On one of Sorin's videos he had exactly the same problem with the same or similar Acer Nitro laptop which turned out to be a drop of water which went through a plastic vented area which didn't cover that particular chip (Super IO) - Strangely enough it was the only chip exposed to air due to the design of the back plastic cover. He reflowed it and it worked. You may have to get in real close to see if any of the chips have water damage.
@@JFIXX1 Another thing to try is unplugging any power button ribbon cables or connections, then jump starting the laptop with tweezers by connecting two pins at the main power AC in jack - Faulty power buttons can be deceptive, but produce these symptoms.
@@billyjames9861 I showed on the video the PWR Button is part of they keyboard connector and it seems to be functioning normally. I have the motherbaord completely out now and have tried shorting it to ground it's doing the same
Hi mate, I like the probes that you have.Where did you get them from, and how much do they cost? And the Hanteck Lab Power Supply it looks trustworthy I am electrical engineer and I have started to get involved with electronics ( I used to hate it)😆. Excellent video by the way. Well done. Ares from London
I am getting into the electronics as well really enjoying it ! s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Ewa1cm3 Here is a link for the probes they were only cheap but doing there job nicely! So far so good with the power supply.
You did a lot in this video. Did you check all the rails for shorts? A lot of these gaming laptops have a shorted or dead super io, gpu, or cpu which kills them.
Yes there seems to be no short but I can double check everything. If there was a short I think it would be much easier to identify for fault. It's also difficult because it only stays on for a very short amount of time so not enough to check if all voltages are coming up on CPU GPU etc. I didn't want to make this video any longer but I'm still working on it
Moreover, if you could can improve the sound that would be great. The sound is poor and there I have to increase the volume on my speakers to hear you very well. Cheers.
Thankyou for your feedback I am using a new microphone but I'm also not happy with it! Please bear with me as I'm a new channel I will be investing in better production

@@billyjames9861 That makes sense yes I will try and watch his video could be a common place to fail
@@JFIXX1 Title of Sorin's vid which has the same blue light symptom:- Acer Laptop, power on and off, wow, top end back case design

Where can I get the diagrams you have? I have the same laptop, same problem, but different motherboard.

Have you got another super IO chip ?
@@Electricworld-1 No I don't have it I could buy one and try it if you think it could be a problem
no good
