Let me start by saying well done mate by far the best video on UA-cam for viture Pro Glasses trust me people I watched them all 😅🤣!! Covering the my main topic/reason why I'm looking to buy the viture glasses my beloved steam deck 😁😂 my questions I have for you sir is how long do the glasses and steam deck run for battery wise? And also have u used geforce now with them on the steam deck because the battery would run for a lot longer and also I wondered if you can get the max 120fps on geforce now ultimate? Maybe a next video idea for you 😉🤣 thanks again 👌😁
Wow, thank you so much! I spent a lot of time on this video because I really love these products, and I wanted to do my best to show what I truly think about them. They are hard to explain without just putting them on because they are better than you probably think. As for the battery, using them increases the Steam Deck’s battery time because they use less power than the on-device screen, so that’s a plus. The OLED SD has the best battery life for a handheld PC to date. I have played on GeForce Now, and it’s amazing to max out all the settings and still have an insane amount of battery life. Currently, there is no native app for GeForce Now, but they have made it easy to install a web browser version on the Steam Deck (I have a video showing how to install it-super easy). However, it is limited to 60 FPS as of today. They are making updates all the time, so I’m sure sooner rather than later, we will get the 120 FPS unlock on the Steam Deck. When that happens, the combination of Steam Deck, Viture Pro XR, and GeForce Now is going to be an incredible experience. (If you decide to pick them up, please consider using my code: JOSHUAGRAY. You’ll get 10% off accessories, and I’ll receive a kickback. Thank you!)
I've watched loads of these reviews and I feel like this is the first that feels like a genuine representation of your thoughts, really helpful and interesting to watch.
Thank you, I really appreciate that. I spent a lot of time on this one because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just like everyone else’s. I had the XR One but never made a video about them. When I got the Pro, I loved them even more and wanted to do my best to share my experience and actual thoughts. I think tech like this is sometimes hard to describe unless you actually try it.
Thank you for your review and sharing your thoughts Joshua, love how you so perfectly captured the reason we started making XR glasses in the first place at the beginning - we're so glad you're loving VITURE Pro! 😎
Are you planning on making the glasses adjustable to higher prescriptions than -5.0? Unfortunately my vision is worse than that so I cant justify spending the money on these.
i just received the Viture XR pro glasses today and watched this review while wearing them. i like them a lot and I'm coming from the Viture XR lite glasses. they are brighter, bigger viewing area, seem clearer for small text especially on the computer and all around i think a great upgrade from the xr lite glasses.
Hahaha, that’s amazing! Thanks for watching! I was extremely surprised by the brightness difference. It was noticeable right away, even compared to the Viture ONE glasses that I had. I didn’t even have to do a side-by-side comparison.
@nophacetech Hey no problem, I went back in with your link and code and bought the dock, steam deck adaptor and a cable haha. Cant wait to get everything.
I'm surprised you said that none of the other glasses have that light blocking feature. The xreels have had it all along on the ex real pro. And it has three stages of brightness
Came from your yt short, i recently got a steam deck oled and i love this thing. But this would change the game. Excellent review! For the price it looks so worth it I might have to invest in getting a pair.
That’s awesome! Thanks for checking it out! I love them. I’m about to go on a flight tomorrow, and I’m pumped to sit and play some games uninterrupted and super comfortably. If you end up buying them, please consider using my code for 10% off accessories or even just to ensure I get a kickback to help me make more videos and keep this going :D Code: JOSHUAGRAY. Thanks again! I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
I ordered the Viture one accidentally thinking it was the pro, then ordered the pro when I realized. Couldn't cancel the first order on amazon so I get to compare side by side, the one and the pro. I am excited to try them though because I haven't tried anything like it. Main reason I wanted them is for my steam deck. So I am super stoked to hear that works well with it.
@@JoshuaThomasGray I haven't received the pro's yet, but I have been using the one's for the past week non stop for my steam deck and iPhone 15Pm and I love them. Just tried them last night with my MacBook Pro and I love the triple screen setup you can do with em.
1080p is actually not bad, and the pixels aren’t noticeable. If you were looking at a 100-inch screen in 1080p, it would look bad, but this looks great. Reading and productivity aren’t bad, but let’s just say I’m not selling my 4K OLED screen. I think a 1440p version would be the sweet spot for productivity, but it doesn’t look like anyone has done that yet (other than VR, but goggles on your face suck). I put them on to read through your comment and write my whole answer here. I’m reading and writing all your text and mine, and it’s fine. I’m noticing right away that I’m able to recline and sit in a far more comfortable position, and my neck is happy about that, haha. I’ve used them to work while traveling, and it’s nice for short sessions. I think I don’t use them mostly because they’re just not as sharp as my screen, and the lack of real estate-only being 1080p- isn’t enough for what I want to work on. But I could see someone having a workflow that they would really enjoy using this as their main display. It’s hard to say for you. It might be worth buying them, testing them out for a bit, and if they don’t work out, you can always return them :D. You can get 10% off with my code on all the accessories: JOSHUAGRAY. Hope that was a helpful answer to your questions!
