Abby!! My mum likes me watching your videos, she said it’s good that you have the opinions she holds in this modern day. Right now my mum is unwell so I’m relying on your content to guide me along the right path! So thank you sooo much for being my virtual mother! Love Onyx 🧡🧡🧡
I used the baby dirty diaper bags in lieu of a diaper genie at home and on the go and it worked great and was less wasteful than the diaper genie cartons and container. I also found it cheaper to use the puppy-dog bags than the one marketed for babies.
Unpopular opinion from a former Montessori aid: a blanket works just fine to set babies on. They don't feel like they're missing out on anything because they don't know any different. It's also good for their motor development to feel the ground underneath their back and legs.
Have you tried cloth diapers? My baby has super sensitive skin like most of my others (this one is #5) and he got terrible rashes while we used some disposables we were gifted when he was born. I switched to our trusty cotton prefolds earlier than planned and used La Petit Creme until his rash healed. I just love using a simple cotton diaper. There's something very *classic* about pinning a cotton diaper. I encourage you to give it a try!
Snap sleepers have their place 😅 my son is tube fed and was fed by a pump over an hour for a long time, so snap sleepers were the best option because he could be fed and his jammies could be closed so he didn't get cold. So to any moms who have a baby who might end up with a gtube, go with the snaps (: Also, I exclusively pumped for my son and I used reusable breast pads. You can see them through your shirt, which kinda stinks, but I felt like as an exclusive pumper they were a better option because to use my have free pumping bras i had to remove any breast pads so I would have been changing out reusable ones every time I pumped and I would have gone through them so fast. This is a great list Abby and I agree with pretty much everything! Just letting moms who may be in a similar circumstance that I am in (which is obviously a bit of a unique one) know that those two products may be really helpful for them!
Yeah, same on the pee pee teepee things for us. I thought they'd come in handy but i never laid them out anywhere so they were out of sight out of mind. Using a burp cloth or the diaper itself is just as effective. Its a cute idea but ultimately just another laundry item if someone did actually remember to use it.
Totally agree with the breast pads. When I would nurse I would sit there with the soaked pad and always felt weird putting it in my diaper bag! Also when I washed the pads they would loose their shape and just became wrinkled balls. I am expecting my second in December (around Hanukkah) and this video was a very nice refresher
hubby and I are talking about moving to Florida so would love to hear your thoughts on living there! Especially how summer heat/humidity compares to other states you've lived in!
I was wondering how much you'd use from your registry... I agree with most, though, I love the sleepers, snaps or zippers are fine for me... A little hack for the Graco swing: get a pack of cheap absorbent washcloths and cut a hole in the middle to fit the bottom center strap (between the legs) saves us daily from swing poopsplosions without needing to figure out how to remove, wash (pre wash, soak, deep clean, ask me how I know), and replace the whole swing cover! Useful for strollers and car seats and doesn't make the seat more slippy for babies.
Loved this! I have the Ergobaby 360 and use it alll the time; but I snap one snap before putting it on and I put it over my head. It is a lot but I only wanted one carrier that I can use into the tot years. The reusable pads do show on clingy clothing but I hated the feeling of the disposable ones wet so I just wear baggy clothing lol
Thank you for sharing your Loves and Love nots. Both of my daughter-in-law’s are having a baby in November and January 💜💜 I’m going to share your video with them :)
@@dustinsindledecker154 Hello 👋 I hope your toilet overflows tonight and you wake up being forced to clean up poop and pee that spilled all over your flooring and carpets. Happy Sunday ☀️
When I saw your video saying how much you wanted the Peepee covers, I wash 100% sure you would never use it 😂 having a baby boy, I cannot imagine anyone using them 😂
The look of pure joy on Abby's face every time she turns to look at her baby it's just the most precious thing ever🥰🥰🥰
She’s like, “I’m glad you didn’t die in my tummy like the last loser child my husband pumped into me!”

My twins are nine now (wow!) but I still remember feeling relief and triumph when you find something that works for you and your family!
I am also a new mom to a baby girl. Love seeing the same journey with your little boy!

The Momcozy sound machine is a much cheaper dupe of the Hatch sound machine, if anyone wants to save a bit of money!

@@kates6371 I vouch for this so long as you get the right flange size for your individual nipples.
