I'm amazed how accepting you are of foundation issues. I wouldn't touch a house with shifting foundation
I do like the remodel, just not the weird green in the bathroom. The green in the cabinets looks great. I spent nine years getting rid of dark green marble look tiles and brass fixtures in my old house. Finally had it perfect and then…we move 100 miles north to Bellevue TX. All in a I think it is a major improvement to a cute house. Congratulations. One question..why did you put a chrome RX in the tub in the master and not continue with the gold?
I love your approach to this one, making use of as many existing features as you can and focusing the budget on most-needed upgrades. Kudos for keeping the kitchen cabinets, tub, and existing green accent tile. All the color choices are A-1; my only caveat is that the dark green main bathroom tiles sit awkwardly beside the dark gray floors. Otherwise: love!
Yeah I wasn't as into that combo, but I loved the green so I'd have found an alternative to the gray.
i love that you guys left the front exterior be this time. it did have such nice curb appeal already. honestly i kind of love how the budget made you guys go minimal. the avocado vertical tiles with the square charcoal tiles weren’t really for me tho 😂
Nice basic remodel but dudes the number of UA-cam ads plus your sponsorships and other promos is getting really annoying
I scrolled forward
LoL you need a better broswer like firefox or brave that will block youtube ads
@@avanjob205or premium. I always go, what add? 😂
@@leelastoma5809 I do as well
Just fast forward
Looks great I like how you fixed problems
without having to replace everything.👏🏻👏🏻
This home is the floor plan of my childhood home
I love the tile in the master bath shower! So pretty 😍
Gorgeous home. I love all the new fixtures. And the dark green running throughout the house is amazing. Nice change from the millennium grey most flippers use. The green tiles in the primary bathroom is just gorgeous.
Such an amazing transformation, love the design and how cozy it looks!
Just my opinion if I'm buying a new home I would hate those colors of green because then you have to make all your decor around that I like white gray and black that way I could choose any style when it comes to design
But you wouldn’t be forced to keep it green, if you own it just paint it. I love those shades of green! I would keep them
I like the kitchen cabinets but do not like the master bathroom shower tile color. It looks like a baby food/baby vomit color IMO. Also wish they would have changed the faucet on the tub to match all the other fixtures in the house which are gold.
I’ve always enjoyed yalls episodes but the amount of self ads you put in this video just felt like over kill.
I know you had budget constraints but definitely should’ve changed the faucets on the tub in the main bathroom to match the sink and shower fixtures and all of the white grout on the black tiles is a no for me but overall it was a nice job working with what you had.
Love you guys but other than the fence and the stuff you didn't do Jack in the back yard. That's why you didn't show it more than a half a second
Y’all totally knocked it out of the park with those bathrooms! Impressive.
I'm shocked that driveway was not replaced
Budget killer. It was cracked, but level for the most part
Yes that house is a hot mess.
@@leelastoma5809 Let's see yours or any house you have flipped
I love this reno. The house was nice to begin with except for the foundation issues. But I feel like it was not over designed ad some tend to do with larger spaces where you can afford the square footage to do built ins or murals or other fancy wall papers. The green and beige combo is a classic favorite of mine and the bathroom tile is a nice shade that had that olive undertone that hits a bit different.
Love the renovation. Why didn't you change the tub fixtures in the primary suite?
First thing I noticed, I know the budget was tight but I think they could’ve spared $50 for a matching faucet 😅
@@ProudNana78 I feel seen!
@@ProudNana78The fixtures for the tub are expensive. They are not $50 dollars. More like $200-$600 not including the plumber costs
When are you going to expand renovating out into the Hill Country? I would LOVE to have your help with my 1940s era home.
They don't live near San Antonio.
Tile in primary bathroom is gross. doesn't match anything in the house . What happened to consistency?
The kitchen cabinet doors still look quite dated, the pullers and the fireplace ooffff.....other than that, imo, the tiles used throughout the bathrooms and blackslpash are awesome and the rest turned out great!
front room would make a nice home office
The "after" turned out so well. I like it that each house AF does is not a copy of every other. The green tiles in the master bath are beautiful. Though the green tiles in the hall bath were an issue, keeping and reglazing, adds interest as it isn't just three walls of white tiles all lined up. Well done!
Les go new episode 🔥🔥🔥
Great job on the flip.
Why didn’t you change out the faucets in the primary bath tub from silver to gold?
But there is no pantry cupboard. Where do you store food?
Seriously? You did all the great things and then LEFT the faux chrome fixture on the master tub? Rut ro
Yep. Looked oddly out of place with all else being in brass.
so. many. ads.
So many places through this remodel where the lack of taste by the “designers” and budget restrictions definitely shows through.
We had that same linoleum when I was in middle school.