UPDATE: OK, I’m going to take back a lot of what I just said because I decided to try using their software again. When I launched it, there was an update, and after updating, I think it’s already much better than it was when I quickly tested it last time. Previously, it was so unstable in my video that I basically shut it off and never went back to it. This time, I used it and found it actually kind of phenomenal. You can increase the resolution of your screen because they’re achieving this with software. They’re essentially creating multiple screens all stitched together and using the ultra-wide screen at 1440p, which can go all the way up to 4K ultra-wide. This improvement addresses the issues I mentioned earlier, making it much more suitable as a productivity screen. I need to spend more time with it, but after about 45 minutes of use, I found only a few minor glitches, nowhere near as bad as it was just about a month ago. So, if you want to use this as your main display, it just became a lot more realistic with their software, SpaceWalker. I’m definitely going to make a new video showcasing how much the glasses have improved with the firmware update and how much the software has improved. I take back most of what I said earlier-the app is pretty solid for productivity now. If you do end up getting them, please come back and let me know how they’re working for you in terms of productivity. I’m very interested in hearing other people’s case studies.
I want something like the Viture Pro but with 4K displays and something closer to a 110º FOV so when I'm using it to view my laptop screen, I can actually see the whole thing all at once.
Actually, when you use it on a Windows or Mac computer, their software seamlessly stitches multiple screens together, effectively giving you a 5K display. It’s pretty awesome! I’ll be making a full video on this topic in the next couple of weeks, so make sure you’re subscribed with notifications on.
I just bought these during the Amazon Prime day sale and have sent them back. I am shortsighted and these were my first pair of XR glasses. I chose these because of the built in dials to adjust for short sightedness. The problem is, the virtual screens would be sharp but all surrounding "see through" areas would be blurred due to my short sightedness. At no fault of the device, it doesn't work for me as I am unable to see my physical keyboard clearly nor my laptop screen (for extended virtual screen workspace). Having said that, Skywalker app for MacOS is pretty cool, allowing 3 side by side screens in different layouts.
ohh yes thats something i hadn't thought about.. did you know you can buy lens adapters so you could use them and see everything in focus? Yeah the app for mac is actually pretty amazing now!
It’s really weird that the instruction pamphlet that comes with glasses makes no mention of: double-clicking the short button to switch between controlling brightness and volume, or long pressing the short button to go into 3D mode, or long-pressing the ‘-‘ button to switch off the projected display. I tried long-pressing the ‘+’ button for 120Hz mode, but it didn’t work… so I guess I’ll have to upgrade the firmware.
Yeah it is strange.. I think it's because they're rapidly introducing new firmware updates and iterating on what the functions are going to be ultimately so they're not really concerned with putting it in print yet because it keeps changing. You should absolutely update the firmware. They made a lot of amazing changes including now you can just change the Hertz on your operating system like a regular monitor so no more need to fumble around trying to double click buttons or something you can just change it and now it automatically plugs in and it set to 120 Hz
I never touch the meta quest my kids do but I use the Viture glasses weekly and they are a life saver when traveling. If you end up grabbing them please use my code: JOSHUAGRAY 🤙🏼
Man! Such a good review of these glasses. I’m in the market, and have seen just about all videos related to this. I love gaming on my Steam Deck, but having to look down all the time or getting into a position that is comfortable is challenging. I’ve had my eye on video glasses for some time, but the resolution just wasn’t there, or dealing with that “screen door effect” took away from the overall experience. But these new Sony oled micro panels are simply amazing, and I’m defiantly ready to “buy in”. Thank you for such a thorough review, and my choice is clear! 🎮
Thank you! Yeah i love them so much. If you end up getting them please consider using my code: JOSHUAGRAY you will get 10% off accessories and ill get a kickback so i can keep making more videos :D
Hi, I hope you can help me. I just got a response from Viture support that when you connect an HDMI source to the glasses via mobile dock or the HDMI XR adapter it supports video ONLY in 1080@30fps. It does not support 24, 25, 50 or 60 fps. I find it extremely weird as playing games in 30fps on such a big screen is basically ... well... unplayable. Can you please check what video formats the glasses can connect to through HDMI?
I don’t have any precise way to measure, but I tried, and they seem to be as far apart as they can be. That could be the issue for me. However, it doesn’t bother me much. I still use them all the time and love them.
@@nophacetech Thanks, but do you have a measurement of what they should be, according to the glasses ? In inches or cm? Do you think the glasses are better or only really good for small and average heads, so to speak? Thanks again
I'm seriously considering getting these purely for work, would you say that you'd use this more than your external monitor? Just saw the end you were saying the tunnel vision issue for using it on PC
The tunnel vision issue occurs only while using their software or app, which allows you to have three displays floating in space. If you don’t use that app, you get one beautiful big display in front of your face. I have no issues with that, other than it not being perfectly sharp on the edges, but that’s due to my face or eyes. For most people, it works perfectly and can be sharp across the entire screen. Despite this, I used it the other morning as a productivity monitor for about an hour and a half without any issues. I plan on using these as my external monitor for work and gaming whenever I travel or even when I go to a coffee shop. They are perfect for getting some emails, writing, reading, or similar tasks done without distractions, allowing me to focus for an hour or two or three at a coffee shop. I think these are going to be amazing for that. (if you do pick them up please consider using my code: JOSHUAGRAY so i get a kick back and you can get 10% off accessories)
@@nophacetech I know you said "tunnel Vision" for the productivity stuff, but they do work seamlessly (at least on the Mac) if you learn the app hotkeys (shown in the menu - No Manual! ;-) to zoom/center/etc. For example, you can place the virtual monitors farther away a the hotkeys to see all of them quick and easy - you also want to lock the axises you're not using with the hotkeys as well.
