I did a wardrobe clean out/reorganise yesterday and I also tried on every single piece of clothing. I was ruthless and realistic about how my body has changed. It made me fall in love with pieces I had forgotten about and helped me form 'donate', 'sell', 'give to a friend', 'sentimental' and 'keep' piles. Gee my wardrobe looks good now! I loved seeing you in all the outfits!!! 🩷

When we moved from Wisconsin to Florida I was living in a white tee and shorts. For 2-3 yrs I didn’t buy any clothes I actually love because I didn’t like how my body looked after having our son and than I ended up with too much clothes when I did finally reached my body size. Now after a lot of decluttering and hating my body again I’m back to a a manageable amount of clothes 😅 I think it’s important to acknowledge that as we get older our style and body is always changing and figuring out what works for you can be trial and error so I’m a lot more mindful of what I buy and how much 💜

I do a closet clean out every new season. If I’m undecided I’ll keep it for 3-6 months and if I don’t wear it in that time I donate it. I still find myself suffering from the “nothing to wear” syndrome because of my weight and style change I feel like all my clothes I’ve outgrown both physically and style wise I used to be really into the alternative kinda looks but now as I get older my personality and style has changed and I’m into the more western punchy kinda vibe and I’m trying to rebuild my wardrobe with pieces I really love and really feel like me now not who I was 10 years ago along with that I’m also getting rid of all my clothes that I’ve been hanging onto for “when I lose weight” or “maybe one day I’ll fit into this again” like you said I’ll keep something that’s maybe 1 or 2 sizes at the most smaller or bigger than what I currently wear but I let go of anything else.
I wear flattering sport bra under mesh tops. Or even tank tops..I also love throwing on a mesh top over bikinis / or when I actually want to work out. I find aerie and h&m has alot of nice sport bras that don’t necessarily look like sport bras and the colours can range from nudes/ neutrals or fun bright colours. 😅

I did a closet clean out some months after giving birth for the same reason and it felt so liberating taking myself out of that expectation to make everything fit the same way again.
