I have to say one thing that many people may not pay attention too is the consistency of your weekly uploads. There are many top youtubers that never have consistent uploads and I know its not easy. Kudos to your guy's success and thank you for working hard every week. Your videos are great!
I was just thinking that same thing earlier today. When Rach needs to miss posting on her schedule, she at least tells us ahead of time or posts a quick “I won’t be posting this week” to let us know. There’s another YTer I follow who hasn’t been sticking to her schedule at all lately and it’s so disappointing when you look forward to something. So, Rach, kudos to you and thank you for being reliable! 😊
Laughing here. As the video ends my 6 year old daughter is saying, "hurry up and give her a smile thing mom. A view or whatever." 🤣🤣 She's got your back Rachel.
So weird, three of my favorite UA-camrs all had accidents where they lost recorded footage this week. Must be something in the air. Thanks for all you do for us.💙
Can we have a video where Chris shares his favourite recipes? Rachel you did say he gets many cookbooks from the library, I wanna see some of his favourite he has found over the years.
I'm sitting here watching, learning, laughing, and wondering why Rachel doesn't have 1M subscribers yet. One of the best ways to decompress and enjoy your day.
Becky from Acrehomestead makes this dip topping and she just pulses the cranberries in the food processor, removes them and then pulses the onions and jalapeños. She then just mixes it all together. So an easier way to make the cranberry topping over the cream cheese
I would put the pastry on top of the pie cutter then use a rolling pin. that way you know for sure when you're through and you can put extra pressure on the vent area with your fingers or the back of a spoon.
I use the food processor to make the cranberry dip and it’s perfectly fine. I just use the pulse function and not just turn it on. I’ve been making it for a few years and my family LOVEs it!!
I make that cranberry dip every year, i just rough chop my jalapeño and scallion and throw everything into my food processor, whole cranberries and all. It comes out just fine! Lol
All things cranberry are popular right now in the US and are a popular dish for our thanksgiving, which means we can actually find fresh whole cranberries this time of year. 😀
I make the cranberry salsa every year for thanksgiving and I use my food processor for it. I just pulse my cranberries in the food processor, put them in a bowl and then pulse the rest in the food processor together. Then mix all in with the cranberries and follow the rest of the steps.
Coffee patron with bailey's floated on top... it's called a baby guiness because it looks like a tiny glass of guiness but it's coffee with cream in it ❤️
My husband recently started making hand pies using apples from our garden. Tasty plus all the wholesome nostalgia feels. So I hit the zoom link as soon as your pies came out ok. GREAT stocking stuffer!! (& I might need the cookie cups to go with my coffee Patron)
The cranberry salsa is sooooooo good. I haven't made that recipe, I think I used Mel's Kitchen Cafe, and I got sooo many compliments and it was gone! 10/10 recommend it if you need an appetizer for anything!
Mocha fudge with Oreo crumbles on top would be fun, or peppermint becky swirl fudge. 💗 My favourite fudge so far is rum raisin fudge. Rum and cream are so good together. My favourites were the molds for the filled cookies/pastries, and I would also fill them with hearty ingredients like e.g. tarte flambée style or maybe chili cheeseburger style.
My sister-in-law makes the cranberry jalapeño dip every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. BUT she pulses both in the food processor and then serves it over the cream cheese as a spread 🤤🤤🤤
HI I love watching you both. When you were cutting out the pie shapes I was thinking that you could use them to make festive sandwiches. You wouldn't even have to cook them. Kind of like crustables. Have and amazing Christmas. Many blessings to you
With the cranberry salsa, put it in the food processor and mince it down into very small pieces instead of leaving it in huge chunks I make it and all the recipes that I see for it have you processing it down so you're not getting a big, bitter chunk of cranberry. The other ingredients will mix in and distribute better that way. Just make sure you do short pulses so it minces it and doesn't go too far and you end up with cranberry puree
As far as Kiwi Co boxes, my kids absolutely LOVE them! My best friend always gifts these for the holidays (educational and experiential), so we always have a steady supply. Totally worth it!
maybe you could try the pie things for a hack to make uncrustables! also i would love to see a video where you and chris show us your favorite drinks to make! as someone who is interested in trying new drinks but doesn’t know where to start i think it would be super fun! you could even just film them whenever you make them over the span of a few weeks or months!
I am so glad you tested those hot chocolate packets because I have them for my kids' stockings. Ps: they make a great Amazon add-on if you're trying to hit the minimum for free shipping.
I got cranberries in a too good to go package and made jam because I had the same thought as Chris. When are you gonna eat a fresh one. 🤭 I would love a video with Chris and shots/cocktails with the cookie shot glasses 👌
We make that cranberry dip all Fall and Winter. From the time the fresh cranberries show up in the store till they are gone (and our stockpile has bren gone through, lol). I used a blender to ruff chop everything or use one of those choppers from a few videos ago (have 1 they are awesome for canning). We also skip the straining. That juice is too good to throw put
Curious if the juice is worth drinking on its own, if you strain it out to make the dip less wet but don't want to pitch it. Cranberry juice is a pretty normal thing to drink, and it looks like most of the juice is from the cranberries, but I wonder how much jalapeño and onion flavor gets into it. Then again, if the finished product is as tasty as it sounds, the juice probably is no exception.
@@blaireshoe8738 probably not to drink (very syrupy and you do get bits of onion, pepper and cilantro (if you use it) in there) but drizzled on some cream cheese and a cracker, yum! We have a split in the family on cream cheese. So we don't actually serve the dip over it but rather to the side of the cc and use a slotted spoon. Solves the wetness when serving ( and everyone can make their own choice on the cc) but then you get to have the juice for midnight snacking
The one that appealed to me the most was the teeny pie molds. 2nd was the white chocolate/sugar cookie fudge. What about sprinkles & rice krispies (or a knockoff version) in that? Or nuts or whatevs appeals, but I want to try some variations. We make what the recipe called 'christmas crack' because it's really addictive, and it's similar in that you melt chocolate chips (and peanut butter chips) and stir in nuts, then let it dry in little spoon dollops, but I imagine you could pour it into molds, too. Enjoy your vids, as always, and seeing you and Chris trying things together makes me smile. Happy Holidays to you and yours. 😁👍🏻🎄⛄
For the fudge and smoothing it on top.... lay a piece of parchment paper on top while it's moldable and smooth it out. Leave the paper on top till it dries. Everything looked awesome!
I always chuckle how different a chef's pinch of salt is so much bigger. My version of a healthy pinch of salt is about 2-3 times as big as Rachel's - salt brings out flavours and sweetness
Raw cranberries are often made into a cranberry relish for Thanksgiving instead of a cranberry sauce. It’s usually made by grinding up in a food processor cranberries, a whole orange, and sometimes sugar.
Another good one video ❤ I don’t like fudge that much, especially with white chocolate ( because it’s already sweet) so I will add less condensed milk and ad some rice crispy into it which maybe some nuts or dry fruits or coconut flakes 😁 and make it thinner 😂
A marriage like yours 😍 you’re both so obviously in love still, after all these years. Been here since Julia ❤️ loved these, definitely going to try some!
Try using a tip of a knife to remove those intricate pieces of the dough that are for venting the pie. I’m not sure if you have it there but in the US we have refrigerated pie dough ( in that same section we have refrigerated tortilla shells that are uncooked, highly recommend trying if you have those. It will up your burrito game I can’t even express to you how much) it’s usually by the cheese/ sour cream and it’s pretty good pie crust dough to be honest that could be an alternate to the pastry flake dough but also they have cans of pie filling which those two items would make a truer mini pie whereas I think yours is quite delightful making a pastry, that’s actually more up my alley but I thought I would give you another idea to do. I really want these to try, they look sooo festive. I do believe I’m going to try most of these recipes because that sugar cookie fudge is an awesome idea too. Great series!
The juice that you drain from the cranberry jalapeño dip mix , I think would be a great mixer for maybe some kind of tequila cocktail , or some other clear spirit? Christopher??
Rachel. You can make your own edible cookie cups. It's fun to do and it will make a cool funny video for you. I had been making them for my kids for ages now.
You can 100% chop cranberries in the food processor. You just have to pulse it a few times, but make sure to let the blade fully stop between each pulse.
I think if you baked the sugar cookie mix in square pan, then poured the white fudge on top, that would be a good middle ground to be able to taste both
I have to say one thing that many people may not pay attention too is the consistency of your weekly uploads. There are many top youtubers that never have consistent uploads and I know its not easy. Kudos to your guy's success and thank you for working hard every week. Your videos are great!
Totally agree!