I don't use them daily, as I have a nice 42-inch 4K OLED 120Hz screen that I enjoy. However, yesterday I played some Elden Ring in bed while drinking my coffee on the ROG Ally X with the Viture Glasses. I use them 100% of the time when traveling, and they’re worth their weight in gold just for that. I hope this answers your question! Let me know if you have any other thoughts.
If i may ask how wide is you face? On some people these look weirdly narrow but on some face like yours they look natural like a pair of rayban wayfarers
Hey Joshua I decided to purchase the VR pro's for my steam deck after watching this video, I used the discount code and got a whopping £35 off. I'm from the UK so shipping was £20. But hey it's still £15 off. Can't wait to try them. Thanks !
the one thing that differentiates Viture compared to the competition is the developer support. There are firmware updates, software updates, etc and it costs extra for the software smoothness but I think this is THE thing that makes Viture better than anything else out there atm
Man, I’m sooooo not interested in connecting a giant VR helmet to my head! That seems about as appealing as being in a coffin, and in both cases you’d only be able to see what’s in the box you’re in! These glasses seem like just the kind of experience that I would like.
Yeah, the glasses are a WAY less claustrophobic experience. VR is fun, but it also makes me feel a little sick, and I don’t usually get carsick or anything like that. VR can be very enjoyable in some cases, but for practical use, the glasses are much better. They don’t make you feel like you’ve been removed from the room. With the glasses, you still feel a lot more present, whereas VR makes you feel like you’re not even in the room with anybody anymore.
@@likestech1873 I don’t think so, as long as you’re sitting still. Maybe if you’re in a car because of the movement, but you probably wouldn’t do that if you get motion sickness
You mention edge-to-edge clarity being dependent on IPD. Do you know your IPD? It would be helpful to know if it would be blurry for anyone with the same spacing as you.
I don't know mine but they have it on their website so you can try figuring out your own and checking. They also have a great return policy so if it doesn't work you can always return them.
I was saying that for me, it’s not because my face shape isn’t sharp in the corners. That said, I actually did work on it the other day for about 2 hours, and as long as I just move the windows away from the corners, it’s fine. For most people, you will get a corner-to-corner sharp image, and then longer work sessions would be amazing. I was just sharing my personal experience. Also, I use them when I travel for work because I’m typically meeting or filming, so I don’t need a computer. But when I get back to the hotel alone with nothing to do, I can play some games before bed and it's super portable.
Any update after a month? Other options with same or better? Also did you try the other screen options? The ultra wide screen option seems like the best option, especially if you have control of window placement.
Yes! I can’t believe I didn’t show that. Just like the attachment on the Switch that I showed, there’s one for the Steam Deck. The battery attaches to the back, allowing you to charge the Steam Deck and plug your glasses into it as well.
@@moroteseoinage Perfect. Use my code JOSHUAGRAY so I get a kickback. You won’t get any % off the glasses because they are new, but if you want that power hub, you can get 10% off that and other accessories.
Your missus must be more tolerant than mine… she complained about the leaking noise from the built-in speakers when I had them on the lowest volume setting.
hahah nice! I was more talking i wish it could go louder for when I'm on an airplane that has lots of room noise but yeah that's impressive she could hear that at lowest!
Amazing thank you so much! Your going to love them! Also they updated the firmware and fixed most of my gripes! So make sure you check and update them when you get them.
I have never gotten motion sickness from these glasses, but I don't get motion sickness that much anyway. I do get motion sickness in VR, but not from looking at my phone while in a car or something like that. The glasses don't seem to do it to me, but I'm sure it would vary from person to person.
Thanks for your review! How would these work with over ear headphones like Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra etc.? Is the power/data plug a issue with ear cups of the headphones? Some say they are and some say they aren't.
My Bose QuietComfort over-ear headphones do go over them (but does not unplug them or anything) , but I can lift them slightly so they rest outside the headphones. It still works fine and doesn’t interfere with them. Definitely not perfect, but workable, I’d say.
