  • Some Carvana customers say their car-buying process was challenging. Multiple lawsuits claim that Carvana takes too long to transfer the car's registration, leaving some customers vulnerable to being pulled over by police. Carvana denies any wrongdoing. They declined to do an interview. However, in a statement, the company says, in part, they've bought and sold over a million cars and have a 4.7 out of 5-star rating on their website. They also say they're committed to improving their customers' experience.

    When companies don’t want to do a interview or decline anything they know they messed up and in the wrong . Until they hear from a lawyer they won’t give you any explanation.

There’s no taxi in my city so I had no way to return after giving the rental car back and they kept saying they would pick it up. Glad I didn’t go to jail I guess.

      This was a case of user error and not understanding the process. Carvana gives you 7 days from the date of possession to have the car inspected yourself, and sometimes even extend it out to 14 days. And they'll fix any issues the mechanic finds out of pocket, basically bringing the car to near new condition. This woman seems like she never had the car inspected. You can also purchase an extended warranty through them or a 3rd party.
      You take even more of a risk when you buy from a random person off the street.
      Regarding the titling/plates...I've heard horror stories there. I do think they need to sort all that out and get better.

    I. Too, had a nightmare experience with Carvana. Long story short, I never was given title so the car could be registered in CA. After 3 months and driven 5k miles, I gave the car back and eventually did get a full refund minus a $23 fee from DMC to dive the car almost 5 hr to turn it in, no reimbursement for gas spent to do so. The agent I worked with almost daily since I bought the car told me to think of it as a free car rental. NO, it was a nightmare!!!! I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them nor any other such dealers!!! I wish I knew a lawyer that would take on a class action suit against them!! I turned in the car over a year ago now. I guess we got lucky. We had no issue at all getting my wife a great preowned car. No problem with registration or titling. The process was straightforward and the car was delivered in no time. No out of state temp tag and we received the title a lot sooner than I expected. Got it insured no problem. We were kind of hesitant about this way of buying a car but we were pleasantly surprised. I hate it for the people who have had bad experiences.

    As for title/reg, it may be out of Carvana’s hands. It can take months depending on how backed up the DMV is. Which is why you don’t buy a car out of state. I work for a company that deals with the DMV. I’ve seen them take 6 months to finish up a transfer of a used car from out of state (and we have smog inspections here so it can make it worse). When it comes to car buying, buy local.

    • @sarahcrain792
      @sarahcrain792 Рік тому +1

      Just because you buy a vehicle out of state doesn’t have anything to do with the smog inspection all you need is the title of the vehicle to take to your local DMV for buying privately owned vehicles
      Some people even buy vehicles from car lots out of state and smog has never been a issue it depends on if you live in a county or state where they do have smog inspections I believe a lot of states have smog inspection it just depends on what county you live in because some county’s do not require smog inspections

When I shopped on Carvana, I just planned on delivery, so I had no idea where the car was coming from... and didn't really care. When I learned that the car I ordered was in Arizona, I almost flew from Wisconsin to Arizona to pick it up. My sons live in AZ and getting the car from a vending machine would've been a unique experience. Ultimately, I decided to have the car delivered (it was a 3-year-old Camaro SS with only 5,000 miles on the odometer, so I really didn't want to add all those miles on the drive home).

Carvana was a great company in the beginning of 2020, and they kept buying and buying, new car lots, new Carvana car towers, and a bunch of other things. I'm thinking on leaving here soon or may be laid off due to them losing money. You have a 100 day 4,100 mile warranty. Every car has free carfax. You can look at its history (or lack thereof). You can drive the car for 400 miles after you purchase it and still return it within 7 days. If you go over 400 miles and decide to return it, you pay $1 a mile. That is a 7 day 400 mile test drive. How many used car dealers offer that? They sell nearly half a million cars a year. This is "Inside Edition". Sounds to me like the girl who happened to own an RV wanted to register her car in a state that didnt' require emissions (South Dakota). Explain why she would "drive" from South dakota to Phx Arizona? Looks to me like she created her own tangled web, and now is playing the victim.

    Carvana tryed to sell me a repo and I said pick up your car. I never drove it. They never picked there car up and a few mouths later they say I owe them 4000 for lat fees and it hurt my credit.they need to go down.They also never sent a plate on top of that.

    My fiancé is a car salesman and he knew this wouldn’t last. A car is an expensive purchase. Would you buy a house online and commit to an interest rate and payment before ever seeing it in person?!

    I'm 2 months in on my purchase from Carvana and so far I'm happy with it. 2012 Honda Accord. The registration went smoothly

    Same! They sold me a vehicle with faulty brakes and I totaled it the next day because the brakes went out. They said I had to pay to fix it in order to see if it was the brakes fault? Well they already took my 25k and now I will never see that money again. So I couldn’t afford to fix the vehicle.
