What would happen if you fell on your side or front? Could Wes still help you?

Usually people who faint with pots regain consciousness very quickly and then they could turn onto their back. If they’re hurt enough that they can’t do that, then DPT is not the best response anyway, the dog is usually trained to go get someone to help

Thank you for this! I’ve been trying to teach my medical alert service dog to respond to my fainting episodes but he just hasn’t caught on!

How can you train to the possibility of passing out alert? I suffer vasovagal syncope only notice I get is I start to sweat profusely because my blood pressure will drop really low with little notice, which also happens in hot flushes due to menopause. I need my new puppy to alert me pre faint as well as laying on my abdomen raising blood pressure

Emily!!! My SD loved you’re videos. LITERALLY, he is on my lap in bed and I have my Tv on the wall and he’s like very still looking to you’re video. When I saw him I almost cry of joy like is so cute looking to practice. Thanks so much for the videos.💕

2 out of 3 POTSies in the house don’t faint. Does he have the ability to warn of high heart rate?

Thanks so much for making this video Emily. I found it to be very useful. About how long did it take Wesley to become fairly consistent with responding even when you didn’t use your command word?

Great educational video! He clearly understands his job and is eager to work! :) My girl does something similar but she's so drooly that the phase where I was training it with treats was SUPER gross!

I tend to faint face down and I am wondering were I should train my pup to go? On the one hand I would like them to lay on top of me so I don't have to worry if someone is going to get to me. On the other hand how could I train them to lay on me with my face to the floor in training sessions haha

This was the first of your videos I watched and it was so helpful! I’m so pleased I’ve found your channel and that this is out there. Truly admirable. :)

My SDiT learned this so easily. It was pretty much natural. He almost did it the first time I fainted in front of him.

This really works, I just started to try to train my husky, and now he barely needs any treats for doing it

I’m getting a service dog and your videos are so helpful! She’s not owner trained, but of course I need to know how to keep her from losing her training when I get her in 10 months.

Can you cover alerting to Panic Attacks with scent? I know you briefly covered it in another video but if you could go into more detail I think it would help a lot of owner trainers! ❤️❤️
