Hi steve here i have following for some time I would just like to say what a cracking job yo are doing I like you honesty the way you portray everything ,I know your a dealer and you have to make a good living but me and wife are saving every penny for our first motorhome and fingers crossed we will be being from you all the best in your business from Steve and rose 👍
Hi Jason really good video are you going to show any of the mh’s going under the hammer. Also did you see how much the 18plate Auto trail Tracker went for. Thanks again regards Mark.
I was hoping that rather than just seeing the inside of a few MH's which I could do at any dealer, that, as the title indicated there would be a bit more about the auction side of it.... ie do these have reserves? what sort of commission charged? Is VAT payable? What sort of prices do they make in comparison to retail prices?
Cherry wood always seems quality, but can be a bit dark with the wrong interior. With covid there will be a few more vans at auctions, could be a buyers market. Any van i would buy would need 6 foot bench seats.
Looking to buy in the future will keep an eye on the website may look at bca online as been in the motor trade for many years also a T is 1999 reg did you buy anything ?
Did you know you say mota roam but on this video it was the first time I heard you say mother home! :) Your videos are great and so informative. Thanks
The Motorhome Man hopefully I will get my hands on one in the future. Tourer caravans are great dont get me wrong but it’s all the hitching up, towing and set up when you get to site. With a motorhome it’s more or less ready to go. I might just have to start off with a older motorhome & hopefully once my mortgage is paid I can get a bigger & better one. But really would love the pure convenience or a motorhome. I’ve had a look in some & it’s amazing how spacious & roomy they are👍
Nice insight, been to many car auctions never a MotorHome. Did you guys get special permission to film around before it opened? Appears you two only ones there. Many thanks for sharing Ray K UK YNWA.
Just in process of buying a fiat Ducati swift kontiki year 2000. 2.8 diesel front diner rear washroom. 116k miles for £12k. Our question is this..is the price range about right ?. Just came across your you tube blogs and really enjoying them so please keep doing them for us all. Thankyou.
Sorry just cut myself off too soon . What I was trying to say was some of the beds were a bit high . Thanks again . Just saying it would be nice if you could film some of the auction itself , that's if you are allowed . Take care 🚐👍
It's not that Koby it is being able to price them they are very hard to give a valuation because the owner always over value them as there is no guide.
Great video good insight to what auction is about. Do you no if the Adria supreme Motorhome on 2017 out side panels fibre glass can’t find anything on type of construction Looking at one online looking like its alloy ? 👍
No worries thanks any way, have been on UA-cam most reviewers don’t mention construction just looking for something that is fully fibre glass GRP Great channel you have are you going to do a comparison from buying from auction to buying private be great to see 👍
3700 miles.... “quite a lot for a 2019 van”..... in a year. Motorhomes suffer more from under-use than over-use. My three commercial vans average 53K per year.
@@TheMotorhomeMan Sorry ,I did not mean to be too critical , I just found it difficult to enjoy it Your vast knowledge is clear and I would love to learn at a more leisurely pace Thanks I will subscribe
The Motorhome Man haha it’s a cult, 😂obviously starting with the splitty then the bay window, as the price of them became out of reach for the every day working man we switched to T4 at first old work vans, gave them some love, old battered ultra high mileage beauties, put all our money into getting a camper we could use every day, down to the coast catch some waves, then the T5 which saw us get a bit posher before the T5.1 and T6 saw us original T4 owners now a little older with shall we say more disposable funds, we then made them “posh” but still remember the good old days and we re-live our youth. 👍
Used to, but now to many cowboys, knocking them out, not insulating or using safe rock n roll beds, etc, there are no minimum standards, we can’t match their prices as they are not doing a good job, look good on the surface but no insulation means condensation which wrecks that van from the inside out, a personal hate of mine. But the vw camper world is massive, you convert an old work van to a camper slap nice wheels and paint job on it and they sell like hot cakes 😀
i like the way you say motor roam
It is the accent Rob 🙃

