These never get old for me. It's just nice to see someone organize a carefully curated wardrobe. And the esthetic of your closet is so soft and peaceful.
A highly expected video twice a year! I'm doing my wardrobe switch-over this weekend and it's really helpful seeing this organised procedure from you.❤
Switchover day here as well! But not before watching your seasonal video. It's always so motivating and calming. And altough my wardrobe is much smaller with much less items there is always space to clearout and create space for my growing collection of self knitted items. Happy autumn to everyone! 🍂🍁🍃
Love your seasonal switch-out episodes. They inspire me to reorganize my own wardrobe, albeit a much less daunting task than yours. This is when I am most grateful for keeping my wardrobe to a minimum and culling out anything that's not going to be worn by me anymore.
Wow Emma, what a mammoth job! It's so nice to see the love and care you have for your clothes, and all the thought you give to your wardrobe, and exciting to see all those autumn/ winter clothes come out that you haven't seen for months! Such a lovely season to dress for, comforting and so much easier than our tricky UK summers with heat waves and storms!
Huzzah !! I was watching the weather change and it occurred to me that your autumn/winter wardrobe change over would be coming soon and I got a little tingle of anticipatory excitement and here it is !! As always, inspiring, soothing, and satisfying 😊 Thank you for continuing to indulge us with this ritual ❤
Love watching this every year it always makes me smile, I to love knitwear and got two draws full but might have to make room for another as I bought some new jumpers from H&M. Been saving this video to watch after a huge de clutter Sunday morning , so it's feet up with a cuppa x
Another inspiring switchover! I did mine a bit early this year, as we were donating to a charity drive in September. I’ve one bin left, with the heaviest, really cold weather items, under the bed for easy access. Doesn’t a really great clear out feel good, especially when you know the things will be useful to others! Thanks as always for the handy tips and motivation, Emma. I’m loving all the beautiful home videos. Congratulations to you and Simon; your place looks stunning. Hugs to the B’s! 🍁🍂🌾🤎
Hi Emma. It’s always gives me a bit of a kick start when you feature your wardrobe changeover! However, the weather here in Greece is still around 26/27 degrees during the day but much cooler in the evenings. I always keep some lightweight knits and long sleeve t shirts out to cover this period but it’s just a little early to bring the ‘heavy duty’ winter wear out of storage. We’re definitely not ready for coats or even blazers yet! Your dressing room is such a well organised space but I’m thinking a portable clothes rail is so practical for sorting various pieces out that I may well invest in one and store it away when it’s not needed due to lack of space! I look forward to seeing your new-in pieces and have a great week.🧡🍁🎃🐾
Yeh we won’t be wearing even lighter coats until November I think but by getting everything out now it saves me having to do yet another switch. I have everything I need for warmer days and I’m ready for the cold ones too 🙌🏼
Love the video. Please will you share your Disney wardrobe. I’m going to Florida next year and trying to build out my Disney outfits and would love some ideas and inspiration x
Well mine is a collection of things I’ve bought from all my past visits, I even have some vintage items which were my parents from when we went when I was little. I also love Vinted for Disney stuff and of course a mini Loungefly backpack for my park bag x
Great video again Emma! Just what I look forward to snuggling down with my Sunday morning coffee and bacon butty! 😀 I love your changeovers as well. I'm doing mine this week but as the weather here in the U.K. is still so unseasonably warm, I'll be keeping back a few light clothes and sandals for now. Looking forward to watching your vid about your new purchases for autumn. Love to you, Simon and the Bs x
I can’t wait to do my autumn/winter wardrobe switchover, the weather just isn’t right yet here in California, it’s been 95F for over a week. I’ll probably do it around November 1 to 15, when the chances of these major heat waves are mostly past. I love autumn fashion: sweaters, boots and blazers! I wear them with my skirts and dresses, mostly, not having much success with trousers, my narrow hips and legs are nearly impossible to fit. Thanks for showing us your switchover. I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one with a lot of clothes, I just wish I had your nice wardrobe room to put them in❤
My absolute favourite of all the videos you do Emma! I just love the supreme organisation! Would you consider doing an old school handbag collection video again at some point? I would love to see how different it is now. Thanks as always. Liz. X
Every wardrobe switchover I comment the same because it is true: This video is so enjoyable and it always feels as if we are doing it together ❤ thabks for sharing another year 😊
Haha yeh that’s why I always keep out some basic t-shirts so I can wear those for these little hot spells. It’s not hot enough here to wear full on summer clothes like a summer dress because the heat is different, it’s chilly in the shade, mornings and evenings.