Agreed. Only tuber we can count on!
I love editing Rachel and her dedication to making the knife sounds match up with the royalty free Christmas music 😭🥰💜 love you so much!
Came here to say this ❤
Laughing here. As the video ends my 6 year old daughter is saying, "hurry up and give her a smile thing mom. A view or whatever." 🤣🤣 She's got your back Rachel.
😂😂 what a sweetheart, tell her I say thank you!!
@@RachhLovesLife will do. She is a loyal viewer. 😆 Aloha from Hawaii.
So weird, three of my favorite UA-camrs all had accidents where they lost recorded footage this week. Must be something in the air. Thanks for all you do for us.💙
You can also put the cranberry mix on a baked bried round. Just pile it on top after the brie is baked. Great on a platter.
Tbf she does on her main account
We need a segment where Chris shares his drinks knowledge
the jingle bells timed chopping! ❤💚
The knife cuts to the Christmas music was everything!! And I can’t wait to bring that dip to our family parties this year. It looks so good!
Chris flipping the fudge over reminded me of when you get a stain on the couch so you flip over the cushion. Like "there I fixed it.". Love you guys.
Add espresso to white hot chocolate...so yummy! And homemade Cranberry sauce in mittens 😁
The excitement she has while doing these. I want this kind of excitement in life as well.
I feel like the mini pies would make cute sandwich presses too! uncrushable style!
For the cranberry dip you can also swap the cranberries for fresh pomegranate seeds. Also delicious!
Rachael: Chris would be proud
Chris: needs quite a bit of salt 😂😂😂
The editing of the music to the chopping sounds is **chef's kiss**
I’ve seen the cookie shots served with espresso. It’s pretty good and the chocolate melts just a hit
Becky from Acrehomestead makes this dip topping and she just pulses the cranberries in the food processor, removes them and then pulses the onions and jalapeños. She then just mixes it all together. So an easier way to make the cranberry topping over the cream cheese
We made it that way and it really turned out perfectly & delicious too!
Also add a little bit of cumin. Amazing
Loved the chopping in sequence with the Christmas songs 😂❤️ that’s a cinematographers love language.
One of my favorite videos every year! ❤️💚
My mother-in-law makes that cranberry dip every year for thanksgiving and Christmas. It is so good
I made homemade marshmallow fluff this morning to make peanut butter and fluff-toasted sandwiches. My favorite winter snack.
You mean a fluffer nutter sandwich?
She chops along with Christmas carols! How festive!
Rachel, if using plastic cutters i find rolling a rolling pin on top of the cutter cuts the pastry very well.
i have to say one thing that really adds to the videos is Rachel's personality
Love how Chris is getting so confident on camera!!! 💛💛❄❄
I would put the pastry on top of the pie cutter then use a rolling pin. that way you know for sure when you're through and you can put extra pressure on the vent area with your fingers or the back of a spoon.

