.. Nice one, Gavin,.. Another route to check-out !.. I did a few you'd video'd last Saturday on my first outing on my new KX450 ,. All excellent fun,..
Ride lane is excellent. The start of ot is really sandy, so watch out, then it narrows down, and you kind of have to decide whether to ride in the rut, or on the edge. Watch out for horses along it. Pond lane is lovely. I sometimes run along there too. Enjoy it now while its dry!
I'd like to share one small trick i learnt about youtube video quality is, if you upload it in 4k or 1080p+120fps, somehow it will take youtube a lot longer (usually 1 day) to process the "hd" version, when it is done, the video bit rate will be higher than usual (even when watching in 1080p). That will greatly improve the situation at 6:47 when the graphic changes quickly.
I’ve spent hours watching his stuff, definitely he was the inspiration for me to get into this side of motorbike riding. And he did it 10 years ago! No go pros or 256gb SD cards. Would have loved to have met him. Everyone should go and watch his stuff. I’m standing on the shoulders of giants. I’ll mention it in a future episode. Thanks Graham!
Gavin, this is great, really enjoyed this. I’m a beginner and when going out with more experienced riders, who have been awesome I must add, but have freighted the life out of me, I’m in an area where we don’t seem to have lanes like these, however, I will continue my search to build up m6 confidence, just about to get some trackers and tublis on my CRF250 Rally so going in the right direction. Have you come across the “Lightweight Adventures” yet, I’m sure you have but just in case.move subd so looking forward to more. Brilliant work 🙏 thanks 😊
Paulo, that is exactly why I did them. I always found going out with 'serious' riders to be a bit daunting. I rode with a couple of young folks I met but TBH I always felt I was slowing them down. You should try the TRF, they do guided group rides. I joined the TRF, then happily left. Long story! Anyway, enjoy the videos and your CRF 250 Rally. They are great bikes.
I was fascinated by them when I was a kid, now I go past them everyday and I don't even notice them. There are loads in between where I live and where you are (over Crawley way I think?)

Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Great effort Gavin, I'm sure Sven would approve!

I rode up Ride Lane in October - it was the hardest lane I have done so far....
Can be tricky. Pick a rut.
Slow and steady I see...
If you are looking for speed and agility, that’s not me!
