Biz, you've got to check out the story of SRV and Stephen Tobolowsky. ST is an actor you've seen around (Groundhog Day!). SRV and ST grew up in the same neighborhood in Texas when SRV was a teen, and ST had a band.........
Had this dvd back in the day until I wore it out 🎸 the concert was from ‘83 and in Toronto. Lenny is an awesome instrumental he wrote for his wife Lenora. Third Stone From the Sun was another Hendrix cover 🔥
The thing about Stevie that was so remarkable BEYOND just his passion and emotion was his playing was absolutely FLAWLESS. He rarely missed a note which is even more astounding given the ferocity and intensity he played with. Dude was a walking cheat code.
Stevie was such a gift. A couple tracks he did with others should be checked out. Don't stop by the creek son with Johnny Copeland and If you have to know with Lonnie Mack. Other Texas Blues greats to check out, Johnny Winter, Albert Collins. Love your channel.
The young stevie until he got clean used to play covers and some of his, but the latest stevie became a great songwriter but unfortunately he died in the crash
You should react to some of his official videos like Cold Shot, Superstition and House Is Rocking. Besides being a great guitar player he was also a character. Oh and Love Struck, Change It
This reminds me of old school Texas Swing...like a refreshing palate cleanser between the scorching blues set he laid down at the El Mocambo. He wrote, sang, and performed the sh#t out of Ain't Gone n Give Up on Love" at the Capital Theatre...great video. My opinion...its his most mature and torchy blues cut. His vocals are superb and the guitar break has no equal. And there's few women that don't get profoundly rocked by this performance.
hey I was at the El Mocambo around this time but not for this show. As I remember it the place was shaped like a shoebox. The door was at one end and the stage was on the right at the back along the side facing left. This takes me back man, thanks.

The one NOBODY reacts to is him playing with Albert King, Paul Butterfield, and B. B. King. It is outstanding!
GOAT .., HANDS DOWN. NO ONE BETTER
Stevie could perform so many different types of music...and do it well.
The young stevie until he got clean used to play covers and some of his, but the latest stevie became a great songwriter but unfortunately he died in the crash
Wow one of the best, that was amazing, thank you Biz.
Of the passed players who I wish I could see, definitely SRV. But also Roy Buchanan.
