My house sale completed yesterday. I will be coming down in the car to see you soon. I like the look of the second MH you showed - and it's about my price range
I think its going to be a great bargain time to buy as soon as foreign holidays open up again and wife says she wants a hotel and get it sold.
End of an era i think.
Maybe just after xmas 2022.
I'm honestly staggered they are so cheap, came on to do a bit of research and couldn't believe it!! We were hoping to get just the one for more freedom on our west coast of Ireland trips, the locals all love us , but really at those prices we could get one for the kids too, or even just have two and rotate while we are having the last one cleaned for the next trip. Bit less keen on the yacht these days since the wife slipped on a champagne cork and fired half the staff.
Brilliant channel.
Keep them coming.
A lot of hard work getting vlogs posted, well done!
Hoping to pop up & see you soon.
Thank's TheM6aae see you soon 👍
Well presented and interesting....as usual. Thank you.
Very welcome Michael 👍
Fabulous as always. Great video with some interesting motorhomes.
Thank's Mike for watching 👍
I have too say I like the honest straight forward nature of these videos. Enthusiasm and a hard working character shine through with a little bit of humour. Yes its business , but for many people its so much more than money and technical specifications. Please continue to show the old with the new as I find the evolution of design and build fasinating. Thank you for your efforts in producing informative enjoyable content. See you in the future.
Thank you for watching Gary 👍 and really nice comment 😀
Fantastic video best motorhome clips on UA-cam keep them coming any C class next cheers
See what we can do Tango 👍
Thank you posting as promised. As new buyers we can only hope we do not loose too much on our 2nd hand m home when it arrives.
I do not think you will Euro
Another informative video and interestingly presented. Keep making words up please we like it!
Thank you! Will do! David 👍
Another very interesting video from you. Love watching your videos.
Thank you for watching Patrick 👍
Love these videos. Really gives an idea of the market right now. 40k ish is probably right for me and you seem to get a lot for the money and hold value.
Well said Spencer 👍
Really enjoying these videos, if i had the money id defo take up motorhoming. Amazing what you can cram into them. Great videos thanks 💪🏆
Thank you for watching Andrew 👍
Excellent info.
Glad you think so! Brian 👍
Really enjoyed this video presentation Jason 👍! The best advice I can give to anyone contemplating purchasing a motorhome / campervan is try to do as much research as possible. For example are you able to keep it at home or will you pay rental for storage elsewhere? Size matters ( this is why the 6m motorhomes are so popular) external storage is a priority because as you get into it and collect more items, you need somewhere to keep them ( awning, fold up chairs, aquaroll etc etc) if you want automatic transmission you can add approx another £4000 to the price tag. Buyer beware you won't get any reduction on the price of used motorhomes because the demand has outstripped supply of used motorhomes and be prepared to travel if you have a specific model in mind, local dealers to you don't always give the best deals.
Well put Tim great comment 👍
@@TheMotorhomeMan Thanks Jason. I'm speaking from experience.
Hi Jason, great video very interesting and some nice vans x
Thank you Julie 👍
Hi thinking of getting On the motor home ladder soon and would be delighted if you and kev could fix me and the wife up with a 30 grand van loving the videos keep them up cheers Gaz.
Another interesting video on prices so thanks for the effort in making the vids.
I started looking for vans in about 2012/3 and the prices have seemed to be rising since then.
I was lucky to order mine when the euro was weak against the pound and Hymer discounted their prices at the 2015 NEC October show and got a good deal.
I wonder if 2015 was a good year for the buyers?, as since then the market has just gone up and up.
Interesting. Great comment 👍
i like the u type lounges getting quotes so intresting so i know what i can afford👍
Glad you liked it! Roy 👍
It seems that the covid-driven demand has provided the dealers with the excuse to raise their prices and give the customer a right good reaming!! Consumerism at its best.
It also means dealers are paying more for their stock
@@TheMotorhomeMan Makes sense to me they'd sell more if they brought the prices down!.
Yes for sure it's yet another covid rip off.
Love your videos Jason, as you say prices are crazy at the moment but all about "demand and supply" do you think there will be a crash in prices in a couple of years time when people start going abroad again and look to offload their motorhomes? I like the Burstner Eleegance 821 and 890s but the prices for a circa 2010 model are crazy! hoping the world calms down a bit but be interested to hear your views........
honest, no sales person are honest.
