a "ready to go type" and give them a gift at Christmas. They were shockingly good
Ha! I always say please too. My friend pointed it out to me. I hadn't even thought about it. And I still do it. Hopefully it remembers how nice I was when it takes over... 😉
i love dried cherries in so many recipes that are sweet....in cookies for sure though usually I add it in an oatmeal base but also good in lemon flavors and with choclate. I highly recommend playing with that ingredient
Rachel, your pronunciation of pecan is the correct way. A pee-can is something to use when you are camping and don't want to leave your tent at night when you need to pee!
This is the first video I see from your channel and YES this needs to be a series, subscribing in hopes of this becoming one! And not only with cookies, ChatGPT has potential for a lot of content, like eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner whatever it tells you to cook. Or Pizzas, or cocktails, or stuff like that.
Oh I love Chocolate covered Cherry stuff. Especially the chocolate covered cherry blizzard at Dairy Queen!! ❤️❤️❤️ Can’t wait to search for dried cherries at the stores and putting them into my favorite cookie recipe!! 😍😍😍😍
If you want a really good cookie, try adding the tart cherries to the brownie cookie, or try adding butterscotch chocolate chips to the brownie cookie. They are both fantastic. Every time I make either of them my friends go crazy for them.☺️
I use a stand mixer all the time I used a large paper plate I cut a hole in the center just big enough to fit around my mixer attachments and cut one line from the hole to outside of plate it fits perfectly around the top of mixing bowl to prevent stuff from going everywhere and when I'm done I just thought away the paper plate. It works better than a towel.
I watched a baking video right before this and saw a mixer attachment that you’ll like. It’s essentially a guard that attaches to the edge of the mixing bowl so the dry ingredients don’t fly into the air. May be easier to use than a towel? It also had a section where you can pour ingredients in without lifting the guard.
Yes, making this a series would be great! I like the idea of things most people eat on a regular basis, such as unique or unusual sandwich ingredients or pizza toppings!
I make dried sour cherry and chocolate chunk cookies pretty often! To really take them over the edge, chop the cherries roughly, then toss them with a little bit water and a few drops of almond extract. Then, let them sit for about 5 minutes to soften and hydrate a little. Pour off any extra water (add it to your coke for a yummy cherry coke) and add to your cookies. Almonds and cherries are in the same family, and the almond extract really amps up the cherry flavor.
When I tried to make tahini cookies, they were super greasy, someone on a facebook group suggested that I replace half my butter or all of it with tahini, worked very nice🥰
Only just started the video but I've heard of miso in desserts before so I'm interested to see how that turns out. Dark chocolate and cherry go great together ❤
Tahini is the base of one of most delicious traditional desserts consumed in Greece, sesame halva. It's also perfectly combined with lots of ingredients, including chocolate.
Baking soda will give you a crisp cookie. Baking powder will give you a cake like texture. Using both gives you a soft middle with a slight crunch on top and the edges.
Hi Rachel! There was this one UA-cam short and it was like “spicy potatoes” in the air fryer. I really think you should try it out. Thanks for reading this, bye
Sooo... what was your final thoughts on the Tahini, Rachh?? I didn't see any updates... These cookies look *DELISH* !! I *LOOVE* cherries so that's the one I'm looking forward to the most. I never would have thought to add cherries either (even tho' it's my favorite fruit.) Go figure! Good job, A.I. (until you destroy humanity... 🤣🤣)!
I've been making miso chocolate chip cookies and tahini chocolate chip cookies for years. Tahinis are my favourite. I put it with the butter and sugar at the beginning of the recipe, not after dough is made.
I love tahini and a friend made me tahini chocolate chip cookies and they were amazing! Dried cranberries are delicious in chocolate chip cookies as well.
We've used dried cherries in chocolate chip cookies and brownies for a lot of years. I think I got that idea from my mother-in-law, may she rest in peace. I use them in chicken salad as well. Would love to see this as a series!! What about cheesecake? 🤷🏼♀️
SOURDOUGH CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. I’ve never had a cookie that gets better 1-2 days later and NOT warm. They start out with a crème brûlée crispy top and cake middle. The next day it gets softer and chewy. I have a sourdough starter, but I’ve heard you can get some at a local bakery. It’s mixed so differently than I’m used to with normal cookies. SERIOUSLY! Give them a try! I hope you see this, I love your videos!
Aside from this, I think people could also make some cook book photos on image generator AIs. Then just edit them afterwards. Some could save a whole lot of money off of that.
This was definitely fun! AI did better than I thought it would do! I like dried cherries in chocolate chip cookies. I remember finding a recipe for that maybe 10 or so years ago. Thanks for reminding me about adding cherries! 😊
I'm bringing another channel into this but I remember one person adding miso in Try guys Without a recipe Cookies episode. Honestly, ChatGPT is a life saver and saves so much time from scouring articles. The recipes I've tried weren't the best, but it's really helpful for subject matter.
There’s an Aussie lunch place that is all over the country and they do (or did, haven’t been for a long time) a white chocolate, macadamia and berry cookie.
I think this would be a really fun series! It would be fun to hear Christopher get into his thoughts on the tech side, too. I can tell he's learned and thought about it quite a bit. LOLOL surprise! Video's up today instead of tomorrow - let's all pretend this is exactly what I meant to do and not that I don't know my days of the week 🙃
I was so surprised to see it a day early! I loved it though!
Seeing this made me question what day it was....😂
Lol I was actually so confused for a second there 😂
I’ve got to know! 1) what did the kids think? 2) did you ever taste the tahini??
2 Rach videos 2 days in a row. Not complaining at all
To be fair though if Christopher suddenly decided he wanted to make a UA-cam channel I’d definitely subscribe
I would too!
I would totally subscribe. I think he could make a really successful kitchen channel.
Same here
And me lol
Same!!
You should totally make this a series 😊
RAMMEN!! please :D
Yes absolutely!

