      Even though I agree with you that changing the life insurance beneficiary to the person who took her home on the day of the murder is extremely more suspicious than saving a dollar on cigarettes, due to the arrogance of the head detective in charge of the case, Ryan McCarrick and others involved in law enforcement, they never even considered that due to incompetence or depraved indifference to justice.

      right? when one of my pets died i was hysterically crying, then i’d calm myself down and out of nowhere it’d bubble up and i’d break down again. grief is such a complicated thing it’s ridiculous they’d try and use it against him💔

    • @caseyelgin6988
      @caseyelgin6988 3 роки тому +37

      Exactly. Not exactly the same situation, but still shocking and emotionally devastating. I found my husband during a suicide attempt and saved his life. I was absolutely hysterical but knew I had to try to stay calm when the police and paramedics arrived. I had moments of crying but managed to collect myself enough to give a statement. The police were also kind and understanding enough to give me my moments to freak out. In situations like this, your adrenaline is pumping. You go through periods of shock, grief, and clarity. Poor Russ. It’s one thing to show 0 emotions in his situation is suspicious , but how he reacted is completely normal! Those cops were idiots!

Imagine how Russ felt sitting in prison knowing that his wife's murderer had not only gotten away with murdering his wife but was also spending his children's inheritance. Knowing they're out there (outside of prison) alone and not getting the care or financial support they needed. This is so disturbing.

      That's the reverse sexism thing at work as well. If you look even at contemporary newspaper accounts, when there is a criminal gang, the female members are often described as having cooperated under pressure, or having been coerced. Based on nothing but assumptions.
      With violent crime, men are even more likely to be considered the perpetrators and the 'brains' behind the act. Sociopathic women often use men to do their dirty work and they're often not caught. (I was thinking e.g. of the collar bomb case where a woman got one guy to build a bomb, to strap it around another to rob a bank, because she wanted to use the money to hire a killer to get rid of her father...)
