No artist has played such an important role in my life over more than four decades as this man. He's honest, unpretentious and grounded. His music never fails to move me.
For about the first five minutes I was thinking "Wow, Peter has become pretty normal in his old age." Then the camera pulled out and revealed he's sitting in a nest in a tree. Ha!!! Love this guy.
I can't think of any other famous person who would take this seriously and still talk properly in the rain. Gold star to you, Peter. I love your music.
Yes- I really appreciate his sincerity and candor. He mentioned time-lapse film of plants... there is an awesome documentary called "the secret life of plants" from the 70s I believe but also found on youtube today, for which Stevie Wonder created the soundtrack.
What i feel all the times i hear Peter talking is that he could have been a friend of mine. He s the musician i love the most but at the same time i feel if he wasn t a musician and in some way i had the chance to meet him we would have naturally talk a lot together...
Wow. Everything Peter said. What a beautiful environment he is blessed to live in. Such a humble, thoughtful, creative person. Not only one of my all time favorite musicians with Genesis and solo, but my all time favorite celebrity. Because Peter makes being famous seem so natural. I wish I could meet him one day.
A true artist and compassionate man and a very special person who inspires me and makes me love music even more if that's at all possible haha since I'm a musician who made a living performing all over this globe I was blessed
I know I’m stuck way in the past .... but I still very fondly remember seeing you with Genesis at a small club in Cincinnati in 1973. Mesmerizing opening number of Watcher of the Skies. I’m 66 now and still vividly recall this performance. Thank you...

Lovely interview. He’s always so thoughtful, candid and honest when answering questions! It’s quite amazing to me how he can be able to share his feelings so openly with the world.
Dear Peter...I entered the World listening to your vocals (the 70's) as my Father always played Carpet Crawler's...and my hope would be to leave the World someday also hearing your vocals singing the same song ;) Peace, Kat
charming is the word, very down to earth - You have to love Peter Gabriel. Always loved his singing voice, raw and very unique - and here we're witnessing what a fine human being he is. I'm a fan of his music, mostly from Trespass to The Lamb, because it's the music of my generation. The answer for me is: righteous anger/indignation for what is wrong and unfair in the world today. More people should be angry.
What an awesome video. Laughing at his facial expression when the hail stones came on really bad. Well done for not abandoning it. I cannot believe so few people have seen it. I would like to tell Peter if he ever reads this that you are a revelation to me. I hugely respect and admire you. and you have the worlds best smile and eyes(after my son's) Good luck always t o you and yours
As a professional drummer and seeking artist myself, Peter has been an enormous and very positive influence on my life. It’s terrific seeing him in this very personal happy spot, clearly a power spot for him - yet maintaining that good old weird humor he’s had all along (forging ahead with the ‘interview’ through the storm… Continuing the interview unshaken, sitting in a nest…)
It's wonderful that you're humble, thoughtful and honest Peter. I see all the worldly things you've accomplished and am amazed that a person can go through such a lifetime of success, and yet be so down to earth. Please stay that way man - you're an inspiration! And ten times that on the musical scale too btw. We'll likely never meet, but I will always pray for your protection, contentment and joy. To me, happiness is like those ephemeral surface waters that ebb and flow, while joy is like the deep underground current that feeds and sustains the abundant life above via knowledge of the living One. Be at peace brother.
How do we leave the world a better place? We utilize our strengths and passion for the causes we support and somehow try our hardest to make a difference, even if it's in a small way. Thank you for such a candid expression! As usual, your Honesty is refreshing!! Peace. xx

Who created the universe ? I recommend reading the Silmarillion by Tolkien, I think you will quite like it. According to that story, the earth was created in a song, sung by the Valar (the gods). That's why we hear music everywhere on earth, in the water, in the wind ...
I don't know if it would work, but I'd try to do things as I think would benefit myself only if it also benefitted, or didn't do damage to the world at large, and hope that others follow suit.

And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning-the third day. 14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning-the fourth day. 20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning-the fifth day. 24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground-everything that has the breath of life in it-I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