Hi! Since you have tahini now-find a basic peanut butter cookie recipe and swap the peanut butter with tahini. They are so delicious! And you will for sure taste the tahini 😊
I never buy hummus anymore now that I have tahini and dried garbanzo beans. So easy and much healthier than store-bought 💜💙💚💛🧡
If you give AI a list of ingredients you have - it’ll give you a recipe ! Try that next!! I love these videos! Also glad you put it out today 😂
Ohh that's a great idea!
Yes, that would be a great idea to use in a cook/bake off❣
Ooh yes! I sometimes list out whatever I have at home and asks it to suggest recipe. I've even asked for specific ones like air fryer recipes!
Excellent idea! Like rolling dice and seeing what you end up with!
When you remember back in the days when Christopher wasn't comfortable even showing us his face and now see him go all-in for these is just everything!
14:04 Love how happy you look when you ask Chris to try the cookies with you 😍❤😅
I make mine with sour cherries and toasted pecans. I also swap half the flour for whole wheat pastry flour and put a tsp of cinnamon in them. My brother calls them my busy cookies.😂
Those sound absolutely delicious! Now I want to try “busy cookies” lol
The Christmas tree & berry farm near my house makes chocolate chip cookies for the holidays that contain oatmeal, cranberry & dark chocolate chunks! I wait for them every year 😋
Ask viewers to submit their "best" choc chip cookie recipes, pick 4-6 and try those!
I’m in. I’ve got a banana bread chocolate chip cookie recipe that will knock socks off. Lol😂
Salted butter for everything!!! If you're scared of too much salt leave out the salt in the recipe.
I am currently trying to make the cherry cookies but making it with browned butter. I can hardly wait!
Yess!! Cherry Chocolate Cookies are a staple here in Traverse City, Michigan 🥰
2:48 I use salted butter too. The key is just to know what your salted butter tastes like. Then you can adjust the salt if you need to (but honestly, most cookie recipes could use a little more salt anyway).

Okay, so this TOTALLY needs to be a series... can we get a savory version? Perhaps ChatGPT Ramen?
As a born and raised Mississippi southern farmer's granddaughter that spent many of my developmental years collecting pecans with a picker upper, I only accept puh-kaanz as the proper pronunciation.
I love that Christopher also feels the need to use decimals when grading on a scale 😂 Oop and Rachel too!

