I used to play elemental until our small guild was lacking a healer and I was like well I'll try it. It wasn't just manageable to pick up but it was super fun. Guides like this make it even more easy to do. If anyone's on the fence please, don't be afraid to try this, this vid's got you covered. :)
I hate hate HATE primordial wave. This spell makes me hate my main. It feels SO clunky since we don't value haste.. And they are doubling down on primwave with Farseer talents in war within..
I love primordial wave. It saves me in almost every fight. Especially in this season with the insane damage. Riptide 4 people and prim wave the 5th. Drop a healing stream totem or two and healing wave the lowest target. Everybody's at 100%. It's like having a 5th cooldown.
great video man! finaly starting top understand resto shammy, btw why you choose healing surge instead of healing wave isent wave more mana sufficient?
I personally fund the best use case for healing tide totem to be if you need alot of healing and need to move, think second boss of dawn of the infinite.
Hey there, thank you for the video, maining RSham from SL S1 is good to see the basics covered once again ! I do have a question though, can you share the WA used for the Bloodlust reminder at the end of the video ? Thanks !
i actually really needed this! me and 3 friends have been doing up to lvl 20 keys this season but for season 4 we're organizing and they want me healing on a shaman, which im not amazing at lol
@@Ghreggori i have the same issue , and i love shaman but when someone is really low and dying i miss my serenity, sanctify, and pw:life which can actually top someone off in 1 gcd, but i do love the class as i consider it so much funnier to play than holy priest
So after checking the gear, I see more than 60%+ restos in the top leaderboards are playing with Frayaks Tainted Rageheart and Tomb of Unstable Power. Can you explain why the choice of a tank trinket that gives vers (not even int)? Is it just for the personal shield? Or the splash dmg significant?
All of it. A massive shield, damage that scales with big pulls and vers that scales well the higher the key is. If you're pushing that high keys, survivability becomes really important
High tide and the other chain heal talents had me turned off of shaman. So when I heard about the no chain heal build I got interested in resto again. Not that I don't like chain heal but the talents that buff it suck.
Prim wave is not my favorite spell, as you have to invest a lot of talent points to make it good. Thanks for the good overview. I will try and push title this season on shaman or monk. Let’s see how it pans out 😅
I run high tide and prim wave talents mostly. I’ve tried to not spend those extra 3 points to buff prim wave but honestly you really feel it. There are many mechanics currently that deal big aoe damage every 30 seconds from what I noticed. It’s very mana efficient so I feel like we really can’t afford to not run it since spamming chain heal will oom you very fast. I try to prioritize chain heal when high tide is up and prim wave for aoe healing when high tide isn’t active. Just get a simple weakaura to track high tide and throw it next to your party frames.
Yeah prioritize prim wave for aoe healing where you can and riptide/healing wave to top people whenever it’s not urgent… unless you have High Tide active because it makes your chain heal very efficient for mana
It's viable to a point, but Cloudburst is definitely better. In higher keys when there's a ton of dmg going out, Cloudburst can be a lifesaver at times.
Haven’t healed anything too high, just 15 and 16s but cloudburst is good for big burst in a small window that healing stream can’t match. For damage that isn’t insanely bursty I think healing stream with the new talent is very strong and outheals cloudburst overall for me by far. Also the CD is much less so with totem lengthening talents you can have 100% uptime on healing stream which gives you permanent 15% Crit
Hello, Rshamy is my main healer. I want to try one more healer, but dont have a lot of time to play. Can you tell me, which class is easy to learn? Thanks.
Holy priest is what I play along with my shaman. It's fun and easy. With the mini rework the DPS is great now along with the big juicy heals it pops off.
Good question. It’s basically a numbers game. Two talent points there can increase your overall healing by around 2-3%… now compare that to nature’s fury where if you invest 2 points you get 4% Crit which is much better (not that we have the talent points to spend anyways! Unless you don’t take cloudburst then you can avoid totemic recall)
Was looking for a Resto shaman guide, before season 4 started.
Glad I seen this real easy to understand.

The ward trinket on PTR scaled with vers and was shielding for like 850k, external acquired
How important is keeping and using Tidal Waves procs? I didn't hear a mention to that in this.

They gotta bring back Vesper.

And being forced to play Unleash Life sucks balls...

@@DonkeystormGaming yeah i am best at holy priest but now they want a shaman lol

yeah I feel like priest is better at ST emergencies and shaman is better at full group@@KennyFalmouth506

Great vid. Keep it up. Love your thoughts on TWW. Also you do any vids on Cata Classic for Shaman ?

I feel like my chain heal is WAY more effective than my Primordial wave heal combo. Im thinking about speccing away from it. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the video, restro shaman is my main for season 4 :)
Great guide -Thx alot. Hope you can find the time to make a raid version as well😊
Just healed a 4 on my shaman, we didnt time it due to butt pulling mage BUT i am having major mana issues... suggestions?
stop spamming chain heal, and stop using totems you don't reallllly need to be using. That's the trick.

do you think Healing stream totem will be viable as i dont like cloudburst?

why didnt you grab the talent to increase healing of cloudburst / healing stream

If you think shaman has mana issue now you shoulda played classic! So much easier now to manage mana
If only we had something like Chain Harvest instead of PriWave. Still maining rshammy tho.
They got to remove those charges on Earthshield it doesn't make any sense in 2024.
I Always been rshaman plus always strugling to play which healer after that, with all respect to all healer classes, but shaman is s.th else
Odd not to mention Astral Shift.
Go 2c2 with this specialisation you are dead before the game
2c2?