Hey mate, nice review. Just a few things to add and a request if you can. You said electrochromic dimming is not being done by anyone else you know of but Xreal Air 2 Pro were doing it before these Viture Pro editions were introduced. Which brings me to my request, can you kindly do a comparison between them. Also if you can let me know if you can walk around with them on the street with say Google maps screen displaying on the corner of the glasses when you attach it to your phone and if the rest of the glasses are clear enough to see your surroundings while doing that. Based on the results of this exercise can you ride a bike trying the same scenario while wearing these glasses. The Xreal beam that is an accessory for the Xreal Air 2 Pro glasses allows you to adjust the screen size and distance to mitigate the tunnel vision effect. Can you please confirm if Viture Pro’s also let you adjust the distance and allow you to adjust screen size. Also if you do the comparison can you please look into color accuracy contrast and sharpness, who offers the best text legibility between them, and generally which one is the better option. Thanks 🙏
Hey mate, that’s a great point. I didn’t realize that the XReal Air 2 Pro had up to 99.9% electrochromic film like the Viture Pro. I’ll definitely look into that. As for your suggestion to compare the two, currently, I don’t have the means to do so as I don’t make any money from this and can’t afford to buy them for review. However, I hope this channel starts generating some revenue soon so I can review more products. Yesterday, I took the Viture Pro glasses to the beach and walked around with them connected to my Google Pixel 8 Pro. I was able to use Google Maps, and it was pretty awesome. You can see everything in front of you clearly, and when you need to check the map, you can just focus on it without any issue. I didn’t even need to put the map in the corner of my display because it was easy to see everything around me with the map floating in front of me. I also watched some video podcasts, which was very cool. You can move them to the corner since you don’t need to watch them constantly, but it’s nice to have the option. I don’t have a bike to test riding with the glasses, but from my walking experience (about a mile), I’d say you could definitely wear these while riding. You can have a podcast or maps on, and still hear everything around you since the audio isn’t covering your ears, making it safer. The map display works well, but I haven’t figured out how to move it just to the corner, which might be a bit annoying for biking. I need to spend more time with the app to see if it allows more customization. Regarding adjusting the screen size and distance, I’m pretty sure the app lets you do that, but I haven’t used it much. I’ll need to give it another try and get back to you. In terms of color accuracy, contrast, and sharpness, it’s hard to compare without having the other glasses on hand. The Viture Pro is extremely bright at 4000 nits, which is important for outdoor use. The glasses use OLED displays by Sony, so the color and sharpness should be good. Reading text on the Viture Pro is easy. I haven’t had issues reading text in the corners, though that might be due to my face shape. Most people will likely get a sharp image corner to corner. Yesterday, I read emails, texts, and websites by putting them in the middle of the screen. I don’t stretch them into the corners, so I can’t say if other displays would be better for text. The current displays are all 1080p. If there were 1440p or 2K glasses, they would be more enticing for productivity. For gaming, 1080p is sufficient, especially since most handheld devices don’t run games at full 1080p. In conclusion, I think Viture and XReal are the top two options, and there’s no huge discrepancy in quality. Their software options are different, so it’s worth checking out which one suits you better. Personally, I prefer the look of the Viture glasses; they are smaller and look like regular sunglasses. When walking around, people wouldn’t notice they’re not just sunglasses unless they got really close. The XReal glasses look bulkier on everyone. I hope this helps! Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to compare them in detail in the future.
Do i need any dongles to connect to iphone 15 pro ? Meaning will it work off mobile battery by itself or I need the docking station or one of the dongles they are selling with build in battery.
it has a screen in both eyes that mix when your looking into one massive screen.. and yes you put it on and magickly a screen is floating in front of your face.
You can do that using their software, which is already installed on your device. I’m making a video about the software soon, so keep an eye out if you’re interested in seeing how it all works.
@@nophacetech cool ill sub and keep an eye out. im looking for glasses that hook to a gaming handheld (steam deck / rog ally x) but with the ability to pin the screen in place when gaming without adapters and more wires. i think expecting players to keep their head completely still when gaming is a little odd and not ideal so not being able to anchor the screen when gaming is a deal breaker for me and is why im holding back on a purchase as of now. Im not sure if anchoring the screen when gaming is possible yet as every review so far has only shown that video/movie play back can be anchored but not gaming, hopefully there has been some updates or something to fix this as most the reviews i saw are 3 months old.
@@nophacetech one other thing... if the spacewalker app does not allow pinning the screen in place when gaming there is an app called "XR Gaming" by a developer called Wayne Heaney, he has a video on his channel called "Steam Deck XR Gaming plugin introduction" which appears to pin the screen in place when gaming but not sure if this is an official app yet. just letting you know in case you need this info for your upcoming review ;)
yeah but.. strapping a massive computer and screen on your face isn't very practical its not ready for prime time.. but that is all true what you said. I'm not going to bring my VR goggles on a plane just to have a screen lets put it that way.
I have the original (Kickstarter Marshmallow White) and still love it, but the magnet/connection was always rather finicky, regardless of which device I was connecting.... I never got to comfortably experience playing or watching anything while laying down.... is the connection of the Viture Pro to the Steam Deck and such pretty solid? As in, you won't lose connection by the slightest bump?
I have not but I'm sure they are very comparable. I just like the look of Viture more. Is there anything in particular about the XREAL Air 1's your looking at?