Dried cherries in cookies is awesome I can’t believe you haven’t tried them!
I can't believe it either - SO GOOD
I knew they would be amazing the moment cherry was mentioned. Chocolate cherry is a delicious combination.
Cherry is so good in a double chocolate cookie
Tahini is such an underrated ingredient for desserts
For real though, miso and tahini are kinda big brain, top tier recs
My father in law makes oatmeal cookies and adds dried fruit nuts and chocolate chips and dates I call them fruit cake cookies they are so delicious
Gemma at BiggerBolderBaking did this with a fruity brownie recipe. Her husband put in the qualities and she read the recipe for the first time on video 😂

Rachel looks absolutely fantastic in such a simple shirt, it makes me want to own one like it!
I’d absolutely die for you to make this a series! I love all your videos but this is a nice new twist 😀

Im so excited that you posted today!
You NEED to try the Salted Sweets brown butter chocolate chip cookie recipe. It’s SO good!
Do you have a link for them?
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know what day it is. Thank goodness for my phone....🙄But who doesn't love an early video from Rachel??🤩

Your videos make my week.
Oh I love Chocolate covered Cherry stuff. Especially the chocolate covered cherry blizzard at Dairy Queen!! ❤️❤️❤️ Can’t wait to search for dried cherries at the stores and putting them into my favorite cookie recipe!! 😍😍😍😍
Love this format! And a nice surprise to have the video a day early (totally on purpose, we believe you 😂)
So excited for a Friday video!!
If you want a really good cookie, try adding the tart cherries to the brownie cookie, or try adding butterscotch chocolate chips to the brownie cookie. They are both fantastic. Every time I make either of them my friends go crazy for them.☺️

Hahaha those subtitles translating chatgpt as shut cheapy tea. Not me confused for a whole minute 😅 good video tho, I demand a series! 🎉

I love these types of videos. You testing recipes is awesome!
you should do this with a food that you often make at home or that you or Chris makes really well (ramen?) and compare the AI recipes to your own.
She does make cookies a lot!
Might sound odd but I love Rachel’s face as she’s tasting the recipes… always makes me wanna try the food too!
Great video as always ❤❤ xx
Dried cranberries make a nice additon. They give a nice tart bite to off set the sweet.
Baking soda will give you a crisp cookie. Baking powder will give you a cake like texture. Using both gives you a soft middle with a slight crunch on top and the edges.

Totally a series! I vote RAMEN as the next. Maybe like gourmet ramen, best additions to ramen, and best homemade ramen??
I love making chocolate cookies with toffee bits, LOVE it!
I really liked this video and would like to see it in a series for sure! You guys made me so hungry for a cookie 😩
I think the cherry cookies will be the best!
Dry and wet measuring cups are SUPER different. I think 3 cups of chips in a liquid measuring cup is WAY more than actually 3 cups
...while that is technically true, I've never had an issue swapping the two in recipes (measuring liquid with dry measuring cups and vice versa) 🤷🏼♀️
@@lilannegirl03 Oh I have ! I think I measured milk in a dry cup and my cake batter was turning into a dough😅
@@jayg1316 oops! 🙃 well, unless and until I have something like that happen, I'll keep rolling the dice and measuring indiscriminately, lol! 😅🤷🏼♀️😂
14:10 Missed opportunity for the sniffy dog meme. LOL
I'm totally down for this to become a series!
A video from you on Friday?? This made my day!!:)
I definitely saw the Miso Paste thing on The Kitchen one time, never tried it though. Love tahini so Im sure that'd be great too...now I want cookies
Plllllleeeeeaaaaase make this a series!! Either channel. Both? Even better! 😂 And which did your littles like best? I want to try them all!❤
My favorite nice cream combo is cocoa powder and tahini, so I was excited for the tahini cookies!
Love this video idea, make it a series! 🎉
Sour cherries in oatmeal cookies instead of raisins are amazing!
I had off today. Not gonna lie. I had to check my calendar.
Then, I was happy for two reasons. It's still Friday and I got to see this. 😁
I love tahini and a friend made me tahini chocolate chip cookies and they were amazing! Dried cranberries are delicious in chocolate chip cookies as well.

