A320 | ROUGH LANDING IN A STORM

- Airbus A320 landing in bad weather, i used my phone attached to a chest strap, the landing was so hard that it came off. The Fisrt Officer was the pilot flying, due to the heavy rain he lost the visual depth and didn't flared enough.
No passengers or Aircraft were harmed making this video.

Your hardest landing would be my smoothest landing xd
xD
🗿I found u again
Nope
Lmao
Yes it was hard but landing any less than 150 feet per minute puts at a higher risk of hydro planing. A really good landing for those conditions! Good job!
You have a translation
Positive landing, no flare. Best to cope with these conditions.
@@apogaeum4313a no flare would be pretty hard maybe a little flare
That was not a hard about that landing. It was a bit firm, but not hard. When are people going to learn that a smooth landing says little about a pilot's skill. There are 100 other things to judge a pilot on but all YT does is judge from a pilot's landing.
As a passenger, I actually like firm landings, I always remember them.
Shut up ya nonce
Good job landing the plane hard. It's actually advisable to land the plane hard in very wet conditions to reduce the risk of aqua planning .
That wasn't hard, it was a bit firm. There is a difference. Even it this was in dry weather conditions, it would have been fine.
Landing this good in such conditions?? Hats off to the pilots!
ILS
ILS has nothing to do with landing good. ILS provides lateral and vertical guidance from a localizer to keep your glideslope onto the runway intact. It still takes a lot of skill in multiple other aspects.@@ThorfinnKarlsefni1
@@ThorfinnKarlsefni1is a manual landing auto pilot disengage
@@hasithapriyasad see on the console you can see cat 1
@@ThorfinnKarlsefni1 cat 1 means manual landing. You can also hear the autopilot disengage.
Man those window wipers crazzzy
Ikr 😂
Love how you stayed bang on the glideslope even during the flare
Nice job. Wet runway, you gotta plant it.
First of all, this seems like a firm landing, not a "hard one".This is not the pilot's mistake but a deliberate maneuver in those weather conditions. Also having the "five" callout is an airline option and is not an indication of touchdown smoothness. Some have it some don't.
I mean if you look at the sink rate the landing was about 400fpm which is hard but at the rain it's good to land a bit harder as you said, so all on all a good landing
@@bread23334maybe it was due to the speed? They were pretty slow, looks around 130-135kts - once they retard the throttle I’d imagine they would start falling like a brick, damn near stall speed. Might’ve been done purposely to ensure they land early and avoid floating and using too much runway in wet weather
@@taboo0aircraft may have been light
the "five" callout does not necessarily means that it will be a smooth touch down, in fact in this video it proves the opposite, it is less than half a second from "five" to touchdown meaing that vertical speed was very fast at landing. it certainly was a rough landing
In wet conditions it’s easier for a smooth landing…he forgot to flare😂
It’s called “positive landing”. In order to prevent hydroplanning, positive landing technique must be applied.
Well done. Keep up the great work 👍 😅
After watching this twice, looks like they had 2 white and 2 red, maybe the nose was just a little too high on touchdown but still a good landing, the aircraft is in one piece and so is the crew..👍👍
Beautifull❤
2 white and 2 red means rhey fine right
@@beanz5508 right on the glide slope, always a good angle of decent 👍👍
@@rmaxwell3294wasn't it 1 red and 3 white? Not 2 red 2 white
Flaring a bit too early at 50ft is my conclusion, the wind was pretty much below 5kts so I can say this
Pretty good landing if you ask me
Great work getting everyone down safely!
Great job filming and flying. You’re the safest Pilot. 😂😂😂😂😂
I was looking for this comment to see if anyone would realize this. And it’s the captain filming. May not have been the one landing but still!
Stunning perspective! May I feature this rainy landing in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
your compilations are nothing short of stupidity and reusing content that's not yours
Have been thought that those who do enjoy to criticize the maneuvers of the "real" qualified experts but themselves aren't qualified at least and just misjudging with their shallowest knowledges, inhabits on my country mostly, But here they are! Those kind of people are everywhere!! 😂
BTW Nice firm landing Captain!
