One of the best sounding and looking subs on the market!
I didn't realize how beefy these little subs are. I'm loving the new design
I like the back of your car trunk setup how your amps are set up and everything
Those new Meso 8s are sweet!
They definitely are sweet!
I’ve noticed you run aero and slot ports. Any reason you pick one over the other?
I usually run a single 12 but have been wanting to try a couple 8’s. I have a ground zero that came in a box that looks like it’s maybe .6 cf and turned around 48. Thinking about building a better box and seeing how it sounds.
For meso 8, .75 net, 15 inches port area per sub, and 39hz.
I run both because i have experience with both. I much prefer slot port because it's hard to get an aero to fit some places. Hence the dual 4 inch on thr other box i made. They're short. And i prefer to vent on the same side as the baffle unless the situation calls for something different. Bottom line is port legnth. For small boxes, ports are long. So they can gold easily being a slot. Aero ports generally need a lot of volume to get the port length shorter. Otherwise the tuning will be too high on a smaller box with a shorter port. Its constantly a balancing act
Thanks for the reply. I ended up doing a 1 cube slot port tuned to 35. I want to say 16 or 18 port area. Either way it’s less than 3db from the 12. 131.7 on music in an suv
@@ATCA usually is goes per cubic foot not per sub isnt it
I have a pair of ZVX 8s new in box to put in my car. Came across these. Now debating which ones would perform better
I noticed a difference on the bottom plate. there is more cooling. the older version only had pole venting as to where the newer version has pole and gap venting. So they should be able to handle heat more efficiently. I got me the new exo and man was I surprised to how giant that sub is. I cannot wait to have it installed and see what that bad boy can do
Been running my meso 8sbfor about 2 months now. They are truly amazing!
And my exo video is coming soon
@@ATCA oh man, I can't wait to see that video. Lmk what your 1st impressions are when you have it playing for the 1st time. Also what amp you have pushing it and the box specs so ik more less what to shoot for on my box
@@tripnit559 so my video will be on the box specs in particular. No amp yet for it. They new AT 3k is coming out soon. Ill probably get that
@@ATCA I didn't even realize I Commented on your other video. The one where you unboxed the exo sub lol nice
Wow!!!!!
love it
What’s the subwoofer height?
7.5"
@@ATCA thanks for the reply but I guess I should’ve asked the mounting depth 🥴
Was that speaker mechanical noise or just something vibrating in your trunk?
Just my trunk
I need a box like that for my Skar ZVX-8
Lets do it
Crazy how the new model looks like it has less cone area. Wonder how much the surround takes up compared to the older model
So i actually modeled this. And from what I can tell, the lower cone area i made up for in increased Xmax. Ive ran the old meso and now the hew meso. There's actually a gain from the old to the new. Same enclosure. Same power.
I have the new version of the 15 and it gets down
I only have the 8s and the 10s :/
Praise Please

10 minute video to show a new boot and tensile. Could have been a 1:30 video
If you don't have anything constructive to offer, why say anything?
What do you mean? That is constructive. Make the video less long to hold the viewer attention instead of boring them to death 💀