THIS WOULD BE AN AMAZING SERIES!
Yes! Make this a series!! Perhaps for some type of cake next?
SOURDOUGH CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.
I’ve never had a cookie that gets better 1-2 days later and NOT warm. They start out with a crème brûlée crispy top and cake middle. The next day it gets softer and chewy.
I have a sourdough starter, but I’ve heard you can get some at a local bakery.
It’s mixed so differently than I’m used to with normal cookies.
SERIOUSLY! Give them a try!
I hope you see this, I love your videos!
Love that you guys are testing cookies like you’re tasting wine. You are cookie connoisseurs 😂
Aside from this, I think people could also make some cook book photos on image generator AIs. Then just edit them afterwards. Some could save a whole lot of money off of that.
I have made Miso cookies and they taste amazing! It makes the cookie a lot less sweet, but adds a really good flavour.
Love this video idea and can’t wait to try this myself to switch up some of my go-to recipes! I hope this becomes a series! 🤞🏼
This was definitely fun! AI did better than I thought it would do! I like dried cherries in chocolate chip cookies. I remember finding a recipe for that maybe 10 or so years ago. Thanks for reminding me about adding cherries! 😊
My local bakery in San Francisco has cherry chocolate bread. Delicioso!!!!So the cookies make sense to me!
I recently made brown butter miso chocolate chip cookies, and OMG, they were delish!!!
Sour cherries are going to be the best is my guess!
I'm bringing another channel into this but I remember one person adding miso in Try guys Without a recipe Cookies episode.
Honestly, ChatGPT is a life saver and saves so much time from scouring articles. The recipes I've tried weren't the best, but it's really helpful for subject matter.
actually i kinda know how the cookies with tahini taste like cause in middle east we have sweets that has sesame , tahini and sugar it is soo good !
And the best of those middle eastern sweet that contains sesame is Halvah 😋
There’s an Aussie lunch place that is all over the country and they do (or did, haven’t been for a long time) a white chocolate, macadamia and berry cookie.
💜🥰🤩🤗
I'm in for more of these👍
We need a Rachel vs. Chris A.I. (SUPRISE, let Lo pick one for each) recipe battle
I am in for a serie 😍😍😍 and now i am craving for a marzipan+ maraschino cherry cookie 😂😂😂👍
My 2 best chocolat chip cookie recipes have 1 bonus ingredient each : either a big spoon of honey, or an espresso shot. They are incredible!
Make this a series, Rachh. I need it!
I think this would be a really fun series! It would be fun to hear Christopher get into his thoughts on the tech side, too. I can tell he's learned and thought about it quite a bit.
Recipe idea - spaghetti would be fun because it can have so many variations - from scratch, from jar, very herby or very traditional, etc.
Vanillekipferl (Austrian Vanilla Crescent Cookies)
Popular throughout Europe, these shortbread cookies are of Austrian origin and their vanilla-infused flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture are sure to win you over!
2 cups AP flour; 1 cup unsalted butter , softened at room temperature
2 large egg yolks (optional; it does make the otherwise dry/crumbly dough much easier to work with but the cookies won't have quite the same melt-in-your-mouth texture *see Note)
4 ounces (about 1 cup) ground walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts (see blog post for more info)
1 package (1 1/2 teaspoons) vanilla sugar
(see pictured instructions in post on how to make your own vanilla sugar)
3/4 cup powdered sugar (aka confectioner sugar); small pinch of salt
For Dusting: 1/2 cup powdered sugar; 1 packet (1 1/2 teaspoons) vanilla sugar
Step 1. Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl and knead until thoroughly combined. Unless you're using the egg yolks the dough will be pretty dry and flaky, like shortbread cookie dough. Shape the dough into a log and wrap with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Step 2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 3. Cut off small pieces of the dough and shape them into crescents. Place the crescents onto a non-stick or parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake on the middle rack for 12-15 minutes (depending on the size of the crescents) or until the edges begin to turn golden.
Step 4. Combine the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Let the cookies sit for one minute and then use a sifter to dust them with the vanilla-powdered sugar while they're still hot. Let the cookies cool completely and then give them a second dusting.
Step 5. Stored in an airtight container in a cool place, these cookies will keep for several weeks.
please make this a series! it is so enjoyable
Definitely need more of this series!!
I really liked this video, it sounds like a cool series 😁😁😁
