The mods are truly amazing and will love to do on mine as well. But first I need to get the machine and a dream which is yet to be fulfilled. By the way, observed that the disc brakes at front also been changed. Isn’t it ?
The video needs "Before-After" comparisons of: 1) weight of OEM spoke wheels/tires vs. alloy wheels/tires 2) weight of OEM exhaust vs. Trident exhaust 3) sound of OEM exhaust vs. Trident exhaust 4) *full profile* view of sitting position with OEM handlebar/pegs vs. set-back pegs and Renthall bars.
Would love to see an interview with joshua about the 17" alloy wheel conversion. That and the suspension are motorcycle changing mods, elevating a great budget bike into a great bike.
I always believed that at least the ContiGT should've come with 17" wheels from the factory given its racer ideology, love to see how it played out in these mods🔥❤️

Good detail. The videography is good. I saw someone has commented about the lens being soiled. In fact, I liked it because somehow those spots on the lens further adds to the rustic appeal and retains the old school theme this bike is. I think you missed (or decided not to) mentioning about the brake rotors. All mods look good except I don't get the point of resizing the tyres. Or unless maybe I am missing something. With the stock being 100/90-R18 at the front.. the new size give you a front overall rolling differential (O.R.D.) of -51mm and with the rear stock being 130/70-R18 the rear O.R.D. sits at -27mm. This means, there is a massive speedo under-read and is way beyond acceptable O.R.D. tolerance differential of +/-9mm. Regardless you are not concerned about odometer calculations in the long run. I understand the reasons for pulling in the new size: 1. Tyre options, 2. Comfort, 3. Maneuverability etc, And with that being installed along with upgraded rotors, it is meant to offer better braking performance - that’s pretty obvious.
Thanks Diganta. Change is tyre size was to go down to 17 from 18 to improve the agility or turn-in response of the motorcycle - apart from the fact that 17 give more tyre options. As for speedo reading, the smaller over rolling circumference makes the speedo over read now, not under read. And no, I am concerned about a few extra kilometres in the odo as a result.
Vikrant ji u sound like john Abraham.. listening you is a treat to ears... Salute to camera man.. what a work excellent... liked the shaky effect too..
Love that bike build, very similar to what I wanted after riding mine but cost wise dissuaded me forcing a very early sale... The argument for "it's better to buy performance than build it" (unless of course you have very deep pockets) is what I'll be gravitating to from now on. But, many have fallen and will fall in love with it's classic roots and you can't blame them .
The only problem being sourcing out all the parts and finding the guy who can actually do the perfect job. I wish RE showrooms could give all the possible customization options as per the likings of the masses.
Love the name Deadpool. Absolutely agree with all the changes made. Would love to see a Powertronic ECU and mods moving the foot controls as well as the pillion footpeg forward
Absolutely well presented with clear diction and pronunciation. Very mature mods for a mature motorcycle. I would definitely go for these mods when I get this machine.
Just perfect.. I always thought of these issues and took step back from buying one. The foot peg issue was the biggest one. Spoke wheels the second. One more I would like to add on to these mods, is the Stinger 2 in 1 exhaust made in the UK. Never liked the stock exhaust look.

What an excellent video! This bike is so beautiful and the modifications you made are absolutely make sense. What do you think about the big-bore kit (865 cc)? Many greetings from Germany!
Hello Mr. Vikrant, Initially I thought it is a mere cosmetic mods but oh boy modifying suspension and wheels from spoke to alloys and tube tyre to tubeless was really brilliant and must have taken lot of thinking, work and pain. I have seen videos where aftermarket alloys have broken causing accident so in that regard what precaution you have taken? Modifying foot pegs was also equally important as this has been sore point reporter by many owners and test reviewers. Last but not least very interesting work, may be if RE can take clues, be professional and implement in the production?
Thanks Vikram. As for the alloys... one has to be careful. One can’t go braking hard into a ditch repeatedly and ask that the alloys stay intact. Having said that, it would take extreme circumstances for the alloy to crack. So if one is mindful about the type of wheels one is running, it should be okay.

I think also the foot shift leavers ide like cast or billet alloy styled ones. Some things i won't bother with till they mal function, Wear or break. This bike does well over the 140kph which is loss of licence so i don't nees to do that now i know what its got. It picks up good and has great highway passing power to get around trucks quickly. Thats all i want. It pulls up well and has the slipper clutch so no mods required there. IKON is about $800 AUD front and back just do the work yourself. Thats a out half the price of YYS, I believe this was emotional spending on your part as its way overkill for this bikes capabilities as is Ikon but at least its half the doe.
