      Thanks mate!
      Omnius Essence is pretty good as you can pick what stats you get (and even use it for enhance!). The Screaming Dragonscale is pretty good too, especially for M+ (crit + dam) and Whispering Icon follows closely after. I have a video talking about the healer trinkets, check it out if you want :)

    So after checking the gear, I see more than 60%+ restos in the top leaderboards are playing with Frayaks Tainted Rageheart and Tomb of Unstable Power. Can you explain why the choice of a tank trinket that gives vers (not even int)? Is it just for the personal shield? Or the splash dmg significant?

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  4 місяці тому +1

      Good question! First, I'd say don't look at the top of the leaderboards unless you are playing the same key levels as they are - the game that they play is quite different than what we do!
      Specifically the Fyrrak trinket is quite good in the sense that it provides a shield and as we don't have external, that's actually crucial for them to survive one-shot mechanics on higher keys that would otherwise kill them, however, you can safely assume that you'll be fine up until the +15-17 range (may be even further) without it apart from a couple of situations (last boss in NO). The added damage from that trinket is just a very nice bonus but again, as a healer, you should not worry about dpsing this season at all unless you want to.
      The other trinket is just a DPS one. It does a ton of damage indeed but again, you should not worry about that as you don't need to DPS at all in order to time keys in lower ranges. You'd benefit more if you get a stat stick or another trinket that will benefit your healing as well, especially early in the season playing in PUGs. If you want to flex and do a lot of damage, sure, Tome is probably bis for that but I wouldn't worry about it too much and focus more on healing until people get enough gear and knowledge for the dungeons.

    so you need to have riptides most of the time on all party members? how do you deal with unexpected party wide damage? Seems to me that shammy lacks in that department. I feel like alls heals are slow, it feels I have to start casting my heals, before the boss finishes casting its aoe spell and not after

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  3 місяці тому +1

      Interesting point but I think that "slow" part with the setup is only valid for PWave and the Healing Wave after. Everything else should be very short and quick casts for you even if you don't have haste. Tidebringer makes your Chain Heals a shot gun so in heavy aoe you can send a couple out very quickly which is a lot of hps even with no other cooldowns running. And if you are pressing your riptides every now and then, you'll have Tidal Wave stacks which makes your CH even quicker although I'd often use those on Healing Surges as they are extremely quick too and they almost always crit. Those short cast times basically make you the king of unexpected damage as you can use them to react quickly when something unexpected happens with CH and Surges. The PW combo is the only pro-active part that you have to setup and time correctly with boss CDs and casts.
      I'm uploading some of my runs on a secondary channel, if you want to see some of my gameplay, check it out there:

      @@vanguelisk Yeah, in that regard, Riptide used to blast with the old tier set but it's not nearly as powerful now so you have to lean back to your casting abilities as rsham now

    If people are engineers they should go for Cr bracers, that stuff saved to many runs already for me

      with talents CR never fails, to add extra benefit there is 10min cd single target push that you add to belt, long cd, but nice to have sometimes, ro cancel a cast or group up one annoying caster

    hey howe much haste we need for m+?15% 20%?and then stack crit and versi> above 30%>????

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  3 місяці тому

      Honestly, you can go for 0%. Haste only helps with your dps as your healing spells are very quick to cast already due to Tidal Waves and Tidebringer so you can literally go without haste at all. I personally stack a bit to get to the 15-20% mark just so the game doesn't feel really slow and I'd like to do a bit of dps as a healer too but this is definitely not a requirement!
