After a long wait, Royal Enfield has finally launched alloy wheels for the 650 twins. Here is a video where I showcase the upgrade I made with alloy wheels and tubeless tires for my 2018 Interceptor 650.
Woahh thanks for the review, i have been waiting for this review since long time no one has posted ride review with alloy wheels, And have u notice any Mileage drop ?
Bro please any this one query Am about to purchase interceptor 650 Spoke wheel version costs 3.45lkh and alloys cost 3.68lkh Should i purchase spokes version and upgrade later to rear 17 and front 18 inch Or buy the alloy version coz 18 inch dont have lot of tyre options
Did you notice any improvement in stability and handling? Thinking about upgrading into alloys bcs for some reason my rear tyre keeps puncturing and may be even causing instability and not let me ride confidently!
Yes there is difference, it's may resulting the type changes, previous using ceat stock one, but definitely stability and handling improved with this setup 👍
What did you do with the original spoke wheels? Did you exchange it or sold it? I am also looking for an unprade but not sure of what to do with the original wheels.
Hey man ... i wanna get those TEC levers for my gt650... they good ? Any problem with them ever ? I see you are still using them , so ovi they are yood but just to confirm 😂
Have you faced wobble issue with your spoke wheels…? If yes then compare it with alloy one. If not then fine. How is the alloy in terms of wobble. Are you facing any such issues and how is the overall stability…?
No, I didn't experience any wobbling issues. Compared to spoke wheels, there's a better sense of grip it's may effect of tire change as well, and, most importantly, it provides a more reassuring riding experience. If a puncture occurs, we can easily fix it and continue our journey with peace of mind.
@@FolksOnWheels I have spoke wheels and done 12k kms on stock Ceat tyres spokes.. Already Had a puncture..Handle bar wobbling Started n very bad above 60.. Hope changing to alloys & tubeless tyres will solve this
For interceptor best option moving to alloys, Tubeless spoke wheels is one good option, RE introduced newly for himalayan, don't go with tubeless conversion kit it's waste of money.
Not sure if it's better than alloy wheels, but I got mine converted with way2tubless in 2022 December and after that I did Northeast and Ladakh Trip with roughly 30,000km . And I am yet to see any issue with it.
Bro should we change tyre for new model GT 650 chrome with spokes and I had got vredstein tyres should I Change the tyre ?? And can u tell me Rear alloy size ?? Waiting for ur reply
I am buying a used Interceptor. I am planning to use Meteor 350 alloy wheels. One doubt Meteor Front is 19inch, and rear is 17inch. RE Interceptor 650 both are 18 in. I see that you only changed rear. Did you also consider changing front to 19? It will change the rake angle a bit. Any thoughts on this?
Bro first u check why u getting wobbling issue, i didn't face such issues even using spoke wheels. So i m not sure about that ur wobbling issue ll get resolved if change to alloys 😊
Sir I'm buying int 650 cali green it comes with spoke wheel . Re showroom said that alloy doesnt come and is discontinued. ? What should i ask the showroom guy specific alloy and tyre details please tell sir please help i dont have much knowledge of bikes
Brother only specific varient they giving alloy default, but other varient you can modifiy it, RE has only one type alloys for 650 twin that you can buy as accessories, tyre size coming both alloys and spoke same.
Hi, can you please tell me from where did you buy the alloys in bangalore? i need to install one but royal enfield guys tell me that they cant order!!!
Drawback??? Just last weekend, i topped a small hill in the road, to find a piece of a 4x4 board dead center in my lane. Having no time to dodge it, i centered it at 60ish MPH. The only reason I was able to ride my bike home, is because although the edge of the rim was dented and away from the tire, the air couldn't escape because of the tube.

Just ordered the alloys from RE. Really loved your video. Can you share me the details of your riding gloves and brake and clutch levers of the bike?
Thanks bro 😊 riding clothes alpine stars and the levers it's adjustable one I imported from UK
How much did it costed to you? With alloys and tubeless tyres

Is urs tubeless tire? then no need, otherwise you need to change it
Ok ok

Can i change only rear to alloy and keep spoke on the front? Will it affect performance in any way by doing so?
what is actually u looking for replacing to alloys wheels? Just for attention seeking? Then u can 😊
Bro what do u think like which is better spoke tubeless conversion or moving to alloy wheels ?

Superb
😍
What is the weight difference between the two?
Sorry didn't check that
Hi, Are those 18 inches? Mine is having Pirelli Tyres I guess those are tubeless tyres. Will it be a direct fit. I am looking for only rear for now.
Yes the Pirelli is tubeless tyre, but RE giving with tube, but latest is not Pirelli, if ur tyre condition is good, u can use it
@@FolksOnWheels Oh okk. Thanks a lot for your reply!
Bro should we change tyre for new model GT 650 chrome with spokes and I had got vredstein tyres should I Change the tyre ?? And can u tell me Rear alloy size ?? Waiting for ur reply
We can increase rare tyre size ? To 180
Sorry bro not sure about that 180 fit with this alloy, better please check with some tyre mechanic
What about wobble issue??
Can't we use the same ceat Tyres which comes with the spokewheels while upgrading to alloy wheels??
no u can't, that's not tubeless one ☺
even I thought same, can use same type, so I ordered only alloy first, then came to know, stock not suitable for alloy and ordered tubeless tyre

Not recommended meteor alloys to twin😊
@@FolksOnWheelsok. May I know the reason, is it the quality or the difference in alloy sizes?

Hi, where did you get the tyres at that price? I'm not able to find them anywhere for less than 13k for both! I'm in Bangalore.

Ive the same alloy set but my rear tyre is getting jammed... Are u facing any issue related to the alloys???
No bro, it's definitely not alloys related, check with some good mechanic
At 2:18 the stock alloy has wheel balancing weight which is missing in your tyre. Is that okay?
Missing in tyre? Sorry not clear