I love watching your wardrobe switch over, I watch them every season and I usually do my own switch over the next week-end after you post the video :) I'm not really looking forward to do it this season, I have a lot of jeans to try on and I hate it but I'm at point where I wear the 3 same pairs of jeans because I don't know what fits and what doesn't fit anymore. I need to do a clear out, asess what I have and what I need to buy. On the plus side, I'm excited to wear my chunky knitwear again, especially jumper dresses. They're my favourite, they're comfy and warm, you just throw them on with a pair of warm tights and you're done. Perfect for the days where I'm grumpy and lazy, which is most winter days tbh 😂 Have a good week, Emma 💜
Sounds like the perfect time to do a switchover. Time to rid those jeans that are giving you anxiety. I did that this time around. There were some jeans that I knew wouldn’t fit me and I just put them straight in the ‘go’ pile after holding on to them for far too long. It’s a good feeling 🙌🏼
Amazing !! Love how organised you are 🙏🙌 Would you mind me asking where you got the mirror hung in your door ? Can see a small glimpse of it and I am looking for something similar at the moment x
Lol I do this too twice a year. Very funny because as I’m from Central Florida - it’s really more of a vibe and color change. Mid November and in the 80’s still. We just have to pretend it’s cooler out. I’m pretty good at it. See you at Disney!
Fabulously inspiring video Emma! Thank you for sharing. I’m moving to a house soon with a loft conversion and wondered where you got all your lovely white furniture from that fits the space so neatly?
This was an Ikea hack so we customised furniture to fit. If you want to see how we achieved this we shared the whole process in this video ua-cam.com/video/3S59TfNeiSs/v-deo.htmlsi=y9CTsB0biEGwGVwL
As an autumn girl, this is probably my most favorite video on your channel ;-) Can I ask you how it takes you to do the entire process ? Thank you Emma !
Hello Emma, love this video and find your style so appealing. I love the jeans that you wear in the video and I am now coveting them for my from me to me Christmas present. I probably had them the first time around in the 90s! Can you tell me if you found the 28s the right size for you or, would you say you needed to go for the 29 or 30 for the look you had in them? Curious, as I’m of a similar size and would need to buy online. Thank you so much.
Great job Emma. I know how tough a clear out is. I have slowly been clearing out lesser used items over the last month. My switch over is really just switching to my Fall/Winter closet (I have two walk in closets: spring/summer, fall/winter). Everything stays out all year round. I have a large shoe collection, that I have been working on.
Dear Emma, I love following your channel and I'm also a huge lover of autumn ❤ Thank you for lovely recent autumn videos. I would love to see an autumn vlog or your autumn day in the life the same as you filmed for winter 😊 Autumn hugs 😊 Marta
It is definitely a motivation for me to clear out my closet!!! Do you do a switchover in Simon's closet??? I told my husband I was doing it while he was out of town!!! It's the only way I could do it!!!! Love the video and the editing is superb!!!!
Would love to have a wardrobe room like yours 😍 ps. I suggest to wrap your shoes (Birkenstock for ex) with a protective cover to avoid dirt while they are in the tub 😉
I love your switch over videos. so good and inspiring to clean and organize everything. BTW I'm still waiting for a The Row slouchy banana bag thorough review after more than a year
Yeh it’s warm here in Kent to but the weather will change like that and I wanted to be prepared. I have things to wear in this warm weather too but I just have everything ready for the cold 🙌🏼
Best time of the year in terms of watching your annual clean up/change up wardrobe Emma! ❤ hope the fur babies are well, and as per usual wishing you & Mr Simon a great week ahead! PS are you coming to Melbourne in January? 😊🤞🏼
I got too excited when I saw the video title appear on the top of my UA-cam page 😂. Loved it! Might you consider a video on talking through your declutter process and reasoning on letting pieces go?
I don’t really have an in depth process. I literally just look at something and know if it’s staying or going. I suppose I think about when I last wore it but I don’t think I have enough to talk about in a full video I’m afraid x
Fab as always Emma, I just look at your clothes sat there in your wardrobe and drool. I'm desperately trying to get to even a qtr of the gorgeousness that you have but I'm struggling on my high st budget. Currently looking for pleated grey trousers and the only ones I like are in the £100's and the couple I've seen for 'normal' prices are out of stock (as usual)! Ho hum. Enjoy the sunshine xx
These switchover videos are like a meditation for me)) Thank you! I haven't seen all of your videos... yet?)) but if you didn't, maybe you could show more about the vertical(?) storage of the knitwear? Thank you again!