I think you should have went with the hunter green tile in the bathroom, cohesive design…. I do like the way you did the tile, just not the color. Actually went better with the original 90’s house. All in all, good job.😊
Exactly what I was thinking. Hunter green instead of olive green would be more to my liking.
The floors look great! Can we have specific details on brand, color and where to buy? Also, great protip on the bathroom shower paint glaze!
Love the videos from Croatia 🇭🇷 keep up the good work! 🤩
Don't love the "overcooked spinach" shower tile. The 3D rendering color works better for me. LOVE the "racing green" of the cabinetry though. Thumbs up!
Nice work. I wonder where people keep their pantry items though. Very rarely is the a pantry cupboard unless a separate room is in the plan
The foundation work you did was impressive, but counters aside, I wish you were more timeless in your tile choices in the bathroom. For the mantle, I like that the tile matches the cupboards, but I wish it was groutless.
For the bathroom, the dark green choice was a mistake. I would have preferred a white subway tile and white grout for the walls (which establishes a continuity with the kitchen backsplash) and very subtle kolkata marble or white terrazzo on the floors, even if it's simulated in groutless porcelain. The idea is to give off a spa-like, quiet and timeless luxury vibe. What there reminds me of a Home Depot showroom in the 90s.
To me, dining table would make way more sense in front of the fireplace. In the actual position, it is so far from the kitchen! I would use the living room for a nice couch
Lost opportunity on the primary suite - should have gotten a door to the outside. That would've boosted the whole room to yet another level. Again, not one handheld showerhead in the bathrooms. Olyl the fixed, wall-mounted ones. Get at least one handheld in there. So much more convenient for bathing kids (or all else you'd need to bathe/shower).
Y’all should do business in Houston Texas.
Looks good but I think a slab for the fireplace would have looked better and white tile for the primary bathroom. The kitchen looks great.
My house is 2005 but that is my bathroom.(first one) I have plans but one thing at a time. Might follow your lead.

VERY DEMURE!! VERY CUTESY!!
Yes gray has been out for along time so why did you mix in the gray tile on the floor 😭
Do you ever resurface the driveway? The one for this house is cracked.
spend $120K to make $22K how long did this reno take?
Can someone dumb the number down for me? I don't understand the 22 thousand dollar profit, it doesn't add up in my head
I wonder if they paid $9k as a fee to Austin Flipsters over and above the reno costs which would then reduce the profits ??
Hard to make it through the whole video with all the ads
I read the title wrong, I thought it said “under 8k flip” I was impressed… but it’s 80k 😂
What specifically was the product for the flooring though? Thanks! Love the green cabs,
I think all the products they use on each house is on their website.
The front door splatter and garage door paint looks messed up
what program do you use to simulate the reno?
Why don't you ever fix the cracks in the driveway?
cant see the videos
Govt builds $300k houses. Buyers agree to limited price increases if they resell. Like lifelong “rent” control. House across street is $400k or $500k. Too bad. It’s price controlled forever. Low income folks can afford it.
As much as I love color in a home (if you saw my home you would see what I mean) I really did not like the green tiles in the big bathroom. Just my opinion that's all.
Should have gotten rid of fireplace . It makes the room look small .
Based on your numbers…it doesn’t look like they actually made any profit if the debt was really 300k.
Something is not adding up
Kinda wondering why y’all kept the old cabinets. I would of at least refaced them
Darealmicah, They had to keep the cost down on this flip to keep it in line with comps.
@@lynnharrell9598 re face means new door by yeah
They explained why in video
@@darealmicah7525 , I know what refaced means. But refacing them would be added cost, plus they would still have to be painted. That would be an unnecessary expense with no financial gain.
@@lynnharrell9598 nah to be honest if they say new doors on the cabinets someone would pay a premium for the home not to mention it costs like 3-5k max. I’d pay 10k more for the house personally. At the very least they should have refaced the upper cabinets with regular raised panel. But yeah they were on a budget.
Natural wood cabinets never go out of style. I think it was a waste of money painting them. The color makes the kitchen look like a dungeon now and will be out of date in a year. You would have been better off just changing the backsplash and putting in granite/ quartz countertops instead.
First impression of the cracked driveway really turned me off if I was a buyer informed this was a flip because it’s an immediate red flag. I don’t like the kitchen and bathroom green colors and I don’t like how some of the houses outdated stuff like the tub, tiles and cabinets were kept because it makes it look like lipstick on a pig. I also wish the kitchen layout was different because that island is so tiny. I understand flippers have a budget but I would pass on this house for sure.
275k for a cracked up foundation 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Amazes me what folks will settle for. Ridiculous 🚫
Ugh, so much brass
still white and offwhite shades even after a long gap. M bedroom is too simple, bathroom tiles ok, kitchen ok... flooring good,,,
You don't do anything on the house. Why. You need to do work too.
This isn’t HGTV, they’re the investors so why would they need to do any physical labor? That’s what they hire professional contractors for 😅
Damn, Lauren has really let herself go!
