We are using Horizons Math. My daughter loves this curriculum! The teacher's guide is amazing and starts each lesson off with easy, hand-on activities, which is great because she is a kinesthetic learner. The workbook is colorful but not distracting. I know a lot of moms use this with just the workbook, but I really think they are missing out on so much more. The teacher's guide is the most important part of the curriculum. She loves math, which is great because it's my least liked subject. 🙂

Haha I love that your daughter loves math. I have to look into Horizon math, I'm not sure I've seen it before. Thank you for sharing 🧡

Math definitely needs a gentle approach in our home. We work at our kids pace. It's not about grade levels.

Math is definitely a tricky subject and should be taken time. My daughter loves writing, reading, and literature, math not so much. We are using Abeka 4 but I do supplement with XtraMath and a lot of games. The white board has been our best friend for math this year too. 😍

Yes! I love using the white board and games are so helpful. I will have to look into XtraMath. Thank you for sharing 🧡

My 5 year old was an early reader, picking up on it quickly in preschool. I didn't think math was her thing. But she has really surprised me this Kindergarten year! She has been doing very well in math and asks to do it everyday- mainly because she loves playing with manipulatives. But I'll take it lol. Reading has actually seemed to regress a bit, and she doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as she did in the beginning. But I continue to read to her and try to follow her lead on how far she wants to take each lesson each day. It's hard for me as a very rigid type A planning personality.

Hi, girl. So happy with your philosophy and the way you approach things in educating your babies. We are using primary mathematics 2022 edition level 3 . I got to say we are loving it.

I’m currently using level k with the good and the beautiful( the old version). I didn’t like the long lessons and all the manipulative’s at first, but I started breaking the lessons up into two day lessons which really helped me as well!
I’m also using teaching textbooks for my 5th grader. He didn’t like math before starting this program. Now it’s the fun part of his day. And it took a lot of pressure off me. I don’t have to teach the lessons or grade anything.

Oh nice... I love the many alternatives to make it more palpable for parents and kiddos. I will have to look into teaching textbooks. Thank you for sharing🧡

Love this recap week! My youngest is using the new Simply Good & Beautiful Math and really enjoying it. My oldest is really strong in math but also enjoys it (I think mostly because he can be more independent - he’s using level 4), though we are also using the new Singapore Primary Mathematics 2022 curriculum. We are new to Singapore math and having a tough time choosing just one right now, so math is a struggle to balance. I do think it might be best to have this one subject covered daily. Will try that and see how it goes. Thanks!☺️

I love hearing reviews on the new Simply Math curriculum. We're leaning to purchasing the third grade, but I also have heard so many good things from Singapore math as well. Thank you so much for sharing 🧡
