I think it's perfectly clever genius if anyone cares about my opinion. Probably don't but figured I'd leave a comment here. I appreciate you sharing your inspiring creativity with the rest of us amateurs!
I love this toolbox!! I’m gonna try to make one of my own soon - love the idea of a place for each tool. I think I’ll paint mine purple lol cause it’s my box and I’ll paint it any color I want to. 😀❤️
Got a 5.5 ish shelf along my stairs n it’s a mess. Sometimes stuff fall n I gotta stop n pick it up right away. Really got to build something specific for me. Will probably use the wall above n put French cleats
Hey WM, nice to see you back, nice tool box set up, don't take it on easyjet it'll be overweight ;-) are you a handyman by any chance. Great viddy, made me laugh as usual. Cheers for the upload. Lee
I do like it would like to make 1 with my son to keep his tools in that he started to get he loves wood work and is only 6 years old have u any plans please to help me out
Nice box! Do you have a brand or source for your little wacky-whacky tappy-tappy hammer? (I also desperately want the plans for the tool caddy itself, but I see from other comments that they never existed).
A rather late reply but the little hammer is a rolson available at the "Range" I believe or off of that internet thingy too. No plans I'm afraid just made it up as I went
Make your own plans and then you will have Frank Sinatra satisfaction. "Did it MY way." My box has it's own little workbench. And a so far useless patent.
Great tool caddy, but naritive very annoying with all the silly school boy voice changes, puts me off wanting to watch more of your video's, which is a shame, just saying.👍👍
Wow! That is a really nice and functional toolbox. I'm working on my own with this as inspiration. what are the dimensions (LxWxH) approximately? Keep up the good work 🙏🔥
Awesome. Gave me a ton of ideas for something I want to build for my tool bag. If you can, show some of your other set ups for your truck or shop, etc. Would love to see them !
the thing i liked most of all was your satisfaction - a good build solution is functional, and a nonstop yum, uplifting and inspiring each time it is used.👍😃
THAT'S THE STUPIDEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN! /s. Well, you asked for an abusive comment now didn't you? Actually love it, especially your color choice, have fine art experience and it works well. Only drawback being the labor intensive aspect but then it's intrinsically rewarding to do this sort of work. Which I have also done.
Been thinking of making a couple of wood tool boxes, for different applications like electrical, carpentry and plumbing so it would be possible to find what im looking for. Still prefer those old connectors over the modern snappy snappy ones do you?
Nice idea. If you want to lighten things up further look into Foam PVC sheet stock for the non-structural parts like tool holders and internal dividers. It’s a very common product used in the sign industry. The MDF you used is unnecessarily heavy
This has replaced my tool bag for a few reasons, I couldn't fit all of these tools in it, I would have to rummage around in the central section and I think this looks better
I know the feeling of wanting to over engineer things and then finding it's a bit heavy.! Just for people who think you cant go lite, I made a wooden tool box over 30 years ago which is my main tool box, it is made out of 9mm and 6mm birch ply. Butt joints and glue with a few nails. I had some of those spring loaded wrenches you are trying. Not for me, too heavy and can't get them into small places, I would replace yours with a set of Knipex Cobra pliers.(one of the most useful tools ever.) Stanley knife replacement, have a look at a Dolphin knife, the favourite of carpet fitters everywhere. The are excellent quality. As for folding knifes, the Jewel Blade Pro Fold is the lightest on the market. Axminster tools sell them. If I could help to lighten your load, replace the C clamps with something lighter. Ouch they are heavy. Thanks for sharing, we all pick up a tip from watching others. Edit: If you go or anyone else has a look at the Jewel knife at Axminster tools, have a look at the Vaughan Little Pro hammer. Same idea as yours, you don't need a heavy hammer 99% of the time.
Ingenious layout. Good one for tool tote manufacturers to copy. Tempted to make one myself. Thanks!
Welcome back, nicely organized tool box Sir, I will think of it next time I cannot find what I want in my tool box!
Happy rummaging
I think it's perfectly clever genius if anyone cares about my opinion. Probably don't but figured I'd leave a comment here. I appreciate you sharing your inspiring creativity with the rest of us amateurs!
Thank you for your comment and I'm glad you like it
and I thought the modular tool boxes were something. WOW. You got em all beat. What a piece of art that is.
Thank you
the drawers on bottom is something i havent seen before. pretty awesome idea
Loved this a lot. You need do back your van tour.
I may well do that
Bit of practical fun old mate. Only wish you did a video making of it. But useful all the same.
for the shorty hammer - try adding a rubber crutch tip to make it into a soft touch non-marring hammer.
Im a sparky and am completely over these cloth and plastic totes and caddies that just don't work well. This is exactly what I'm thinking of
Feel free to steel any of the design that's what the video is there for. Goog luck and happy building
very entertaining and great build
Great little box. I’m wanting to do one for the Dewalt tough system boxes for my electrical tools.
I have a drill and driver in a tough system box they are strong quality boxes
I love this toolbox!! I’m gonna try to make one of my own soon - love the idea of a place for each tool. I think I’ll paint mine purple lol cause it’s my box and I’ll paint it any color I want to. 😀❤️
Good for you, paint it whatever colour you want it's your tool box make it a symbol of your individuality and your belief in personal freedom
Got a 5.5 ish shelf along my stairs n it’s a mess. Sometimes stuff fall n I gotta stop n pick it up right away. Really got to build something specific for me. Will probably use the wall above n put French cleats
How?! Why it was you and not me who invented it?!
Great project! Thank you!
Brilliant thanks