Love your channel ive been having sort through my wardrobe and replacing things for new item when i switched my wardrobes over xxcould you considered doing a change over in Simmons wardrobe as i keep trying to get my other half to do his xx
He actually has all his clothes, shoes, accessories etc in his wardrobe so doesn’t need to do a switch. He has far far less than me but then his job for the last 15 years hasn’t been what I do so it’s understandable 🙊
@@EmmaHill that's what my other half says he's no where near clothes I've got ...but my excuse is us lady's like our clothes and men seem to stick to same things 🤣
Every time I watch these switchover videos I get the urge to organise....then I try and realise how bad my space is and how much we need to renovate our bedroom 😂
I think ‘insane’ is a tad extreme given that we live in a world where we have brands like Shein where customers buy an average of 6 items per order, and on a regular basis. These items are often literally thrown away after one wear because they have zero resale value due to terrible quality. My wardrobe is at least full of quality items that have been well looked after that can be sold when I no longer want them and can serve someone else for years to come, and possibly other people after that. Granted I do have a larger wardrobe than some but I’ve been working in this industry for 15 years, so with every fashion collaboration comes clothing and I like to get as much out of these items as I can. So yes, I tend to hold on to them leading to a larger quantity until I have a big clearout and items can go to new homes.
I have accumulated more items than perhaps average over many years of being in this industry but they are all quality items. So unlike having a wardrobe full of Shein, I have value in my wardrobe and the ability to resell when I no longer want to keep hold of something.
Disney is a huge part of my life and although I rarely wear my Disney stuff outside f a Disney trip I love having it there. I used to keep it all in a suitcase before (and still have some in a suitcase to add to my new cupboard) but since doing my switch I’ve opened my cupboard a few times just to make me smile and get excited for my next trip 🙌🏼
Jaysus Emma four tubes of coats 😂…..😂 …Holy God it’s A lot Girl … you most definitely NEED to be organised…loved the video it’s very inspiring organisation..❤
Haha yeh an accumulation over about 6 years, plus doing this job I probably get around 3-5 coats from Autumn/Winter collaborations so it was nice to halve what I had and have some space 🙌🏼
No nothing is on there yet, as I mentioned in the video you need to keep an eye on my Instagram stories as I will share dates and times when items will be live for sale x
Oh yes, with every fibre of my being ✨. I have such a strong connection to Disney from childhood, it’s a part of my life everyday in some way whether it’s watching a film or one of the park parades on UA-cam (I do this a lot 🤣) or listening to a Disney podcast and my Disney playlist is always on when you see me wearing my AirPods. Many people will laugh but it’s my therapy and often my motivator and for years I kept quiet or hid my love for it, but I’ve got to an age where I just don’t care what people think now so I’m gonna sing and dance and bring it up in every conversation 🤣🙌🏼
I feel sure in the old house these used to be longer videos and you talked through what you were pulling out and why. If I’ve imagined it then apologies but I think that’d be great useful content to discuss what you’re focusing on this coming season
I literally take everything out of storage and it goes in place of what was there so aside from the change of seasons and therefore change of weather there isn’t really anything else that influences why I change my wardrobe over. Or have I misunderstood your question? Did you mean the items I’m clearing out?
I don’t live in the Netherlands 🤣 but we had some warm weather here, t-shirt weather too which is exactly why I left some t-shirts out. The weather will change so quickly and I wanted to be prepared for that 😊
We have warm weather too but it is cooler in the morning and at night and in the shade, it’s definitely not that strong Summer heat and before we know it the weather will change like that and I don’t want to be unprepared for when that happens 🥶
@@EmmaHill yea this year the transition into fall is weird af. 🤔 but I get the chilly mornings and evening. I love that bc for me warm weather is nothing else then me sweating 😓 & more sweating bc of a immune disorder (Graves where the tyrod is working to hard & years ago it has been fully taken out) but I still have that sweating to much. So even when it's freezing cold I don't always have to wear a coat .💁🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
@@carmengrauwelsI actually fully understand what you mean, I was recently diagnosed with a health condition which also involves my thyroid and my heart and I am very uncomfortable in warm weather. It sucks, I used to love the heat but now it’s really not enjoyable 😭
@@EmmaHill good morning Emma, sorry that you are diagnosed! Yes me too, i was outside when the weather was good and sunny, from kid to young adult and then came that diagnoses but you know, all is relative , it really is. I wish there was an in depth process of that but I’m afraid there’s not, I just look at it and know if I want to keep it or not 😆🙈
The thing that helps me with that is the fact if I have worn it the last two seasons… if I haven’t I will put it away😊

However, the weather here in Greece is still around 26/27 degrees during the day but much cooler in the evenings. I have linked the video where we built this wardrobe in the description box so you can find details there x
Thank you. I love your style. Look forward to your vlogs every week.
