Those solder connectors are slick. Just finished a trailer re-wire soldered the conventional way. Made for a loving day. Thanks for the tips, and keep the music!
Guys, a little trick when using those heat solder connectors that I find helpful is to dab a little flux on the wires before heating and melting them( just plain old Lowes flux for copper plumbing: not acid core).
You produce some of the best videos on welding and fabrication. I don't like music on any UA-cam videos. But, I'll watch continue to watch one way or the other.
I have got to where I like that one song you use often. I heard it on another channel and was like dang they stole NBS theme music lol. Honestly tho don’t bother me one way or the other. When I saw that tractor was thinking didn’t he have a video of working on one of these before?? Then boom you got them plates out. Sweeeeet. You the man.
I enjoy your videos very much lots of knowledge AS far as the music I enjoy anyone’s videos without music more That’s my 2 cents thoughts Keep up the awesome work content 😎👍
That’s a nice little idea for checking lights I always just use a lawnmower battery but that’s extra screwing around cause I never have a extra one laying around that’s handy as hell 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks CB! I appreciate the content of your instructional videos, which includes the music that you play as a filler. Your videos are not boring, each video is packed with an educational value and with an entertainment component. Keep it up brother!👍
Too many good tricks in this one to name individually. I already knew and use some and some, I never thought of before. All very useful and learned through a lifetime of experience. Thanks!
You've got a lot of knowledge and tips and I really appreciate the close ups. I don't care either way about the music but you do have a great personality for videos. Keep 'em coming!
I put a set of jack stands at the back corners of the trailer. That keeps it from trying to lift the back of the truck if you don't have a four wheel drive.
Hey CB, nice repair on the Ventrac and trailer. Little tip on the trailer lights. Most new trucks (I don't know about Dodge Ram) but Chevy and Ford have separate fuses for trailer lights and there's also a fuse for left and right side. So the light might work on the truck but not the trailer. The wire you repaired could have blown the fuse/fuses in the truck. Another thing, I've come across. Some body installers ( Like on your Super Service Truck, will hook the tail/brake lights up to the truck body using the trailer light harness on the frame plug. So light might not work on the truck but the bulb and fuse are good. Check trailer fuses. This especially happens when the truck body companies remove the bed from a pickup and replace it with a utility body. They unplug the tail lights leaving the plug with the bed then use the trailer light pig tail to wire in the body lights. Hope this helps.
CB, look, I thoroughly enjoy your videos plus I enjoy watching you do some of the work that I do. The music doesn’t bother me, because you’ve already said you can’t do the arc shots while videoing. So, music, or no music you always get a thumbs up from me before I even watch the video. Keep up the honest hard work.
Hey CB! You can get a 120 volt to 12 volt converter that would be perfect for powering trailer lights. I got mine in my locker and set up on a 25 foot pull reel with alligator clips.
@@NBSWELDING if what you got’s working keep using it. I’m just putting it out there. I thought that battery rig was 20 V? But if you decide to get one there cheap. Pyramid 30 amp inverter. 13.8 v I use mine to bench test different circuits, solenoid relays etc.
Be yourself - I don’t watch your videos, for the music, my self I often listen to Joe bonamassa let the good times roll, I’ll play the blues for you type songs ,,,, and I like the no more bullshit !!!!,thanks for being there.Harold
I normally really like the music but honestly it didn't feel any worse or better without it, I think you do a really good job of making the video work with the sound that's in it.
love Music My favorite is the sound of a V8 at ungodly RPMs lol 😂 😂 Ventrac r such a cool pieace of equipment. Its been a while since ive commented no paticular reason man ur so deserving of 25k 50k 100k subs man thanks fer sharing ur wealth of info
27:18 Just before you put the black shrink tube on there I was gonna say I'd like a 2nd layer of protection over those solder-fill butt-connectors. They do seem to do a real good job of sealing up the wire & the connection, super important especially where salt\snow\water is potentially involved. I like your plug\battery setup too, makes doing trailer repairs really easy too!⚡🔌👍🏻👌🏻😄 As far as music is concerned, I've stated my feelings before on a few occasions. I prefer videos without it, BUT if it was added to the video at a low volume, I wouldn't mind it as much. I understand your effort in making & producing these videos and if you're not sure how or if you can do more with the volume editing on your phone so I just deal with it. I like you & your videos so I'm not gonna stop watching just cause of the music volume, it would take a lot more to get rid of me!😆 I completely understand that you are not doing high-end production video work with high end DSLR cameras or even multiple GoPro's cameras then using editing software on your computer which would alow you to do many things you can't do with just using the smart phone. Doing all that stuff would involve more money and even more time editing videos then you do now. Just do what you do CB, you can't make everone happy all the time and thats just life man! Until you start making videos on a computer with SD cards & editing software I don't think you can do the level of video editing with more volume control and stuff like that, I could be wrong about that too though, someone correct me if I'm wrong! I'm not a super computer IT guy, not even close. I fix things with tools! 👍🏻👌🏻🛠️😆 ✊🏻🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸✊🏻
Thanks for the feedback...last few videos I've done with music I set the music volume at half and since then I haven't had complaints about the music being loud...based on the comments I'm getting back so far it's about 50%/50% on who likes music and who doesn't. Thanks for watching and commenting
@JALA578 gotcha...and chocks would work if you chocked both the truck and trailer...I'd only go to that trouble if the truck was 2wd though...to me it would be quicker to just put my truck in 4LOW than to set wheel chocks
CB I really like to comment on the music thing. One of the biggest negatives that I find, is when the music starts it’s so much louder than the actual talking part of the video. I have my laptop set up on a big screen TV with a huge Bluetooth speaker, so when that music comes on, it’s so loud. I have to turn the volume down sometimes it seems so loud that I think it’s gonna blow the damn speaker. I realized it all I have to do is turn the volume down, which is fine but the selection of music in most videos is terrible. Reminds me of Russian techno something music. I can’t stand it. I’m 60 years old. I run a one-man job shop mostly welding and machine work , I know what it’s like to do your job, but I don’t know what it’s like to do your job and try to video it. I have never done that. I applaud any of you guys that take the time to video your work, it has gotta be frustrating sometimes when you’re trying to get a job done and you’re having to deal with that camera .
I've had the complaint several times in the past that the music was louder but it doesn't play that way on any of the 5 devices that I watch on so I can't tell. Would you please check the last video and get back to me on how the volume is in it?...I'm referring to the video with music where I repaired my Buddy Jamie's trailer....on that video I adjusted the music volume to half way...can you tell me if that helped?...should I set the volume even lower? So far there are more people commenting that they like the music...and it's worth considering that if I put in music and someone doesn't want to hear it they can mute it but if I don't add the music those who enjoy it aren't gonna be as happy. So if there is anything I can do to make the volume even between the commentary & music that would be great....get back to me on that other video if ya can...thanks

I enjoy some of the music you play. The fill and flow of you time lapse works well with music. 15 seconds of intro and “outro” music is ok.

@timothyhartley7986 so with that 120 volt you gotta plug it in?...is that better than my battery rig?

Truly a Jack of all trades. I never would have thought about putting my truck In 4x4 for a specific heavy load like that.👍
You don't tow... Which is a good thing.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for bringing us along

Always look forward to the next video so I can learn something from you.

I remember your ventrac vid from last year