Another brilliant video Jason, I really enjoyed it, keep them coming 😁
Thanks 👍 Joe
Upon my discharge from the military in 2007, I left the Uk to live in North America and am now a US citizen. I have a motorhome, however, in the US, they are typically quite large vehicles and modern builds re of low quality and very expensive. US import options for motorhomes is quite limited. It`s a shame we can't access smaller, more practical and better built vans like many on display on your wonderful channel. I am pleased to have found content like this, as when we come back to UK to travel around the country enjoying retirement (hopefully), we have a few points of contact! Great channel, great content! Cheers! Garry H/ South Carolina. PS: Any advice on UK insurers would also be appreciated, especially for expats like me who have been outside of our beloved country for a while!
Hi Garry, when you come over drop us a message and we will try to help out!😀
@@TheMotorhomeMan Will do! Love your channel and the way you present yourself. It keeps me entertained almost like a mild comedy routine, and I mean that as a compliment. You are obviously very passionate and professional in what you do and clearly love your job which is a brilliant position to be in. Are you also a fan of the outdoors and do you have a motorhome? Great work mate. Will certainly look you up. Insurance info' would also be handy. I think a lot of Americans view this and other channels too thus the insurance aspect would be good to know both long and short term options more so for those that live outside of the UK. Also, as I say, US options are poor. Large gas guzzlers with low build quality on newer vehicles. Maybe see if you could gain access to the US market and export some of your stock like we do in the UK with Mazda Bongos from Japan. I think it could be a big market.
Again, great work mate! Cheers. Garry
That's nice!!!
😀
Really interesting. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! Philip 👍
Goid stuff thanks
No problem 👍 Kevin
When do you think will be the best time to buy a compass avantgarde. as my first motorhome.
Great video interesting
When you find one you like and happy with the price C 👍
Great video - how much do you think coachbuilt Motorhomes were new 1997 to 2000?
I remember selling a really nice Talbot highwayman 91 probably 12/14 years ago for £8500 and shabby ones still go for that and more today 🤔
Covid
No idea
Very interesting and well explained - pardon my ignorance but what's a 3-way fridge?
Runs on:
Gas.
12v electric via vehicle 12v and leisure 12v battery.
240v hook up like mains power.
👍
Electric,Battery,Gas
Thanks for the replies.
Are you going to be doing family vans next? If so, can you include a 6 or 7 berth?
They will Tony
Hi I'm enjoyeding watching your very interesting videos on motorhomes.
I have been thinking about purchasing one myself as I am retired now.
But my big question is what's going to happen when everything has to go electric?, as you pointed out in one of your videos even a 15-year old motorhome doesn't lose a lot of money.
Will it mean all these very expensive motorhomes will lose their value very rapidly, any comments would be appreciated cheers Steve.
Most new cars will be going electric, what is it 2030?
Remember though that cars will be produced up until then burning fossils and I expect no Government will forcibly withdraw the sale of petrol of diesel for some time after unless it fancies being sued for billions.
I'd buy and run one.
Cheers.
We are all I think Steven are in the unknown 👍
You’ve got some good Vans there mate
Thank's Nick 👍
Great video but why only UK vans?
There were some European vans there to
Ending 2021 and begin 2022, prices Will drop a lot and a lot of old wil come to market
People are not part exchanging at the moment El
@@TheMotorhomeMan you mean not selling? No thats right. Ending this year, start next they will
100% this is me and my family first time in a camper and we were going to buy ssecond hand but it's near enough the same money for a new one so we order a new camper area a 70 dk
👍
Oh boy love almost all of them ❤️🚐
You can have them all Anne
@@TheMotorhomeMan wish we could but we have just found out we have a slow water leak in the concrete floor of the house we have to move and at the moment we are in the caravan on the drive we are insured but it is still going to use up our motor home money sadly ☹️
Great video , but what did you give for them I bet you have £10 ,000 margin in them , I understand people need to make profit don’t get me wrong, but 10 on the pt ex and 10 on the one taken out 20 k not bad , more profit than selling a house , keep the videos coming 👍
I wish Tony
Coming up to retirement age. I’m seriously wanting to buy one of these. But, they are really expensive. I suppose you get what you pay for. There is a local motorhome sales showroom, near me. But, would it better to expand the country, for a good deal on a motorhome?
👍🙌
In your professional/personal opinon is this artificial inflation in pricing or do you feel in the current climate it will keep as no one knows when they next will be bale to visit corfu or tenrife again and so opting for the staycation and the Motorhome holiday? I mean best depreciation value in the history of motor vehicles surely. By the way love the channel and the advice. Looking like getting a six berth means I have to sell me house!
Prices will surely drop this time next year
I see it like this, foreign holidays by late summer a goer, and who doesn't want sun, sand and sangria? Those daft enough to not see they were mugged off and desperate will look at their van on the drive and start to see their investment shrink.
