    Thankyou for posting this vid, I changed the wheel bearing on my superb today using this vid as a guide and it all went reasonably well. Can I suggest one thing for future vids, can you please post up a list of the tools needed, (i had to go through this vid taking notes of all the sockets/torx etc and having them listed would really have made it easier.)

    Nice video, very instructive. But where is the Torque Wrench?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  7 років тому +2

      You are absolutely right. All the main bolt connections must be tightened with a torque wrench. This video is considered to be an informative one, so it just shows the sequence of repairs. Best regards, Autodoc.

      I have an issue with my Skoda superb mk2 at the moment. I put 4 new tyres on the car and noticed right away that it was pulling left. Got the alignment done and it still pulls to the left. The garage said it might be to do with a bad tyre. So I bought another tyre but now I don't know which tyre is the bad one. Any advice?

      So the skoda bearing is easier to replace than an a5? Typical

    Do you need to do tracking after replacing the wheel bearing?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  2 місяці тому

      Yes, it is recommended to adjust the wheel alignment after this replacement.

    Why hasn’t the mechanic torqued the hub nut? That’s only hand tightened. How so ???

  • @jimkel1986
    @jimkel1986 Рік тому

    Do you know why some hub bearing carrier has 3 mounting bolts and some have 4? So there is no need to remove the ball joint for access?

      We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic.

      We cannot show all the nuances and problems during replacement since this is all individual and it is not always possible to solve them at home. To avoid this, we always recommend that replacements should be carried out by specialized car services.

    Does this go with this car ? Škoda Superb Kombi 2.0 TDI 4x4 DSG Sekventiell, 170hk, 2014

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  9 місяців тому

      In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing that may be slightly different is the design features of your car. More accurate information can be found in the technical documentation of the car or by contacting a service center

    Shouldn't you use a press to push the new bearing into place? Why have you used new spline bolts and not reused the old ones?

    • @andrew19682008
      @andrew19682008 3 роки тому

      Because they are single use.

    • @samcash123
      @samcash123 2 роки тому

      No because the bearings in this instance come pressed into there housing already, you are changing the housing with the bearing already fitted.

    Nice video m8. Do you know if the Mk2 seat Leon is the same and don't need a press as it is whole hub. Thanks m8.