I assume people who complain about how it was filmed know a 100% sure that it was filmed phone in hand. It could be impossible for it to be a go pro attached to their chest or neck
Amazing Landing
For all those thinking the landing was hard, well when the runway conditions are wet, the pilots opt for firm landing on the runway (aqua planning) .. In other words to get better grip. Happy Landings ✈️✈️✈️
It was almost 400 fpm left.. it’s not positive touch it’s hard landing
So hart war das auch wieder nicht. Super Video, mehr davon bitte!
Finde ich auch!
Was raining hard but if you look at the speed and vertical speed was pretty smooth
Very safe landing on weat runway. Good job.
Good job, glad everyone is safe 🙏🏻
there's no crash lol
@@mci122 what does that mean? Does there have to be a crash for a situation to be difficult for the pilots? No! Do you know anything about flying? Clearly also no!
@@Crystal-be9ze no unless you are riding a boeing lol (non-sense joke)
I have a question here. Why not do a CAT3 Dual Auto Land? Butter landing. Fantastic job!! @RobT_Cockpit_videos
That's no butter landing, dangerous. In this case you need positive landing to avoid hydroplaning
My question is , why is the captain recording with a cell phone while performing a critical landing even if he's Pilot monitoring not pilot flying still... Great landing though not going to lie for that situation
I‘d shit my pants if I ever had to land this myself. Seeing the rainy runway approach like that
I’m sorry what did you just call me??!?!??!?!😂
RETARD
(the thrust levers 😉)
Nice graphics
It’s real life genius.
Good job NYC landing
That’s firm landing sometimes butter landing is danger when the runway wet so pilot will do firm land to ensure aircraft safe (hydroplaning)
perfect landing for that condition. prefer firm positive landing rather than caught in aquaplanning
My dream👨🏻✈️
Better have your mental health in checked because it's a very stressful job
@@caribbaviator7058I don't suffer from illness, blindness, or poor eyesight. Don't worry.
If you hear „5“ it can’t be a hard landing 😄
UA-cam Legends say: “When you hear FIVE, then that is a butter”.
When you don’t hear the ‘10’ GPSW alert, it is definitely a hard landing.
I love 👏 bravissimi 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹
Nice MSFS Landing Is this the Fenix or Fly by wire ?
Bro that is real life not MSFS
@@aero3831 real?
A hard landing is always good so the brakes can do better work on touch the ground for short runways that's the best
Hydroplaning. Good👍🏻
I thought that was Microsoft Flight Simulator
Too realistic rain for Microsoft.
Instrument_approach 👍
ZRH international ❤
real life is pretty realistic tbh
Thats called positive landing
Not hard at all that’s a good FIRM landing which is needed when it’s wet like that.
Yes, they must to relax after that, and 3 beers. Professionals.
Even if it was dry it would have been perfectly fine.
wet runway needs to firm landing
O mais engraçado é ver uma galera que joga em simulador, avaliando o pouso de um cara que pilota na vida real xD .
Brincadeiras a parte... Essas condições são interessantes e perigosas :)
how do the pilot record? is it with handheld device?
This needs to be shown to all those idiots always commenting “iF yOu hEar 5 YOu kNoW iTS gOnNa be bUtTer!”
Landing harder than normal is standard procedure on a wet runway
War doch eine schöne Landung.
Richtig, positive Landung. Alles gut.
wipers struggling more than pilot 😅
my a320 landing be like in msfs
The wiper 💀
機長ですか?😮
see kids? 5 RA callout still happens on hard landings
Rare footage of me landing in infinite Flight
Touch down was a bit rough
As always advised in such weather to avoid aqua planing.
I am more concerned about who is filming this.
Exactly.
50…….30…….20….10..5..BAM!💥 😮
You could also use autoland
Autoland is only utilized for CAT III ILS landings, it's unnecessary if it's just rain, cause the pilots are trained to hand-fly in such a situation
Esse flight simulator 2020 ta muito realista kkk
Главное безопасно и в зону приземления.
