Also, in the iron/relics program, what is your thinking for using a 1-55 discrimination-in (an almost all-metal setting) and 29 tone break? I'm just asking to get your total approach to how you settled on the settings. Since there are only two wide ranges with only two tones, doesn't it require a lot of screen watching instead of digging by tones? Thanks.
It permits you to hear the iron which in turn helps to locate home sites. Hearing the iron also amplifies the higher conductors mixed in without falsing. Disc out 55-60 eliminates falsing from the top end, but the low volume grunt on the low end keep u hearing what you don't want to dig.
Thank you. I appreciate you replying and I have been playing with it. It does a great job separating targets, even with the low recovery speed. I have also found it gives low grunts for the lowest signals and a bit higher grunts for higher numbers
I do have a video on my channel that goes through the settings. It was released before this one. It also has a gold thumbnail and has "LEGEND" written right through the middle. Good luck.
Hi Jason, question for you - in the pro coin settings it showed everything 35-55 discriminated in but at the end of the video on the legend you had 38-55 discriminated in. Just wondering what the difference may be? Thank you in advance. I found my first large cents with these programs 👌
No problem. I was starting to get lots of bits of similar debris that was just squeezing through into the 36-37's, so I eliminated it within that specific search area, and then when I moved out of that area, I went back to the 35-55. A lot of the early LC's hit 35 36's, and I would hate to miss those. Way too much trash falls below the 35 level and 98% of our old coins and tokens peek over the 35 threshold. GL & HH
There are no values for threshold because that is based on one's personal hearing preferences. The setting that you should use, is a setting where the threshold (hum in the background while detecting) is barely audible. Thanks for the question. Wishing you the best of luck and let me know how it goes! Cheers
Correct. A lot of trash will be dug when looking for nickels. The ratio of trash to nickels would be in favour of the trash; thus, a nickel would be comprised to avoid a lot of trash being dug.

Love the pro iron setting works so smoothly, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Can you make a video on how to set up the pro coin program.
Great finds! I haven’t found one of those valve stem covers…… yet. Agree with your comment about chasing the sketchy ones.
Thank you i am going to try your settings hopefully tomorrow if the rain holds off.
You has quite a day, for a short hunt! Love the silver and largie!❤
Thanks 👍

Can you do an actual video showing on the legend how to set up your settings?

I see values for threshold frequency but not threshold, does that mean threshold is 0. Thanks for sharing!

With your coin set up you could miss some nickels they are little below 35 VDI

The ETRAC is a great machine 100%.
Hi. When you say Discriminate 35-55 in the settings. What units do you actually set please
Everything is discriminated out other than from 35-55.
