      Have you tried 100 Percent Pure products it’s one of my favorite all natural makeup/ skincare brand. They have the most natural products you’ll find in Clean Beauty and their makeup is pigmented with fruits 🍉 to give them their beautiful color. They also have body care and hair care products 🫶🏼 I love that brand

    Can we just appreciate how real you’ve gotten with your followers. It’s rare in the beauty community because everyone is sold out on products that are way over hyped and don’t actually work. Love the simplicity as well! I literally just use a cleanser balm, cleanser and moisturizer 😅 probably too simple but I don’t break out like I use to with that routine. I don't know what men you're looking at. But the ones I see age like curdled milk!
    As a skincare professional, I will warn that coconut oil can be comedogenic, which means that it can clog pores. It is not recommended for the face! Keep in mind that just because something works for Amanda does not mean it will work for you. It's important to see a professional and get help with your specific concerns, as this is exactly why we do what we do.

    Love you Amanda but I have to disagree about coconut oil being hydrating to the the skin. It’s an anti humectant and very comedogenic especially for oily or acne prone skin. I’ve used coconut oil in the past and I stopped because my skin had become very dry.

  • @southernbella8503

    Warning: coconut oil is highly pore-clogging. It does do a fantastic job of removing makeup but it is very hard to remove it all and it causes acne very easily. Nothing against you, Amanda, but I just thought people should know.

      Coconut is a very heavy, nourishing, and antibacterial oil. It’s best for body/hair, but a little to heavy for the skin (which is why it clogs pores). I agree with the commenter above, Jojoba or Argan oil are better options for the face

    I’ve been on my non toxic lifestyle for a year and a half now and it’s wild what companies put into their products! The sad part is most of our society has no idea/don’t care. Biggest thing I’ve learned is that the gut/ our diet is very very important! No amount of acne wash is going to take away pimples from a unbalanced gut. I learned this first hand, my adult acne which I thought was hormonal was a diary intolerance..

    I think anti-aging is a scam, but preventative aging is a better term to use. Things like the sun and environmental pollutants depending on where you live (especially in big cities) can age you a little bit faster. Using things like sunscreen and antioxidants/vitamin C to help UV damage and fight free radicals slows down that process.

    • @AmandaEnsing
      @AmandaEnsing  2 роки тому +7

      Thank you for the kind words! I did respond to a few comments on it. My personal opinion is that diet is the best sunscreen & most mainstream sunscreens have cancer causing agents (several popular ones have been recalled the last 2 years). Since the creation of SPF, skin cancer has risen. Go down the trail of researching & comparing data and learning about ingredients in sunscreens. Jojoba oil & coconut oil are 2 natural alternatives that help block rays. The sun does have many healing properties 😊 I spend a lot of time in the sun and pay attention to how much I get. I haven’t gotten burnt since eating more natural, organic foods & using oils.

    Thank you for this 🙏 when I was younger, neutrogenia was my “go-to”, but it was designed to have quick results, but your skin REVOLTS as soon as you stop your regimen. Same goes for “anti aging” in modern skincare. I think there’s a placebo effect and also a false promise that if you start the anti-aging younger, the results will pay off later. What your skin really needs and wants is nourishment. Your skin on your face is pretty sensitive for most people, so we need less ingredients and simplification. Love this video- thank you for this because the rest of my feed is full of lies, product selling, and influencers trying to sell me $200 creams for NO REASON.

      I just answered another comment on this so I'm going to paste my thoughts below :)
      I feel like this is a conversation the beauty industry isn't ready for but...diet is the best sunscreen (will talk about this eventually)! Since sunscreen was created, skin cancer has gone up and many have carcinogenic ingredients (you can see many mainstream sunscreens recalled the last 2 years). Coconut oil & jojoba oil are great natural options. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, which blocks UVB rays. Jojoba oil's fatty acids block UV. Since I stopped chemical sunscreens, I haven't gotten burnt and monitor my skin exposure, but the sun has many healing benefits too :)

    I love using coconut oil to take my makeup off but the only problem is that when it breaks up the eyeliner and mascara it gets into my eyes, irritates them and make them red. But I do still use it! Neutrogena just re-formulated their makeup wipe removers. I don't know how toxic they are but they seem better than the prior formula. They removed a lot of ingredients.

I’ve always wanted to dive into just pure natural skin care but never did and you have helped me extremely. I will be doing this natural skin care forever this point on after I buy the products. I need to eat more natural too so I get the full affect. But with that being said is there an all natural mixture you have to exfoliate your face? Or is exfoliating your face even good for your skin? I have the rodan and fields scrub and my face feels fantastic after exfoliating with it but it does nothing for my skin. Should I exfoliate my face and if so what is a pure natural mixture to do so? Also is there a sunscreen for my face that you recommend? I’m not sure what kind of skin I have I think combination because some spots will be dry ,especially my lips I can’t keep them smooth, but when I wear makeup the oil shines through within an hour.

    Ok so please please answer- is alcohol bad for your skin? I can’t seem to find good cleanser that works for my skin that doesn’t have alcohol, but everything says to use alcohol is one of the big no-no ingredients. The cleanser you showed has alcohol, is it only ok for certain products such as a cleanser or should you avoid it altogether?

    As an esthetician a good fact for oily babes is there is a difference between your skin being dry or dehydrated. Just because you’re oily does not mean your skin isn’t dehydrated & that is why it’s still important to hydrate when you’re oil or your skin will try to over compensate with oil ☺️

    But coconut oil is comedogenic and clogs pores especially if you have oily skin and can cause or make acne worse, it definitely did that to me at least when I used it and it was the same one you are using made me breakout super bad even if I rinsed it off right away with my Cerave cleanser. I really need a good makeup remover alternative that’s non toxic if anyone knows PLEASE HELP 😭 any natural non toxic makeup removing wipes?

    Do you have any non-toxic sunscreen recommendations for face/body?

    • @AmandaEnsing
      @AmandaEnsing  2 роки тому +6

    • @rinatask

      @@AmandaEnsing Finally 🙌🏻 I’m so tired of saying it to my friends. SPF creams is a marketing trick. Sun is gorgeous, it heals me and makes me happy 🌻

    • @jennifercramp1257
      @jennifercramp1257 2 роки тому +1

      @@AmandaEnsing Oh wow that make sense! And I never would’ve thought to use coconut/jojoba oils; I definitely need to try that. I have heard people say that chemical sunscreens actually made them burn so that’s probably why I always burn when I use them 😱 However, I’ve also burnt when not using any sunscreen or other protection when at the beach or pool. So would coconut/jojoba oil be enough protection for the beach/pool or should I add a mineral based sunscreen? That’s what I’m worried about. But no, I’ve never been one to be scared of the sun. I don’t ever wear sunscreen just to go outside or exercise outdoors; just for sun bathing at the pool or beach. I know it has so many healing benefits and that we were not meant to be afraid of it. I will never understand the people who can’t leave the house without putting sunscreen on.

      @@jennifercramp1257 It's true some oils do block out rays but using coconut oil isn't good for day to day. Try raspberry seed oil. It's on Amazon just don't search. Raspberry seed oil comes out to be like an spf 10 or something. Don't quote me.