Ага
❤
this is why i prefer boeing
Windshield wiper going bonkers
When the airbus says "5", it's not a hard landing. :)
💪💪😁
Game name?
this is real life...
not hard landing. pozitive landing.
😮
Dont get why you disconnected the AP when you had CATIII app. Is there a reason for doing that? The rain? In my case, I’d have disconnected it like 100AGL
It's an ILS CAT I. Look at the minimum.
You think so?@Terminator-
Tijuana?
Where u see hard landing?
ué so gringo aqui ?
Why was AP disconnected? Why not autoland in that amazinf a320?
Not hard landing. It’s just a firm one. When rains this heavy, I personally will flare at 30 ft and intentionally flare a bit more than usual cause the downdraft precipitation will push your nose down anyway…
Why do the wipers suck so bad.
also they're loud as hell
Cam sileceğine maaş bağlayın !
POV: Ryanair adopted A320
😐
😐
Hard landing ? Bro that a320 using ils to lamd is no joke, that’s literally AI LOL
It's a manual landing, autoland is only used on CAT III ILS landings, basically zero visibility landings
Too high pitch and slow approach with less then 140 knots that’s why they did hard landing they were flaring from 50ft over threshold
Nope, that is not high pitch. Look at pfd, he did not go over 5. And that is not slow. Its pink, he was on managed speed and its auto thrust on and there is no violent speed vector trend. He didn’t pitch up enough to reduce fpm to around 400 from 700 at 50. And he kinda let go after 30, instead of keep flying the plane and offset 8 seconds of nose drop by pitching up. (Im typed in a320) But its perfectly fine landing. It was centerline and in touch down zone. Smooth landing is 3rd priority.
무언가 위험하게 한손으로 들고 찍었나?
That’s a firm landing not hard. The runway is extremely contaminated in that wx
At ours, positive landing was even standard procedure in any conditions (4eng turboprop).

You clearly don't know the definition of a hard landing mate. Title just for the views
Man. Dont be a heater😒 is that all u do?
Calm down bro.
That was a -400FPM landing lol. It was definitely a hard one
@@blumac9801 and in person, the landing probably felt incredibly hard. The video makes it look smoother than it really was
How is that a hard landing, you could even hear "Five".
you ever hear that when you land (specifly on the Company)
that "five" callout does not necessarily means that it will be a smooth touch down, in fact in this video proves the opposite, it is less than half a second from "five" to touchdown meaing that vertical speed was very fast at landing. Quite a rough landing indeed.
If you listen closely you can hear the pilot say “Ryanair” After touchdown
Reverse green
It's an absolute normal landing man. On touch down camera shook a bit that's most likely. Wtf as a passenger when u feel the landing jerk think same for a hand held camera
E
Auto pilot most of it.. !!
Sterile cockpit has left the chat. Please tell me you didn’t have a phone in your hand while PM on final 💀
For real. Very unprofessional
Sometimes I feel like people forget GoPros that can be strapped to your chest exists.
smooth landing not hard
Shit landing😂😂
Nah that was perfect for the conditions
id like to see you try better
A positive landing, if the pilots tried to land smoothly, there's a chance the wheels would hydroplane reducing the braking power of the plane
Misleading title for views. Horrible publisher and beautiful landing under challenging weather.
IF CALL THAT A HARD LANDING- YOU REALLY NEED TO FLY MORE!!!
As part of the operating crew, do you think it is sensible to be recording on your phone? Particularly in those conditions! Total incompetence and utterly unprofessional... and all for a few likes and views on social media.
you call that a hard landing 🤣 what I went through in a similar situation is called " a landing that brought up COA check early" fyi readers only pilots will get this lame joke
One of our aircraft (4eng turboprop) tended to land hard on port mains. We never found out, why.😂😂
I set newborn babies on their heads hardee than this 😂
