Rest in peace to those companies, governments, & organizations who’ve wasted time, money, & resources into slowing down or halting the EV transition to maintain the Oil Status Quo. You get what you deserve!🌎🍃 Only the hens who did the baking get to enjoy the bread.
Unless all these countries championing EVs invest in extensive charging stations, EVs will only remain a niche. Yes, it is a great idea to buy an EV but you must also have a way for to charge quickly. Those oil stations better have at least one charger lying around else range anxiety will become a issue. Developing nations are suffering from this challenge. Developed nations are also suffering from implementation problems.

And I know you question about time but with evolving technology we can charge car or bike in 15 mins so eventough our population is dense our local communities and apartments can be set up with ev charging stations with fraction of amounts. So we never know whats gonna happen

1) a) Indian winters are not as harsh as American winters. Except high mountains & Ladakh pleateu only North Indian plains get to see the morning temperature reach upto PLUS FOUR degree Celsius, that too for less than a month. b) our winter days last 10 hours , not 4-5 hours. 2) there is no place 'far away' in India. Furthermore , our people would stop & pull out their time , even leaving something important , to help a stranger stuck somewhere - without him needing to ask. ( We are not Americans with the animalistic selfishness " that's your problem, not mine." )
Repairs & maintenance - EVs basically need lubrication only. Our EVs are functional ; not loaded with 1000 useless features, where the probability of one or the other giving a problem is high.
EVs are the future. Battery cost is dropping fast, it is predicted to go down as 60$/kWh in 2026. The cost of EVs will be on par with ICE. With lower maintenance and running costs . EVs will be a natural choice. Ten years down the line ICE vehicles will be something only purists will buy. To add, I don't know the situation in the west. But here in India costs of EVs are coming down. They have lower tax and maintenance costs. Some manufacturers give 8 years or 1,60,000 Km battery warranty, so no battery worries. Also govt is planning to make a charging station possible every 20Km. PS: I'm also planning to upgrade from my 8 year old Punto evo to an EV. Most possibly a Tata Nexon or MG Windsor. My only confusion is to buy now or wait a few months for the upgraded version.
To be successful in a country like India the car must be affordable .
No
Low quality and low standards!
@@freddymercury2259being affordable does not mean being inferior .
60% of all cars sold last month in India are SUVs. So I don't think being affordable is that much of a thing, but more like quality matters.

Isn't MG a chinese company?
Seems like a PAID PROMOTION, but if its pro-technology and pro-growth, I am optimistic for more players to be joining the space.
I mean, they'll mostly focus on the India market. They'll try to lower the cost probably.
Its not about pouring billions. Its about getting things done.

Solar panel industries a big gold mine in India waiting to explode.
We don't have any target of transition from engines to EVs in India.
All we have is subsidies, No charging infrastructure no localisation of EVs..

For EV's, India need charging infrastructure which it lacks currently.

India should concentrate supplying electric first , still many rural areas don't have electricity
No I'm from Arizona
I believe there will be a time in future when Indian companies will start over taking companies abroad
They are already doing that. Look around and you will see.
Allready started, UK companies are taking over by rich indians.
Indian bike companies are at the top in Africa in terms of two wheelers
EV revolution is going to fail, especially in India, due to poor infrastructure.
Unless prices for EV's are rationalised the car makers can't hope to achieve what they can.

MG is a Chinese company, not British. Make sure you have all facts before you make a purchase
This is the only reason I would support an EV, to reduce dependency on oil. While there are other alternatives like hydrogen cars.
