    About the uploading question at the end. Im not a youtuber but ive constantly heard and seen that the youtube algorithm prioritises consistancy over quantity. So its better to upload on a periodic basis and perferably weekly over anything, since many youtubers complain that they stopped uploading for a while or missed their usual upload period and fell out of the recommedation algorithm because of it.

      @JFIXX1 Could you make a video demonstrating how to connect this hpd 4424 source to the computer. As you did via the network. I have one here in Brazil and I'm not able to communicate between the source and the software application. As is the source, it is selling a lot here in Brazil. I had issue with USB connection! I spent many hours trying to get it working but failed. With USB I couldnt see the unit in the Keysight tool. I tried an older version of the keysight connection tool and it will see the USB connection ok however the HPD4000 application doesn't open I click the icon and it does nothing... I am using windows 11 and also tried windows 10 and even windows 7 and I get the same behaviour. There must be some kind of runtime that is installed with the newer keysight suite that there software requires... Using the ethernet connection is the only way I could get the software working. I did reach out to Hantek and they were very helpful and they tried to support me but for them it works and they sent me screenshots showing it was working but I am still not able to resolve it on my machine. If you find a way to get USB working please let me know. I was thinking that USB connection will be quicker with less delay than the Ethernet interface

    I’ve had my heart set on an AiXun T420D for a couple years now but I haven’t been able to save the money. I really wasn’t expecting issues like the DIN mismatch from a soldering station that costs so much. If this is what you get from a dual channel JBC clone, maybe it is better to go with a used single channel JBC after all.

    • @JFIXX1

    Thank you, i've been looking at this one for a few months now. There are models with two leds on gooseneck thingies. It looks awful and I thought why would someone want to have that. But after seeing your review, that might actually be the best solution there is. I would never have thought about the problem with the reading of the tiny letters that it is washed out by the light. A brand which makes this things knows that as well you would say. Anywho, thanks for the review. There weren't any when this hit the marked and I immediately thought it would be interesting for me. I want to use it for electronics/leds and model building/painting. I really would like to do more with the combination of those things, for instance soldering tiny leds on model buildings or fairground attractions. But that is so freakingly tiny nowadays that I think this would be the best solution. And perhaps I'll make UA-cam videos about it, then that function would come in very handy too.

      @@JFIXX1 Yeah, saw that one from TomLov, which is exactly the same. I am so in doubt right now. Ali Express has this one with the regular stand for 146 euros for sale. That is an amazing price and under 150 euro (incl free shipping), where we in The Netherlands need to start to pay extra import taxes and so on. So it's 146 euro and that's it. The one with the arm, the flex, costs the same but has 82 euro shipping costs 😞 So thats 230 together and then the import duties add another 20%, so it's end up costing me almost 280 which is double the amount of the regular stand! But the flex would be so much better haha

    • @alexanderpasnl

      @@JFIXX1 That weird, I reacted but now I don't see my reaction any more. I am terribly in doubt right now, since Ali Express has this microscope now for sale for 146 euro incl. free shipping. Since that is under 150 euro, I don't need to pay extra import taxes from around 17-20% in The Netherlands. Due to back to school actions, it'll even come down to 134 euro which is a steal! But unfortunately it's the one with the regular/small stand. The flex costs the same, but has 82 euro shipping costs... is 230 + added taxes will be around 280 and it will be delivered in... end of October! Oh my. That's double the price and two months longer shipping than the standard version. Even looked at buying the arm separately, but then the arm alone costs an extra 120 euros. On one hand I already thought it'll cost me around 300 and I was fine with that and it gives me a lot of freedom with the flex arm. On the other hand... the exact same microscope for less than 50% of that price.I don't know if I can justify those extra costs to myself.

      very important to only use putty on laptops that came with putty from the factory as thermal pads will not be efficient enough. I have an older version of that Mechanics plunger. The thumb knob is a bit smaller and tends to screw off at importune moments. Another thing that I noticed is that it got smeared with flux because apparently the orange seal is not completely tight anymore on the industrial syringe that my flux came with. Easy enough to clean off with a paper towel with some IPA, so not an issue. They are lightweight and quite rigid; good quality. I've also bought one with a handle on the side, but the amount of control was disappointing. On top of that you have to adjust the bolt depth manually as the flux gets depleted. Nice idea, but does not work well in practice. When you grind up rosin, be sure to filter it, so that any remaining debris will not clog up your nozzle in the future.

It's also difficult because it only stays on for a very short amount of time so not enough to check if all voltages are coming up on CPU GPU etc. I didn't want to make this video any longer but I'm still working on it

    Hi mate, I like the probes that you have.Where did you get them from, and how much do they cost? And the Hanteck Lab Power Supply it looks trustworthy I am electrical engineer and I have started to get involved with electronics ( I used to hate it)😆. Excellent video by the way. Well done. Watch this for a thermal camera: Guide IR PC230, it starts up very quickly has fluid video and works perfectly. Bench multimeter: Vici vc8145. Maybe not the most beautiful but cheap and a very fast diode/beeping mode. Accurate enough for laptop, motherboard repairs Kester for solder and chip quick for flux Maybe some uv mask and uv curing lamp will come in handy.

    Looks like a fairly decent PSU The only _feature_ of any significance that is missing is that it doesn't seem to have '4-wire' (kelvin?) mode on each channel. (4-wire mode is quite useful for me to eliminate voltage droop on the cabling if the load is quite heavy). I'd like to see you perform a 'load test' on this PSU across the FULL output voltage range. Some PSUs don't do a very good job of regulation when the output is low voltage at max current! Also, I'd like to see you test how many taps there are on each channels transformer winding. My PSU uses 10VAC, 20VAC and 30VAC (nominal). The more taps it has, the less heat needs to be dissipated internally at the lower end of each winding. (Imagine setting it to 12VDC at the full 3A. It uses the 20VAC winding giving you 20 * 1.414 = 28V input (nominal) into the series regulator.. At the full 3A, this means the series regulator needs to dissipate the difference (28V - 12V = 16V) at 3A so it's wasting 48W as heat! More transformer taps -> less internal heat generation. (The _NEXT_ PSU I build will have winding taps every 5V)

      Im guessing it would need a second rear pannel output to be able to put it in 4 wire kelvin mode but it doesnt have this. I have just purchased a DC load so at some point i will try and do a teardown and some load testing

    • @trevorvanbremen4718
      @trevorvanbremen4718 4 місяці тому

      @@JFIXX1 I'm guessing that my own personal requirements for a PSU are a little 'tighter' than the more common (a.k.a. 'affordable') units. I required a clean (hence linear) PSU that could deliver quite a decent current (5 amps) at precise low voltages (below 2V) where the actual load could vary SIGNIFICANTLY within a very short time period. The closest commercial unit I could find (HP 6600 series) completely blew my budget , so I had to roll my own. Still, it'd be great if you to do a teardown and load-test so that OTHER people could better judge how good this supply is before buying one. Keep up the good work!

    For the T115 6-pin vs 7-pin: I just checked on my model and my right-side base holder does have a 6-pin female connector to connect to the 6-pin male connector of the T115 handle. I did have an issue with Aixun at first where they sent a different tip-cleaner than I ordered (I received the metal bristle thing instead of the brass wire with splash guard). It took a bit of back and forth with Aixun, and at first they sent the wrong part (the white plastic connector to join the two handle holders), but after I sent them pictures circling and pointing to what was missing they sent the right part. I'm pretty sure the problem is due to computer translation from English to Chinese.

      Thankyou that helps a lot ! So it was the station not the handle that was the issue ! I did suspect that but as you say sometimes the communication is a problem