@@woodenmonkey6447 Nice one, I run a Painting & Decorating company for my sins :-( pays the bills. Till your next one. Lee
I do like it would like to make 1 with my son to keep his tools in that he started to get he loves wood work and is only 6 years old have u any plans please to help me out
No plans unfortunately because I made it up as I went along and everybody's tool kit is different
very good I'm impressed you should do a how to make it lol
Love it!
Nice box!

Great idea!! Did you use wood glue or something else to join the tool inserts?
Just good old pva wood glue
Hi, do you have plans availlable? Its great!!!
I didn't use any plans I just made it up as I went along
Make your own plans and then you will have Frank Sinatra satisfaction. "Did it MY way." My box has it's own little workbench. And a so far useless patent.
This is one of the best tool box👍
Make a new one (for clicks) and sell me this one. Please!
GOOD IDEA THANKS

Very cool although you speak so annoyingly because you remind me of my father in law lol
Your father in law sounds like a magnificent man and I would like to meet him
Great tool caddy, but naritive very annoying with all the silly school boy voice changes, puts me off wanting to watch more of your video's, which is a shame, just saying.👍👍
Thanks for the feedback...... that I will completely ignore. Does your device not have a volume button?
@@woodenmonkey6447 I liked the narration. just sayin'
Any man that wears a ring on his index finger is questionable...mid life crisis?...a great tool box,but your annoying voices...
Me, I enjoyed the silly schoolboy voices.
Love the commentary, some folks can take it all a tad too seeeereeeeously
Wow! That is a really nice and functional toolbox. I'm working on my own with this as inspiration. what are the dimensions (LxWxH) approximately? Keep up the good work 🙏🔥

I WANT TO BUY
Awesome. Gave me a ton of ideas for something I want to build for my tool bag.
If you can, show some of your other set ups for your truck or shop, etc. Would love to see them !
I would love to show you my workshop but it is that full of "useful" stuff some people would describe it as a mess
@@woodenmonkey6447 nothing has the storage efficiency of a cluttered drawer
Do you have a drawing, blue-print like ? For people that want to build one for them self. best design I’ve seen.
I'm afraid not, I did a simple scribble of the basic layout then made the rest up as I went along
Hand the tool box over...Im so flipin Jealous...
You will have to prise it from my cold dead hands
Looks great. I liked it, but I was distracted looking for your hammer.
It's in there, it's only a mini hammer so you might of missed it
Love it ... I'm gonna build myself one of those ... Thanks for sharing it with us 😃👍
I would like to see it when it is finished unless it looks better than mine
the thing i liked most of all was your satisfaction - a good build solution is functional, and a nonstop yum, uplifting and inspiring each time it is used.👍😃

You can trust the old tried and tested connectors
Box is as good as the commentary x
Love it! .. it works!!👍

A good idea for anyone wanting to make one for themselves
Very well done!!
Brilliant 😂
Very cool ! So are you a kitchen fitter handyman carpenter thinymebobber
That is exactly what I am, we do pretty much everything hence the wide range of tools
Amazing work!
"Nuthin fancy heah".. Pretty darn fancy bud!! 🙌
Nice to hear, thanks
Why did you choose to use a tool box over a tool bag?
This has replaced my tool bag for a few reasons, I couldn't fit all of these tools in it, I would have to rummage around in the central section and I think this looks better
Great job

Stanley chisels are amazing
Mine are 24 years old
Liked it, but would like to know the total weight
It's been a while since I made this video but I thought I said the total weight? It's about twenty six kilogrammes
I've just checked and I do say that the total weight is 21.3 kg
this is brilliant. well done and thank you for sharing! :-) Jamie
Thank you, it often gets admired by other tradesmen on site
One word....awesome!!!!!
One word for you...thanks
Nice!
