I gotta admit, I was not into these customs SAKS at first but the amount of effort and customization you put into your work is amazing. You gotta new subscriber buddy, keep up the great work!
Well... The pocket clip is good as far as a clip goes, but if you are referring to the large size of the tool, then yeah it may be a bit large to carry via pocket clip.
Happy Monday FTS , seasons greetings, wishing you & family a Merry Christmas. Maestro you have once again created a masterpiece ! Your knife puts the outdated & cumbersome Swiss Champ to shame & from today the Champ needs to be retired to an old age home! You have covered all the bases with actual useful tools for a carriable 21st Century SAK except perhaps a mini-Nespresso coffee maker or a solar panel powered mobile phone charger !
Hello and Merry Christmas to you too! Thank you kind sir! I appreciate it. Hmmm... I need to find a way to add a Nespresso coffee machine. 🤔 That would really be handy. 🤣🤣
Hello! A really dandy build! I don't know how to think of it - as the "Big Boy" or "Big Red"...Maybe the latter as red is my favorite color...like the blade assortment and it's beefy look...its meant to be used like the original, but it looks so much better...This is just nitpicking :))....could the attachments on the corkscrew be in red as well? Good job!
Love the pocket clip scales!!! Such a great idea 🤯 On a personal question. How difficult would be to change the scales you put on mines (electric dragonox scalpel) with those? (if they are even available. 😂)
Awesome! Replacing the scales isn't super difficult. You'd need to carefully pry your current scales off, clean all of the old epoxy off, apply fresh epoxy, and snap the new scales on.
Have you replaced the main blade in a Compact with a spyderco blade? Wondering if it would interfere with the access to the scissors on the compact. Either way, which blade, the dragonfly or the robin creates less interference?
I have done a blade swap in a Compact and it does interfere with the access to the scissors. Both the Dragonfly and the Byrd interfere. A cool fix for that though is to use scissors from a 93mm. They fit without any modifications and the nail nick is on the other side.
I have a dragonfly 2 and I barely use it. But I'd love to get a swiss army knife multitool and get that blade in there. How easy would it be to move over? Would I have to file it down or would it just fit in the way it is. If so which is the thinnest swiss multitool that I can go with?
Adding a Dragonfly to a Swiss Army knife requires quite a bit of modification. You would need to modify an old scissor layer and the Dragonfly needs to be modified too. You could add as many layers as you wanted/have to make it as thick or thin as you want.
I'm all hyper about this... Bro I'm from India.. I just love your channel. I had seen so many mod but it's not like your channel unlike other channels your channel its the best . I'm sure you would find a way...
Not sure about that. Once those SAK get above 5 layers they start to become more novelty than useful. I do like what you do with the spyderco blade, titanium scales and liners. Not a fan of pocket clips really. Even where they work well and are practical, lightweight para 3 is a good example, I still don't like them. I use one of those pocket clips that go on the split ring on my Farmer X. They just allow you to reach the knife without going into your pocket. I've a Cyber Tool M or 34 which would look great with a single dragon fly blade. Not sure how that would work out, main blade looks like its on the wrong side of the frame to just replace. I think the can opener and bottle opener would need switched around. Obviously Ive no idea what I am talking about and would be better buying one from yourself. Would that be possible?
I do know what you mean. Once a SAK gets too thick, it is too big to be used or carried conveniently. The Spyderco blade can be moved to the right side of the knife, it takes more modifications though and the original blade layer along with the corkscrew would have to be removed. Check out my website to see more of my work and for information on how to order one. As a heads-up, my waiting list is about 30 weeks currently. My website: www.f2scustoms.com If you'd like to see a see a modified version where the Spyderco is on the right side, check out build No. 113: f2scustoms.com/builds-83-123/build-113
@@FittoSurvive Thanks for the quick response. A custom SAK wouldn't be something I would see myself actually using. I know LOL. So it might actually suit me having the replacement spyderco blade on the left, that's where that main blade is anyway so its probably fine there? I will check out your site. I would most likely be putting a knife like that in a safe place so a 30 week wait would hardly matter. That would give me plenty of time to think of an excuse as to why I need another knife.

Yes, it is a new design. Turned out really well too I must say.
Great job, as always, and one lucky guy or girl that gets to keep that one 😊

Big Red is a cool name. 🤣👍🏻
Yeah, it is big and beefy for sure.
Yes, there is a red mini tool for the corkscrew, but it is a sim card pin.
awesome video... can you use a G10 layer that can glow in the dark
I have actually searched for luminous liners, but have found any yet.

Hey can you do a evogrip s17 with a dragonfly blade .. That would be awesome. Since it has lockable blade..
I have not made one yet. So, I am not sure if the Spyderco blade could be made to be lockable. But, I assume that it should work.

How about creating a multitool with no blades or bottle opener or can opener and no scissors. Then you can call it the fly with the airlines multitool
Check out the videos on my channel. I have two videos showing Travel friendly builds.
its clear what blade will stay sharp and what will be used for the dirty tasks haha

What in the heck would you clip this thing to