@@nophacetech Thanks for responding. If I do end up getting XR glasses I'll probably go towards the Viture's mainly because XREAL don't ship to Australia officially. Also Viture with the adapter is significantly cheaper than the Air Pro 2's (didn't know the Air 2's even existed since I accidentally scrolled passed it). Air 1's weren't too far behind price wise and lacked the dimming features which I thought was a cool thing. Sorry if you covered this in the video already, just typing this out quickly before heading to bed, but I'm gonna include a few questions below. How's the actual screen size? I see that they market it as a 130" screen but I've seen a lot of comments saying it's more of a "perception" thing and that it's really just however you perceive it against a background. Also how's the battery life? Regardless, thanks for the awesome video and for responding.
they don't have batteries so you just plug in like a monitor and use them forever. The perceived 130 inches screen is very hard to describe because sometimes it does feel like a huge screen like if you're sitting on your couch in your living room, looking out over your room, then it looks like the screen is taking up the entire wall of the room and it looks huge other times it can almost feel like you're holding an iPad super close up to your face so it looks huge but also at the same time it just looks like a screen is really close to your face but it's not annoying like holding an iPad. Super close to your face. This is what I mean by it's hard to describe. It certainly feels like a large screen, but putting how big of a screen it is is definitely a perception because it's not really there. It's kinda like VR in that way where some of these features you just have to put the glasses on and see it for yourself.
@nophacetech Alright, thanks so much. I'll probably end up buying them because of your review. :) Just one last question, when moving your head does it track constantly or have a sort of deadzone you have to hit before it recentres the screen?
Does this thing show you a fixed display or does windows stay where you place them when you move your head. I watched every review and I still couldn't understand.
its fixed in front of you.. they do have some sort of AR if your using their software and it can make a screen float in space a bit but its not like the metaquest or something.
Because the Steam deck output at 60Hz so the glasses grab the signal and use the that to lock the frequency. If the glasses were set like the dock, you can use 4K@120Hz; otherwise the Deck output at the safest resolution and frequency. To get full screen clarity you need adjustable IPD; which these glasses do not have
@@nophacetech they had to change the firmware to act like the dock; so it broadcast that it can support 120Hz; otherwise by default the Steam Deck output at the safest frequency that any monitor should support, which is 60Hz
I bought a pair and they worked fine until I tried to update the firmware. Using my Mac the firmware update failed mid way through the update and after 10 tries I got pissed and sent them back. I will wait the the next version. Oh, the sound on these things really suck.
Interesting that it wouldn’t update for you. I did it on my Mac, and it worked fine. Did you reach out for troubleshooting? Waiting for the next generation might not be a bad idea-they seem to keep getting better with each new version anyway.
Best video presentation on these glasses, so much so that I just bought a pair from Amazon - on a Prime discount deal. Only want them to watch films. Let's see how I go.
I would like to wait for probably the 2.0 or 3.0 version of the pro glasses hopefully it’ll be a little bit better software because the final thought you had kind of contradicted the way you liked it and I understand it cause I do the same thing where I’m like I really like something, but I hate these certain things about it and I’ll still use it so I’m just probably gonna wait but you’re enthusiasm and the video was awesome. It made me wanna buy them but your last thoughts made me hesitant because putting $400 down plus the attachments and all the other stuff. I don’t wanna buy something that I’m going to not be too happy with but I guess happy. I don’t know it’s confusing. I don’t know if I wanna spend the money. 😂🤦🏻♂️ what tech dilemmas we have.
Haha thank you! I actually made a follow up video not sure it will help with the dilemma or add to it haha but check it out: ua-cam.com/video/UOCBhhSEYNg/v-deo.html
The non pro version has the same feature but blocks around 80% of the light. I find that better. If I want 100% darkness I still can use the cover. 0, 80 and 100% is better for different ambients than 0 and 99.9 🤷♂️
That’s just common consensus… I, too refuse from day one to buy clunky, bulky goggles. I wanted something discreet and elegant from the onset. I hope the future does away with all bulk and streamlines to a watch and a pair of stylish wireless glasses that contour to the wearer’s face perfectly like designer glasses. You say you want louder speakers but there’s still a better solution. Bone conduction built into the temple of the eyewear.
I have the xreal air 2 pro those have the same function the lenses have 3 black adjustments and one cover. But forget the steam deck you haven't really tried the glasses till you try the lenovo legion go with the detachable controllers. The band for wireless streaming seems like an amazing product if it's low latency especially on the plane just leave your legion go charging in the seat and all you have is 2 joystick and the glasses.
I don’t travel hardly at all, but these glasses seem irresistible to me. I guess I’m just a techie. I’m just trying to figure out whether it will be the Viture Pro, the Xreal Pro, the Rokid Max or even the Rayneo2’s. Might be a hard choice!
Even without travel, they are so much fun to use around the house. I actually wore them to the beach yesterday, and it was awesome. Listening to and watching podcasts, and testing out maps was cool. So yeah, even without travel, they are definitely worth it. If you end up going with the Viture Pro XR, please consider using my code: JOSHUAGRAY for 10% off all accessories, and it gives me a kickback.
Roger that. Sorry you couldn’t watch the entire video; I put a lot of hours and work into it. :( May I ask what you used for playback, like studio speakers, earbuds, over-ear headphones, or your phone? Sound can be totally different on different devices, and knowing this would be helpful for future edits. Thank you!