Chris is hilarious. "When would one ever eat a cranberry." 🤣

You can also usually find them frozen

I agree the pie molds would be good for breakfast too
I'm tempted to buy the pie molds for savory sausage hand pies. I could make those for Christmas.
Breakfast hand pies! Or tiny Christmas pasties! Brilliant!!
I make this dip every year! It’s always such a hit! I make it for every party I get invited to
I love Christopher's shirt, it is simply awesome.
I loved the cookie cups! They seem so festive and fun! Would make for a great gift
We’ve been making that cranberry dip for my sewing guild parties for years. Soooooo good!!!

We love Christmas rachel
My sister-in-law makes the cranberry jalapeño dip every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. BUT she pulses both in the food processor and then serves it over the cream cheese as a spread 🤤🤤🤤
Yes! That's what I was going to suggest. I think it would be much better as a paste.

I'm loving Chris' shirt so much!
Ooo. Rachel you could probably use the “pie” molds for pbnj (or maybe just j) sandwhiches. Or grilled cheeses or ham n cheese. . .
the jingle bell chopping edit ..... brilliant xx

i made the sugar cookie fudge last year and LOVED IT. Definitely making it again this year
I made it (or a version of it) several years ago and really enjoyed it. But I could definitely taste the sugar cookie mix in mine.
Love the idea of the cookie shot classes make mini mudslides

Chris makes a fair point- I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a *whole* cranberry 😅
I have. Instantly regretted it 😂
Maple walnut fudge is top! Walnuts just on top. Happy Holidays and blessings!
That pastry is undercooked but cute! Going to make the dip for sure though!

Merry Christmas, Rachel! ❤

I was checking for this kind of comment, thinking the pie dough might be a crisper shape, better edges
I’m wondering if you could also use these 4:57 to make your own uncrustables especially for the kids
I love your holiday videos. Curious to try that cranberry dip
Christopher going in with a YOLO with the cookie shot glass hahaha. "Does it?" *pounds the shot back* I bet he's fun at parties hahahaha

The pie molds are sooo adorable!
For the little pie things you could also make some type of diy uncrustables for your kids
Soonest I've caught a Rachel video! You make the day better. :)
Those look fun to make… I just also wanted to let you know Rachel I bought 2 of the Glass Teapots from last weeks video. For gifts.
Godiva chocolate liqueur, a white or a black Russian, a grasshopper, all those drinks would be good as shots in the cookie cups.
Saw this video right when it came out but had to wait until I got time to watch it while I am eating so I don’t get too hungry from watching 😂
Rachel. You can make your own edible cookie cups. It's fun to do and it will make a cool funny video for you. I had been making them for my kids for ages now.
I cut fudge the same size as baklava. It is very rich so one large or two small bites is usually plenty.
You can 100% chop cranberries in the food processor. You just have to pulse it a few times, but make sure to let the blade fully stop between each pulse.
I feel like a White Russian would be nice in those cookie glasses!🤷♀️👍🏻🥰
I want to add fresh rosemary to the cranberry dip!
the editing is hilarious! you chopping to the tune of the christmas song
The pink hot cocoa just makes me think of strawberry milk!
My eyes keep going to Rachel’s necklaces and how they look like a smiley face 😊
I think if you baked the sugar cookie mix in square pan, then poured the white fudge on top, that would be a good middle ground to be able to taste both
I love how you chopped to the Christmas music😂❤
