    Great deepdive! This keeps reminding me that even though we follow the game since KS, there are still things we forget or don't quite catch haha
    *Edit: Poor Vlhadus, giving into the dark side like that

      I’ve only been following since last September, so I have to do my due diligence and dig a little bit to learn things most of you have known for years! I appreciate your comment :)

    SWG had truly unique crafting, and it was really worth it to know the best crafters on your server. As a dedicated prospector I had long lasting fruitful relationship with them, providing them with unique materials, and getting excellent gear in return.
    It doesn't seem that Ashes will come anywhere close to that as it is all very standardized.

    Good job my friend, well done. Now I want to hear a Ren'Kai story of Peon ! lol

    Great wrap-up on the artisan system! I’m super excited about the depth of crafting in Ashes of Creation, especially with the sub-recipes and the ability to customize items so much. When are getting another video from you about professions?

    • @DarkMitten
      @DarkMitten  4 місяці тому +1

      @@LuxeGamingXD I have been busy with a baby who started crawling recently (takes up most my day) then I work nights. So it’s been tough to focus on Ashes of Creation in my spare time lol. So my plan is to revisit the professions once I start playing alpha 2 and make some more videos then.
      I have a couple more ideas for videos before then that are not professions related. Hopefully I can do them sometime this month, but we’ll see :)

    Here's hoping iron ore sells well

    • @DarkMitten
      @DarkMitten  5 місяців тому

      I hope they have scarce resources in some areas of the map so transporting iron ore to those areas could be more profitable compared to where you gathered them. Since you have limited slots in resource bags people would have to make a lot of trips going to far away nodes to buy bulk iron ore. People would pay a premium to cut out that transit time

    Having finite on crafting recipes has got to be one of the DUMBEST mechanics I have ever seen.
    If I make an apple pie 10 times, I don't just forget how to make it and have to learn it all over again.

    • @DarkMitten
      @DarkMitten  22 дні тому +1

      @@Guknowit I think this will be the case for some of the best legendary stuff. Like raidboss equipment to prevent an overproduction in them

    • @DarkMitten
      @DarkMitten  22 дні тому +1

      If it proves to be dumb and players provide that feedback in testing I think that is something they would be okay in changing

    • @Guknowit
      @Guknowit 22 дні тому +2

      @@DarkMitten The materials are already going to be hard enough to get so having a limit on how many times a player can make that thing is pretty game breaking imo.
      I think most of us that follow this game like the raw challenge that AOC proposes, but unnecessary mechanics like this can kill the QoL.
      I love grind, but I refuse to grind for repeats of a recipe card. It's just baffling, it doesn't make sense in any universe lol.
      Outside of that, great video, I'm glad you pointed that out because I didn't know that.
