@smallindiana
Sold my vehicle to Carvana on Sunday, May 7th, after watching your channel and reading the comments. An expeditiously easy process.
Any issues with Carvana paying off the lean in a timely manner? Don’t want them taking months to pay the actual lean off costing me late payment fees and credit issues.
had total different experience. smooth, just shared the registration and picture of the odometer and few documents directly through their website.
no pictures of the car to take.
had a straight forward process including the pickup and receiving top dollars.
That’s awesome!
Same!
How soon after the sale should I expect payment?
Exactly my experience. Zero photos of the interior or exterior. I drove to my appointment, the lady at the desk did a 5 min walkthrough, then cut me a check. Beyond easy.
How do they pay you and when? seemed odd to leave that out
GOOD CONTENT, OFF THE SCRIPT QUESTION.... WHAT KIND OF MIC DO YOU USE FRO YOR CONTENT. IT SOUNDS AMAZING......
You don’t know how much I needed to hear this. I’m an audio nerd, so I’ve been experimenting for a while on the best type of mic to use. I’ve landed on the DJI Mic - it’s fantastic in a number of different scenarios.
Well, t worked. Very clear!!!
"im not gonna dive in our financial situation" "i have to get a cashiers check" you were upside down!
Bingo.
I sold my ‘21 Mercedes GLC Coupe to them. The man on the phone said the would pick it up within 150 miles. When I went to choose how to get it to them it only honored “Drop Off Only”. I questioned the choice after waiting 47 minutes to get a rep. They declined offering the pick up option even though I was less than 150 miles as I was told. We only owe $32,000 on it and they offered $45,200. We paid extra and it did not depreciate that much. We will be taking it to the Pittsburgh, PA area Saturday.
Nice. Glad to hear.
That is because pick up option is not always available plus it usually has pick up fee charge, it depend if the hub nearest to you is available for pick up.Usually the main reason why pick up option is not always available is because they don't have enough field advocate hence why they're always overbooked on some cases there are carvana hub that is only open for custumer who wants to buy a vehicle and they don't handle customer who wants to sell their vehicle to Carvana that's another reason why some customer would ask how come there's carvana hub near them but it's not the drop off location they got when they chose a drop off option.
only 32000. wow
@@AyameMendez1996 The web site told a different story. They would pick it up within 180 miles.
I got a car with a potential blown head gasket yet never told em think they’d find it? I’d ask em to have it picked up as I don’t want to drive it far to their location but we’ll see they offered more then the dealership
How did this workout
"Allowed you to say good-bye" - oh yes, I identify with that!.
My experience with Caravana sucks.
Tried to schedule them to pick my car.
Spent time on the phone waiting almost 20 minutes to speak with customer service, having them to say they can’t. And I will have to schedule to deliver the car myself which is over 120 miles away.
And will need a ride back 120 miles.
So please check in your area if there is carnana near you.
Wow. Hate to hear that Car Dude. I am lucky. We have a distribution/reconditioning center about 20 mins away.
What about payment
Question for you. Are you able to deduct the sales price of the car you sold from the new Tesla you bought and only pay taxes on the difference
In Arkansas you can
Thanks. I’m thinking about selling my 2015 Lexus RX350 to Carvana. They made me a pretty good offer. This was helpful.
Glad I could help. That’s why I do it. Thanks for watching.
Our experience with Carvana was terrible. The delivery time was from 11am-2pm EST. 2pm passes, but we get no call, no notification, nothing. We call to follow up, and were told to wait another hour or so. Carvana would not give us a valid ETA on the late delivery. Calling this unprofessional and a lack of customer focus is an understatement. We would not recommend buying or selling a car from Carvana.
Hate to hear that. We purchased 2 vehicles from them, and sold one. All experiences were very positive.
Thank you for creating this content. I’m looking to sell to Carvana and also have a bit more owed to the bank than what they offer. What did you mean by you having to give a check to Carvana? Did they pay your loan off ? Also, do they do the registration change and all of that admin stuff? Thanks again!
You will cut a check for the difference. They pay off you loan. Registration and admin stuff is pretty specific depending on location/state. So your mileage may vary. In my case once you sell in Indiana you are required to notify the BMV.
If you have a negative equity then you would have to give a check for that negative equity to Carvana so that they could pay off your loan but if you have a positive equity then you don't have give a check instead you will get that positive equity amount as your payment while the rest of your offer value will be given to your lienholder to payoff your loan or lease.
They add the rest to your loan. You could pay what’s owed to lower your payments or just have them place it on the end of the
no one on youtube mentions payment, do they cut a check right there ?
No one mentions payment because almost everyone is underwater in a car - so if you owe more than it’s worth you would cut them a check. If they owe you money, they will hand you the check.
gotcha@@smallindiana
I bet that i'snt why people don't mention it but I appreciate the information. If people are under they would still find it helpful to know how the transaction works, especially if someone still owes the bank and someone is hauling their car off on a flatbed. It's probably a lack of people asking, but I like to know the details before giving a company too much of my personal information. @@smallindiana
What about the tax?
Do they take any sales tax or its something you will pay by your own?
I’m not sure I understand your question. Because I sold my vehicle at a slight loss, I did not incur any taxes on the difference.
If you buy a new car from them and use this as a trade in then you will only pay sales tax on the difference between the new vehicle and old, assuming the new vehicle is more money, If it is less then there wouldn’t be sales tax at all,
If you are selling your car you wouldn’t pay sales tax, That would be the buyer and as carvana are a dealer they would be exempt, tax would be paid by the person they carvana sell to,
How long did it take for your car payment, was it instant?
We didn’t get a payment. We owed more than it was worth (just by a few).
I got my check on the spot :)
How long took for you get the payment "check "
On the pick up
Selling private party is a nightmare and so easy to get ripped off.
Selling to Carvana is far less likely to be a disaster than a private party sale, but not as easy as trading into a dealer.
So I have a loan through them, I’m paying off 22,680 left n 608 a month. It’s fucked I know😂 but I’m trying to sell back n it asks for a 10 day loan payoff, what does that mean?
10 Day Payoff is something a bank typically is able to provide you. I had to call Bridgecrest (Carvana's Bank)
What is the issuing bank for the check that they gave you.
Great question, @Ed. In our situation we had an extremely small balanced owed after the value provided. I do know their preferred/partnered lending is Bridgecrest, if that helps.
I tryed this a few yrs ago up loading docs were easy would do this better then going to dealership
Don’t forget when trading into tesla assuming you are buying a tesla you save the sales tax on the trade in value, So tesla, carvana and zoom were all within 200 of each other. With tesla getting there with their trade in value plus value of car tax saved.
Nice. In my case the differences between Tesla & Carvana was multiple thousands.
@@smallindiana yea. Tesla was about 1500 below carvana for me. But if you factor in the tax saved it would be 200 difference, I still went with carvana, had an awesome experience there tbh,
Wednesday delivery of home Mazda car
Edmunds is much better
Could be. We decided to go with Carvana due to the relationship we had already had and the value they provided but everyone’s situation is different.
@smallindiana I understand. In my case Carvava offers me 16k, carMax-edmund 21k.
I will leave my rogue at carmqx then I will use Uber to puck up my mew tesla y LR🥳🥳🥳
GHEEZZ, ...LONG WINDED, NON SENSE