So inspirational, organisation goals for me! Thank you so much. Have I missed the items for sale yet? I hope not. Hx
Nope, as I mentioned in the video, if you keep your eyes on my stories that’s where I announce dates and times when items will be going up for sale x
Thank you
@@EmmaHill
Hi @emmahill - love this video! Could you post the links to your Vinted and Vestiaire also? Thanks ... Jo x
As mentioned in the video, the links are below in the description box x
Seriously Emma, I was like why did it finished. 😂 I can watch your content for hours without getting bored. 🔥
Haha maybe one day I’ll live stream my process so you can all watch the hours of it in real time 🤣
@@EmmaHill I would totally watch it! Call it part of my selfcare routine! Hydrating mask on, cup of tea with some biscuits and chill mode on! 🤍🔥🌸
You have an insane amount of clothes.
I'm genuinely impressed by your video! - "Challenges are opportunities in disguise.."
Wow, you have a lot of everything😮
I have accumulated more items than perhaps average over many years of being in this industry but they are all quality items. So unlike having a wardrobe full of Shein, I have value in my wardrobe and the ability to resell when I no longer want to keep hold of something.
So organized 👌 😍 ❤
Thank you x
I love that you have a Disney section 🤍 my mom always says my life is fully neutral..with the exception of my Disney stuff 🥰
Love this kind of video, I started my switchover earlier this week. 🤍
where is the shoe shelf from ??
Hi Emma! Love these videos. Could you maybe just give your Vestiaire handle because the link isn’t working for me
Are you sure? I’ve gained loads of new followers so the link is definitely working x
@@EmmaHill didn't work on my phone, but it does on my laptop :D You gained another follower ;-)
Please show your folding method. Ty
That has been shown in a previous switchover video x
Jaysus Emma four tubes of coats 😂…..😂 …Holy God it’s A lot Girl … you most definitely NEED to be organised…loved the video it’s very inspiring organisation..❤
Haha yeh an accumulation over about 6 years, plus doing this job I probably get around 3-5 coats from Autumn/Winter collaborations so it was nice to halve what I had and have some space 🙌🏼
OMG, you have so much clothes 😂 where do you keep the plastic boxes?
In the eaves as shown in the video 😘
What a great video. Ty so much.
Thank you for watching x
I couldn’t see anything on vinted, wasn’t sure if you’re still in the process of uploading or if everything has gone?
No nothing is on there yet, as I mentioned in the video you need to keep an eye on my Instagram stories as I will share dates and times when items will be live for sale x
Good morrow lovely! ❤️😊 Am in the middle of my switch over. 😅
Oooo great! Happy organising 😘
Didn't know that you're a Disney fan. Lovely ❤
Girrrl it is still hot as day here in The Netherlands. T-shirt weather.
I don’t live in the Netherlands 🤣 but we had some warm weather here, t-shirt weather too which is exactly why I left some t-shirts out. The weather will change so quickly and I wanted to be prepared for that 😊
Just started my wardrobe switch over and hoping my small space storage is enough 😂
It's calming and you have lots of good tips ❤
😊are you off to Orlando in January? ❤
Maaaaaaybeeee 🙊😬😜✨🏰🐭🍊
I really need to do mine too but the weather is holding me back 23 today 23 is hot for this time of year 🤔
✌🏻🍁
Yes it's an adjustment, you need to get time to get your head around it, but you will find your .... how do I say this in English 🤔🤔 ... you will find your way around it .
✌🏻🍁
@@carmengrauwelsoh yes absolutely, I’m just going through a bit of an adjustment period at the moment with the symptoms I have and a new medication to get used to.
OMG I love these kind of videos! Please come to my house and do my switchover wardrobe! 🙈
It would be my absolute pleasure 🙌🏼😘
Where is your Max Mara coat? I didn't see it 🥺🥺🥺🥺
That went years ago, before Covid if I remember correctly.