She is so pretty!
hmm...no budget to fix the drive way ?
This video was very heavy on the scripted ads😬 can you limit it to 1 or 2 in the future?
Overall, it’s a great reno. I just feel that you missed a great opportunity in the kitchen. A bigger island - longer with seating - would have filled some of that dead space and given the kitchen better function. Green cabinets are a bold choice….especially when they are that dark. Maybe a sage or olive color would have been more appealing. But love that you repurposed the existing cabinets - less for the landfill!! As always, you did a great job!
The reno budget was pretty tight so I get why they skipped for a bigger island. I bet they blew most of their money on the foundation repair. I also like that they reused the existing cabinets and agree with you about your color choice for the cabinets. Overall, they did a great job on the reno. 😊
Watching your videos from Canada makes me want to cry. That house would've been at least 900k CAD here before renovation, yes GTA 😂
In the Bay Area of California, it would have been $1.5 at least.
These videos are becoming unwatchable with all the ads and plugs for stuff. I had to fast forward half the video.
Just fast forward
The color choices are horrible. We absolutely hate the cabinet colors and obsession with black/near black. The trendy fake gold fixtures will be outdated in 5 years. Both issues would cause us to consider buying a different home. Add in that abysmal olive green shower tile and that house is a no-go. Otherwise, it looked good.
I'm sorry, but that green tile in the bathroom clashes with the dark gray floor tile and will turn off a lot of potential buyers or make them go in with the intention of replacing it.
Agreed - They look terrible in contrast with each other and the green by itself is already too taste-specific and frankly ugly in my opinion, I'd have kept it more neutral for sure.
I swear you said ..fresh..8 times
Amazing transformation! The kitchen cabinets and the bathroom tiles are a bit like marmite, some people will love them and some will hate them 😅
That linoleum gave me flashbacks to when I bought my current home in the mid-1990s.
YIKES that color on cabinets is AWFUL. The white grout on new tile floors will look a mess in no time. Only 10 percent of buyers will like the new choices. Grey tile with white grout and green shower tiles. Oy Vey only 21k profit. 👎🏼
The green on the cabinets and bathroom is a Big No for me it looks tacky. But the rest of the house is lovely.
I only "liked" this video because of the "monkey energy." 😅
Erm what the sigma I’m very early
I love the green cabinets and bathroom tile.
Those green tiles were common in 60s/70s in my Grandmothers house in Germany. Not only few walls, it's been the whole bathroom incl shower, tub, sink and floor. 😅
That primary bathroom tile!!!! 😍😍😍 I'm obsessed with green rectangular tile for a bathroom ever since my husband and I stayed at a beautiful hotel that had an entire glam bathroom with a similar tile. The one you picked was a little more budget-friendly I'm sure and more neutral, therefore less likely to scare away any buyers. Love it👏
I love all your design choices minus the olive green tile in the bathroom. Not my taste. Other than awesome work. Very light flip on this one. I think Foundation issues would scare most ppl because it’s major issue. Respectfully 22k doesn’t seem like a good yield with the amount of risk.
Neat, didn't know you could reglaze tiles! That's a really smart option if you don't have the budget.
I also like how this episode was more like your old ones before you brought in Homemade partners. I understand that you don't want to poke fun at a house in front of a client, but I did miss your commentary on the design choices of previous owners and the odd house layouts you find.
I think rotating the island would have improved the space by the dishwasher but overall a very pretty redo! Great job
Folks dont get smug about bright brass lights etc. The fixtures and finishes you've used here will have smug flippers griping about them in the 2050's or sooner.
That bathtub faucet was atrocious and stuck out almost instantly when you panned the room, that was awful. The beige walls were terrible too, and the lighting didn't really match the style of the home, it looked a little bit of a smack things together to make it better and it didn't really work.
Bad master bathroom tile color. Should have gone much more emerald (than olive). #fail
You took the teal green and brass from the 90s and did green and gold again. I realize they are different but yet the same. It will be dated again in a few years. I wouldnt buy it.
To me if your doing all that foundation work why didn’t you fix the driveway
Jesus christ chill out with the ads during the vids..
"easy peasy", "so easy" lmao yall aint doing shit
Ugh, terrible house
Kitchen is a total miss for me.
Love the color choices on this flip.
The deep dark green in the kitchen was a bold choice. The paint finish looks sticky though perhaps because of the black in the color. So perhaps, a smooth matte finish. I don't know.
I LOVE THE GREEN TILE in the master. It's bold but yet serene at the same time.
Love the gold accents too. Where did you all get the gold towel holder and lighting fixtures?
I approve cabinet and suite bathroom colors, dressy
Omg floor tile as back splash and island countertop that weard and sooo big 😂
i love the work yall do. pls don't sign to HGTV. Keep HomeMade Going
