- In our first episode of coverage of the 2021 Platinum Racing Products GT-R Challenge, we give an overview of the category winners before we go into detail of the Pro Street GT-Rs then see how they went trying to put 2000+hp down on the asphalt runway. 7.9 @ 197 miles per hour on an asphalt runway with no prep is simply mind boggling!

The passes are always so sketchy and rowdy, 8 second consistent passes on a old runway they're just creeping closer and closer towards the 7's with each event mind boggling.
That's was a great watch, really enjoyed it and an amazing finish. Just a clarification on the speed conversion shown on the screen at 39:44 didn't seem to make sense in terms of what the cars actually ran or in terms of converting mph to kph.

Zero prep. Yes the cars put a little rubber down, but they provably wreck it more than make it better sometimes.

I would really love to know what it would cost to get a car to a certain level. For example, if a customer turned up to one of the workshops and asked for a 10.x second car, 9.x, 8.x, and so on. They're all monsters, but it costs money to play.
I wish the results and records weren't mentioned at the start, would be more exciting viewing.

Pairing of the 32s wiper design and placement and the ridiculous road speed. Blow air at something fast enough and it's guaranteed to move... Thought that was obvious

King R32 is the best GTR ever
The R35s can hit 7s easily, we got Ekanoo's Nismo GTR here in Guyana 🇬🇾 hitting 7.8 on slightly worse surface than Coota, and with slight prep it ran 7.5 and another 2000hp R35 did 7.5 as well. I really want to see those RB cars get a great pass and hit those numbers at Coota, I'm an RB guy for life.
These are 6 sec cars on a prepped surface
@@tholmesy26 The Ekanoo car never ran a 6 but it's possible, the other car is a street car with some weight still in it, about 2000hp, but it's set up really good, launches harder than the Ekanoo car and goes straight, it ran a 8.2 on an unprepped surface.
Tell them guys to bring the cars over next year. These GTR's run 6.7s on a prepped track and are only going quicker. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get to mid 6s 6.3 6.4 or 6.5s in the future which is incredibly quick for full weight GTR's that you can change the fuel and tune and go get the kids a Happy meal from maccas. I can't see anyone in the world coming close to us Aussies with these rb animals.

Well technically the start is prepped and the more rubber that gets layed down on the start the better the ET'S will be depending on track temps.
The start isn't prepped. There's no prep chemicals being added to the surface and what you do expect them to do with the rubber from all the burnouts? Scrape it off? No track does that on any no prep races
the start line is no where near prepped. I think the fastest any rwd front engine car has gone is a very low 2. These skylines are doing 1.0 sixty foots now at the track and they are only getting 1.6-1.7 on this surface.
