I have a Craftsman with Honda engine and use Trufuel exclusively since new. Starts every time with 1 - 2 pulls. It is the quietest push mower I've ever owned. 5 years old and love it. Don't know what I'll do when it's time to retire it and gas engines no longer available. Damn everything going battery powered these days. I have Ezgo string trimmer and blower and I swear they run out of battery 2 minutes before I'm done.
Honda and dealer said to use a several caps of Seafoam per gallon of fuel (non-ethanol). I do also add some sta-Bil each time. Took care of sticking valves on mower ever since added the two fuel additives.
@@appleztooranges One other thing they said to do was when your done mowing. Turn off the fuel line and then run the engine till it stops after each mowing, this removes fuel from bowl and to gum up the works from fuel evaporating. We had sticking valves first time we purchased it and reoccurred start of next season. Since we started following their suggestions never had the problem again. Not sure where you are located, but oil could be cold from winter storage and could make the pull harder. Good luck!
I always use non-ethanol in my yard equipment and never had any carb issues since the ethanol aspect causes the carbs to get gummed up after sitting in the winter months.
@@randomrebuilds hmm I’ll see how it goes later this summer. Been temperamental with starting since I bought it brand new. Let’s hope non ethanol does help but I’m second guessing it
Any new engine should have the oil changed after 4-5 hours of operation. The break-in oil has more metal fragments that need to be removed immediately. After that initial oil change, regular oil changes are good to go. 😊
I was too lazy this year with my new Honda 1332 snowblower. I did change it within the first month (oil). This year used it once and just put it back into hibernation. Going to wait til maybe fall or next year to do next oil change on it
That style of engine is part of a recall regarding defective camshafts. I would check your serial number to see if its affected or if it's already been fixed.

It still doesn’t start first pull?

Awesome! Thought it would start better but didn’t. Last year it took these many pulls too.
@@appleztooranges guess that’s normal from sitting over winter. Regular gas usage would have resulted in a no-start most likely.

Did you only have one big snow storm? It was a very bad year where I live.
That’s it. Very disappointing

1st start of the year always takes several pulls ,,tomorrow it will start on 1 or 2
I thought that too last year. Did the same thing. Everytime 3-4 pulls. Honda doesn’t start first pull anymore with these newer mowers
I use truefuel. Gets better fuel efficiency and never worry about winterizing. Just grease, and adjust.
Nice!
Can't wait to see your video's of mowing the lawn with that thing. Call it obsession.