Thanks Steve, hopefully see you soon. 😀
Great video. Well worth visiting an auction to see many various options before buying. Thanks for your efforts
You get to see a broad range of Motorhomes Barry that you would not see at a Motorhome show.
Very upfront and honest.
Thank you E Wright
18:40 i think you have to slide the seat as far forward as poss towards the dash before you swivel the seat and that gives you the room
You are probably right
It would be nice if you could retrospectively put the price that they went for.
Maybe compare what they’d normally sell for.
Great vid though👍🏻
Great point! Cain
Hope you are staying safe and well and what a great video really enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it Ben
Great upload
Thank you
"This has been converted for the disabled" ........ "hold that while I get in" 😂😂😂. Thanks for your video I found it very interesting 🍷🍺👍
Thank's Chris I never noticed that...😂👍
Haaa haaa haaa
I always get rid with intermittent faults to auction. ie mysterious cutting out, engine faults
I always find auctions dearer
So you wouldn’t recommend Buying from auction Thomas? As I’m looking to get a motorhome but obviously I have a budget.
Prices are fixed any way -- private deals are best
Bloody good program
Glad you liked Garnet 👍

There are plenty about Bobbie
Great video I love looking at other vans mainly for tips on my van but we might replace it in the next 12 months
Thank you Smithy hope you come to us when you are ready.👍
I would say best to hire one before you buy one. And definitely if it's your first one buy from a dealer with a good warranty 👍
Great point! Richard 👍
Remember when it was Measham every other Friday ☺️
👍
Would have been great if you recorded the auction... maybe next time. Thanks for sharing
Next time! Raven it would have been difficult to do.
Looking to buy in the future will keep an eye on the website may look at bca online as been in the motor trade for many years also a T is 1999 reg did you buy anything ?
Thank's GC I realised it was a 1999 when I watched it back. 👍

I am getting better Dixie 😂
As someone who has a tourer caravan I’d love a motorhome but there just so expensive. Maybe in the future once I’m retired & have no mortgage!
Hope you do Matt

What is the saving you get at auctions and is there any warranty with what you buy.
You do not get any warranty when the hammer goes down it is your's,it is going to be cheaper than buying from a dealer like me.
That concerning what if you spend a lot of money & the thing is a knacker? Think I’d rather spend more and have a warranty for peace of mind.

Yes I think they forget it can be a struggle for some people to get in the beds.
Just a pity that you couldnt video the auction to see what prices the homes were reaching , but great vid as usual , cheers from Scotland
Sorry about that 45ltr
We need smelly vision so we can smell the damp in them dealer vans !!!
You will be surprised at the amount of quality motorhome's in the auction.
Oh, I thought we were going to see the auction :(
Sorry Laurence
Would of been nice to see what certain vans went for.
I would have been dicing with death there Simon
What's wrong with campervans ?. There are great if they are you main vehicle and for weekends..
It's not that Koby it is being able to price them they are very hard to give a valuation because the owner always over value them as there is no guide.
@@TheMotorhomeMan There you are something for you to do during lock down lol.
I have given up trying, unless you are going to stock a lot of VW's I struggle to sell them.
Been twice general public struggle to get the deals auctineeers seem very much dealer friendly !!!!!
You can get a great deal at the Auction
@@TheMotorhomeMan yeah if your a dealer
Just remember your commision charges.
Is it reasonable to expect to get a modern 4 berth for 35k?
You are not far off Paul probably £40k - £45k
@@TheMotorhomeMan great thanks, will keep an eye out for one. I think I will hire one or two different models to test them out
Can you confirm the how much cheaper the motorhome are,and do they say if its been damaged,IE crash/ flood
None are damaged,crashed or flood.
Would love to know how much the Moho’s went for that you looked at?
Can you tell me ?
Cheers Dixie
Sorry David you will have to go yourself

Some of the Autosleeper's are an all in one body
What's your cheapest motorhome for 3-4 people please?
Have a look on the website Caren www.caravansandcampersltd.co.uk/
What sort of prices , we do realise that dealers need to make a profit at the forecourt, but what are the savings by going auctions
You would have to see for yourself 🤔
How often are they held ? and where please , by the way I do like the way you present your videos , down to Earth I say . Thanks for your reply
2nd thursday of the month Nottingham
Any idea what the Burstner 747 7 berth went for ?

That is what I find Darren the quality build is not there and I can not get my head around how people value them.
BCA will get this video taken down - can’t film without their permission

Thank You
Load of crap why not film the actual auction so viewers can know what to expect to pay plus fees.
Nothing mention about that.
👍
People want cheap
There is no cheap anymore
What a waste of time
Thank's for your comment Pen.