I agree I’m using headphones and it’s hard to hear I just hear the background music same with using the speakers built in my iphone just remove background music entirely or tone it down just a bit
Thanks for the review and it was a great review. I also really appreciate your responses to everyone. Awesome engagement. The product is not right for me, since i have young kids and they will destroy it. Lol.
A huge dealbreaker is the lack of correction for hyperopia, and not just myopia. Really strange design choice, it renders them useless to a lot of people i guess.
I am also hesitant to make the purchase for this reason. Without the ability to try them on, there is a huge risk that they won't be suitable and will need to be returned. I wrote to customer support about this, but the response was very vague. I'll have to wait for reviews from users with the same issue as mine.
They do correct for hyperopia; I don’t know why their marketing only mentions myopia. However they will only correct to the equivalent of +1.25, which is only just enough for me. I may have to start wearing contact lenses with them if my eyesight deteriorates further (which it inevitably will, since I’m 52).
You would think so, but actually, it doesn’t bother my eyes. I have worn them for hours at a time. They actually have a "MicroOLED display that's gentler on your eyes than most phones and monitors, earning it an SGS A+ rating." I think it might also have to do with how you’re not looking directly at a screen, but at a reflection of a screen.
I knew tey weren't for me after using them for few hours. The low resolution, poor color depth, and anbiant light were too distracting for me to enjoy wering them to work, play or watch enternaiment. That and the lack of 3d spacial locking.
I'm so tired of these inaccurate sponsored reviews. I've been researching glasses to determine which ones to purchase and, although I'm in no way an expert, I don't think I can get through a single video (including this one) that doesn't have blatant errors in them.
I want to clarify that this video is not sponsored-I wasn’t paid and didn’t sign any agreements. What specific errors are you referring to? I believe one mistake was stating they were the first to have the full blackout film, which I now realize is incorrect. However, this wasn’t a blatant error. I’m not sure what other errors you’re mentioning or what additional information you’re seeking in the review that isn’t already covered. Feel free to ask any questions-I’m happy to provide further details!
I completely agree @Duffbeeryahoo. I did find another video where the person clearly stated they were given the glasses and gave their opinions - pros and cons. @nophacetech lying by omission is still lying. You weren't paid and didn't sign any agreements - I'm happy to take your word on that. But were you not given some, if not all of the equipment? You're dancing around the point by specifically stating you weren't paid and didn't sign any agreements. To be clear, you're not the only UA-camr who's done this - I was watching another video about XR glasses and it was similar in trying to hide the fact that the glasses were provided for free. But after seeing the 3rd video in a row - actually just 3 in 4, given the one I mentioned above - I got fed up enough to end up creating an account just to comment. The quality of your production is great, it's just terribly disappointing to know that I can't trust you well enough. Just to be fair, I did sit through the end of the video, and I genuinely think you do love the glasses and your gripes seem legitimately honest, but nothing in the first few minutes made me think your review was going to be trustworthy. Now you know why.
Samsung, Google, Meta and Apple will release true AR glasses in a few years. At that point, it's game over for these "AR" glasses startups - no more Viture, XReal, etc. Companies like Meta and Apple are just waiting for the tech to mature. 1080p + 46 degree FOV = not good enough to put their brand name on.
So you are into VR and AR but don’t know how to put on a Meta Quest 3 headset lol yea this video seemed biased at the start like they are paying you or something lol too funny kid

Same here! Thank you I never knew something like this existed.
Thank you, guys! Keep up the great work making amazing products :D
Thanks man just bought the Pro XR and a controller with your link and the discount applied so thats cool
nice lets go!! thank you :D
@nophacetech Hey no problem, I went back in with your link and code and bought the dock, steam deck adaptor and a cable haha. Cant wait to get everything.
I'm surprised you said that none of the other glasses have that light blocking feature. The xreels have had it all along on the ex real pro. And it has three stages of brightness
yeah that was my mistake i didn't realize they had that. I think all future glasses will have this feature feels like a must have for XR glasses.
So I am super stoked to hear that works well with it.
hahha oh no! How are you liking them!? They are honeslty the best Steam Deck asscessory every imo.
@@JoshuaThomasGray I haven't received the pro's yet, but I have been using the one's for the past week non stop for my steam deck and iPhone 15Pm and I love them. Just tried them last night with my MacBook Pro and I love the triple screen setup you can do with em.
Underrated channel! You sold me!
thank you :D
Is 1080 enough?
Are pixels noticable?
What about reading/coding all day long?
Any rye strain?
Can you sell your monitors already?
@@nophacetech Thank you very much for the great response! I'll let you know here, if I get them myself 👍
@@nophacetech Thank you very much for the great response! I'll let you know here, if I get them myself 👍
Ordered 3 days ago and man the wait is like waiting for steamdeck to arrive!
you really got me interested in this type of product, i was going for a quest 3, just for the experience, but these.. these i would use more often

Thanks for the honest review. Regarding the edge to edge sharpness, what‘s the distance between your eye-balls? And do you think they’re to far apart?
Do you like it as a daily driver.