New m/homes are being sold higher than manufacturers list price, crazy.
@@stephenbrown9400 Most of these surely are on TEN YEARS FINANCE how many have 45 grand under the bed so most wont worry about their investment shrinking maybe they will stop the monthly payment and get repossessed?
No one has slide outs In the uk. You can’t find them in the USA without slide outs I think
I dont think you can
Jason another great video.A bit missleading in principle WHY?
WELL all these motorhomes especially the newer ones have a Hefty Vat added to the New Price when buying new SO in theory one hasnt lost anything in value if selling AS you have in theory gained back the Vat on the van which the Government has taken from you when you Bought new.
In further videos like this one perhaps you could point out this VAT ON COST when showing the new price and the secondhand price so people buying can see the loss when selling down the line is in theory tiny. This MAY HELP you to sell more vans?
You are doing a great Job though and I wouldnt hesitate to buy from you OR RECOMMEND you to someone about to buy
atb Mike Skegness
Vat element in new price is pretty irrelevant to the used price.
On used the VAT is on the spread
2014 hymer T 588cl, 33000 miles £46995?,7 yrs old, fair price? Great informative video's, thanks
Thank you for watching Nick 👍
It's definitely not the right time to buy. Seller's market for sure. Prices are definitely inflated at the moment due to high demand. Wait for the market to settle for sure.
It might take a while
Like it . buying in india
👍
What is a three way fridge?..
Gas - Electric - Battery 👍
If i was able to purchase it be two berth fixed bed and separate shower the Autotrail Naj be my choice
👍
We might be selling our caravan September and would like to purchase a motorhome,do you think they will come down next year?
no not for a long while!
I do not think so Mike
👍
I think so. Lost of poeple got them because they needed to go on holiday instead staying home. When travel will be back to before those are just expeses. Also older models will not get into zones for the not so clean diesel ice
In the USA the discounts off of list price are at least 25%, so no one pays full price. Do people pay the sticker in the UK 🇬🇧, or are there discounts? It would change your comparison prices drastically, that is why I am asking. Thank you so much for this great video! I love to see the amazing designs that other countries have.
We tend not to haggle in the UK for anything. Dealer markups could be 15 percent?
I'd be happy to split that considering they would get a chunk back on the charges for warranty checks for 3 years+
Very different in the UK Mitchell 👍 Thanks for watching
👍
@@TheMotorhomeMan I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you so much 😊
@@stephenbrown9400 15% is not an unreasonable markup, in my opinion.
Well are these,in New Zealand,or England

Shame I wasn’t at risk of being homeless 10 years ago, would have saved myself a bit of money 🤣 this was really interesting though. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!😃
Fiat scares me I'd love a merc got 70k to spend 2 birth need a good size wash room 6ft 3 120 kg big guy. What motorhome u would advise?
Fiat they used to say Fix It Again Tomorrow BUT they have improved since BUT no comparison to a Merc. BUT you want a Merc then the price is loads Higher.
Mercedes can have issues just like Fiat. The difference is it costs a lot more to fix a Mercedes.
👍
@@TheMotorhomeMan my cars loved my fords, went to vw, audi and merc nothing went wrong with them. Bought my daughter a brand new Fiat uno spent more time in the garage than on the road bought her a polo 14 years on she's still driving the same car !!!!!! I'm going to sell my home and live full time I've 70k to spend on a used Van got another 6k to make it living off grid possible
Nice one me old mucker
Thank you Brian 👍
👍👍
👍👍 Nick
Go abroad and buy camper vans and trucks 25/% cheaper then over price camper van sakes in UK..
What if you live in the UK?😀
These are retail prices not trade in prices.. Owners won't see such low depreciation..
Yes retail Mark
Yeah like the video very good very good information I’m wondering if you have any refillable gas bottles for sale if you do just drop me a message thank you
Not that I know of Downs
Yes but you wont pay these prices ! The second hand ones !
That is what they are selling for
It’s nearly 2023 and the UK has gone to the dogs, the prices will have dropped now and will keep going down.
Unfortunately for many of the people looking to get into Motorhomes the prices haven't dropped. If anything they are still going up. Luckily for those looking to get a Volkswagen, Ford Transit style camper the prices have softened on these but this is because of the huge supply on the van-conversions... over 1000 volkswagen's alone just on autotrader. Supply side for the coachbuilt and panel vans from the top brands is still lacking and I guess that's why they can justify the price hikes on all the new stock.
Take home message, buy new!
👍
i bet you never paid anywhere near those prices, how much profit you making around £10.000 per sale.
if only bleaky 😀
