Simple Studies are so great when you need to simplify things! We’re currently doing North American Animals and Heroes & Hope.
Would for sure love to see the binders! Math is definitely a subject that we also have to pause and evaluate whether we need to take it slower. Sounds like you guys are in a good rhythm 💛
I have just started LL with my 2nd grader and we are really loving it! I began using it with my 4th grader at the beginning of the year, but decided to move onto something else. Several reasons, but though he is a great reader, he just doesn’t enjoy it much. I also think he needed something with a bit more writing instruction, so hoping to tweak a bit and pick back up next year when he may be more ready for it.
We had plans to use Fervor but I honestly wasn’t able to fit any history in this go round. Looking forward to diving into the full curriculum next school year if possible!

I like how you slowed down in math and took your time until Zoe got it. Math has been our struggle as well this year. We used addition facts that stick and have completed half of subtraction facts that stick along with addition and subtraction videos. I really want her to get a great foundation before we move on to carrying and also multiplication, etc. It seems like math just moves so fast for us.
It's easy to get wrapped up in the subject that comes easiest. Learning to pay more attention to ones that aren't can hopefully turn it around. Math is a tricky one for-sure. Thank you for watching.