😂😂
Hey Joshua I decided to purchase the VR pro's for my steam deck after watching this video, I used the discount code and got a whopping £35 off. I'm from the UK so shipping was £20. But hey it's still £15 off. Can't wait to try them. Thanks !
nice lets go! hope you like them as much as i do!
the one thing that differentiates Viture compared to the competition is the developer support. There are firmware updates, software updates, etc and it costs extra for the software smoothness but I think this is THE thing that makes Viture better than anything else out there atm
Yeah, I just updated them a couple of days ago and got a brand new feature for adjusting the screen angle. It’s awesome - they’re great!
Man, I’m sooooo not interested in connecting a giant VR helmet to my head! That seems about as appealing as being in a coffin, and in both cases you’d only be able to see what’s in the box you’re in! These glasses seem like just the kind of experience that I would like.
@@JoshuaThomasGray I get motion sickness rather easily. I am pretty curious as to whether that will happen with the AR glasses.
Since its not practical for work then whats the purpose of buying it. We dont travel every month for holiday. But we travel for work.
They did a firmware update and fixed most of my gripes.. I am going to work on a follow up updated video in the next couple weeks!!! stay tuned!
Will a powered hub off a steam deck work?
Yes! I can’t believe I didn’t show that. Just like the attachment on the Switch that I showed, there’s one for the Steam Deck. The battery attaches to the back, allowing you to charge the Steam Deck and plug your glasses into it as well.
@@nophacetech yeah I’ll probably get one based on your review. I love cheap Chinese electronics

@@nophacetech Awesome! Good to know. Thank you!
What about motion sickness?
I have never gotten motion sickness from these glasses, but I don't get motion sickness that much anyway. I do get motion sickness in VR, but not from looking at my phone while in a car or something like that. The glasses don't seem to do it to me, but I'm sure it would vary from person to person.
Does anyone know if these pair to a laptop without that silly brick thing?
if your laptop has USB C video out you can just plug it right into it.. like on my mac i just plug it in and it pops up like an extra monitor.
Fantastic review!
thank you :D
Do these work with bluetooth headphones such as airpods?
YES THAT IS ALL I HAVE WANTED! NOT THOSE OTHER THINGS.
right
Thanks for your review!
Meaning will it work off mobile battery by itself or I need the docking station or one of the dongles they are selling with build in battery.
on the iphone 15 with USB C it will just plug right in and work perfectly!
Now try with the XR Gaming Decky plugin.
what does XR gaming Decky plugin do?
Do you see the screen in both eyes or just one? And if both eyes do you get used to it quickly?
it has a screen in both eyes that mix when your looking into one massive screen.. and yes you put it on and magickly a screen is floating in front of your face.
can you anchor the screen in place without having to hook up a billion adapters like the xreal ones ?
Is there anywhere I can try them before purchasing? I’d really like to see if the experience is right for me.
unfortunately they are not on display anywhere.. but you can buy them and return them for any reason so if you don't like them you can return them.
You can do something with oculus remote display for a single large monitor or workrooms for 3 medium monitors for a lot less money and it's wireless
yeah but.. strapping a massive computer and screen on your face isn't very practical its not ready for prime time.. but that is all true what you said. I'm not going to bring my VR goggles on a plane just to have a screen lets put it that way.
I want them to watch VR movies. Are they better than the meta quest 3? I'm a little confused here
Is a powerful PC necessary to play VR movies?
I have the original (Kickstarter Marshmallow White) and still love it, but the magnet/connection was always rather finicky, regardless of which device I was connecting.... I never got to comfortably experience playing or watching anything while laying down.... is the connection of the Viture Pro to the Steam Deck and such pretty solid?
As in, you won't lose connection by the slightest bump?
Oh yeah, the magnet is very strong, and I don’t have any issues with it when I’m lying down or anything.
Have you tried the XREAL Air 1's? Was wondering how they compare to the Viture Pro's.
I have not but I'm sure they are very comparable. I just like the look of Viture more. Is there anything in particular about the XREAL Air 1's your looking at?
@@nophacetech
Thanks for responding.
Just one last question, when moving your head does it track constantly or have a sort of deadzone you have to hit before it recentres the screen?
Does this thing show you a fixed display or does windows stay where you place them when you move your head. I watched every review and I still couldn't understand.
its fixed in front of you.. they do have some sort of AR if your using their software and it can make a screen float in space a bit but its not like the metaquest or something.
Because the Steam deck output at 60Hz so the glasses grab the signal and use the that to lock the frequency. If the glasses were set like the dock, you can use 4K@120Hz; otherwise the Deck output at the safest resolution and frequency.
To get full screen clarity you need adjustable IPD; which these glasses do not have
No, they did a firmware update, and now it defaults to 120.
@@nophacetech they had to change the firmware to act like the dock; so it broadcast that it can support 120Hz; otherwise by default the Steam Deck output at the safest frequency that any monitor should support, which is 60Hz
Xreal air pro 2 has the lens color change. I dunno if it's 99 percent (but has to level of blackness that I think it's a better option)
yeah i didn't realize they had it go so dark as well.. they look good too.
