Sorry that you had a rough deal with the peace dollar. I agree, although they are gorgeous coins, sentiments seem to be very negative. My collection doesn’t include these precious premium coins. I’m not affected by this issue.

The statemant by the US Mint hits me hard. They think that they put it again into circulation while no non-coin/silver collector Americans can obtain the latest Morgan and Peace Dollars.
@@CADRollHunter clamshell case is a vast improvement. I purchased a few Morgans, and all are brilliant. I agree with folks about the price increase, but given I purchased only a few, I'm not going to fret a few extra $$. If I was buying in bulk, it would be a hit. Appreciate all your videos!
The US Peace Dollar was only introduced in 1921, and they did not mint any between 1929 and 1933. If you want to buy Peace Dollars, I'd recommend a reputable coin dealer in your area. Of course, you can try sellers on eBay, but you'll want to check out their feedback.
These just peeve me off. Not talking about the recent issues people are having, but their whole existence in general. They introduced them as a Centennial Celebration which I was fine with. Then they announced that they were changing the metal content to. 9999 pure silver instead of the old standard. Would not list them as Commemorative or bullion, but as coins. Not included in proof or mint sets of regular issue coins. Yeah, its all details, but it just felt wrong to me. Then of course, they are semi annual now. Not saying that they are not impressive looking coins. They will likely go as long as people are buying.
No, any coins at .999 are considered bullion and aren't subject to taxes/import duties. But the US Mint only labels them as "Coin" so the customs officials can't determine the purity and can only charge the duty.
I THINK THEY MADE A BIG MASTAKE BY KEEP MAKING THEM. THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE JUST THE 2021 PEACE AND MORGAN, AND THE REVERSE PROOF. I ALSO CANCELED MY PERSCRTION.

Nice coins but I refuse to pay the mints prices. It’s rediculous and I will not be a part of it. 2020 is the last time I purchased anything from them

For what the mint charges, the coins should be perfect. I absolutely refuse to pay that much, and you were extorted for more money. Ridiculous!