Let's see how I go.
nice! did you get them already? would love to know how you like them!
something similar to quest with steam link in steam deck, but more comfortably
@ well damn you 😂😂😂 you have added to my dilemma.
The non pro version has the same feature but blocks around 80% of the light. I find that better. If I want 100% darkness I still can use the cover. 0, 80 and 100% is better for different ambients than 0 and 99.9 🤷♂️
yeah it would be REALLY nice to have the option to stage between different levels of darkness like the Xreal have.
The band for wireless streaming seems like an amazing product if it's low latency especially on the plane just leave your legion go charging in the seat and all you have is 2 joystick and the glasses.
yeah dang with the legion go they would be amazing!!! I really hope the Legion go 2 keeps the detachable controllers.
Man, lower the music in the video, I couldn’t complete watching this video because of the annoying music.
Just to counter this a bit, I am listening to this on my iphone 15 pro speakers, can hear your voice fine over the music
@@CharmanderTheAndy I’m using the iPhone 15 pro as well
I’m on headphones and can hear everything just fine. Try harder
Great video but the music in the background is FAR too loud.
thank you and you are not the first to point that out hahah
Thanks for the review and it was a great review. I also really appreciate your responses to everyone. Awesome engagement.
The product is not right for me, since i have young kids and they will destroy it. Lol.
hahah wise. thank you for watching :D
The glasses are worth it
100% they are the best
@@happyspaceinvader508 that is precisely the point I am at. I will not be forced to use contacts for that reason
This is the way.
hahah
1:06 don't forget RR... Real Reality ( I prefer Actual Reality, but the acronym was already taken.)
As a us marine. I cant wait to use this to sham at work to a degree my dinosaur near retirement SNCOs cannot comprehend.
hahah let's go! thanks for your service!
lmao im navy. I feel so tempted to just have these on watch.
Is this better than NREAL?
I have not tried the NREAL so I can't say.
@@nophacetech this one has glass dimming doe i think this one better, nreal still uses cover last time i saw
Nice review just need to work on your audio mix and the b roll is a lil samey. Liked and subbed
thanks for the sub!
Your neck might not get knackered but your eyes will
You would think so, but actually, it doesn’t bother my eyes. I have worn them for hours at a time. They actually have a "MicroOLED display that's gentler on your eyes than most phones and monitors, earning it an SGS A+ rating." I think it might also have to do with how you’re not looking directly at a screen, but at a reflection of a screen.
i would consider buying this if it drops to about 100 $ range. Price/Tech is absolutely nonsense at the moment.
like 100 off or they only cost 100 total? Lots of TV and monitors cost way more than these do.. i honestly think the price point is not bad at all.
the dock is £300
are they having a laugh
the dock is $129.
Coco butter on a 4070 with chocolate chip cookies 🍪.... your welcome
dang.
I’m guessing it’s not really viable for people who wear glasses already
Depending on your eyesight they do adjust so it might but you can get them set up if you need more
I bought their inserts from a company they collaborated with that has my prescription.
@@bryancartagena3286was that expensive?
@@happyspaceinvader508 depends what is expensive to you. I had the money saved up but it was around 100
I knew tey weren't for me after using them for few hours. The low resolution, poor color depth, and anbiant light were too distracting for me to enjoy wering them to work, play or watch enternaiment. That and the lack of 3d spacial locking.
these wold be prefect if they were completely wireless
some day they will be..
Omg the price please don't look at the prices
💀
Xreal screens become darker and they have android apps that can use multi tasking with multiple screens
Viture also has an awesome app that does that as well.. not sure about the darker claim.
Until this video, I thought it would be a waste of money as a family man with kids.
Price is too high.
I hear you! no need to spend our hard earn money on the new cool tech.
60hz vs 120hz; You're using a Switch, and a Steamdeck... you arent going to get 120fps, you realize that right?
the steam deck gets 120 fps on thousands of games.
@@nophacetech lmao. thousands of pixel art /indy games sure.
The screen size is the size of a small tablet near your face with blurry edges and you cant see the bottom very well. Very shill like review
It sounds like you haven’t actually tried these yourself, because your description is inaccurate.
@@nophacetech I own a pair and it's accurate
Too much music put in this video. Stopped watching at 2:08
noted. Im working on a 2 month review and the music will be dialed back
@@nophacetechgood bro u need to learn but fr the music so annoying
Samsung, Google, Meta and Apple will release true AR glasses in a few years.
At that point, it's game over for these "AR" glasses startups - no more Viture, XReal, etc.
Companies like Meta and Apple are just waiting for the tech to mature. 1080p + 46 degree FOV = not good enough to put their brand name on.
“In a few years” I’ll be ready to buy those mythical AR glasses. Until then, the Viture makes travelling so much more enjoyable.
You’re cute. And make great content. Just got mine. Love them.
So you are into VR and AR but don’t know how to put on a Meta Quest 3 headset lol yea this video seemed biased at the start like they are paying you or something lol too funny kid
no just having fun and trying to be creative :D

Hated that dumb music and the hole add is way to long

The glasses are garbage. I returned them.
