Just wanted to say I do these videos because they are actual entertainment to film, I get to have a laugh and review things I haven’t touched in three years. It also gives me a chance to have a chat with someone who survived Warwick and knows exactly where I am coming from when I need help. I find the comments section ridiculously funny which helps too 😅 Fun Fact - on my first birthday at Med school (which you should all know when it is by now ;) ) I had a clinical skills session with Dr Gill who congratulated the earth on making another lap around the sun 😅
Abby when he asks you if you have any questions, at least ask him how's he feeling, the man is a legend 😂 bet you have lots of fun doing those videos, nice content and good information actually :).
I don"t have a medical background, but still enjoy your videos as they are very informative and everything seems to make sense to some degree even without excessive medical knowledge. This time a question came up for me though: How does the movement of the eyes link to problems in the nose?
So pt has a nose bleed - maybe after an injury - the question is has the injury no only broken the nose, but fractured the bones of the face. Hence you press around the sockets and across the nose
@@DrJamesGill Thank you very much for the answer, it actually makes sense now. Actually didn"t think about how far a "simple" blow on the nose might go.
I really noticed the editing in this one more than usual (in a good way). I don't normally notice the technical stuff, but the shifts/cuts are particularly well done!
Great job with everything Dr. Gill. I've been a fan ever since the "candid ASMR" videos from five or so years ago. It's been wonderful to see you create this channel and grow it to where it is now. You're doing a tremendous amount of good for many many people out there. Thanks for all you do, and thanks for being you!

Learning medical science is very easy for your videos. Your videos are very informative. And also your videos give me sound sleep as well as knowledge.
Dr. Gill sir. If you make longer videos for ASMR purposes, they would have hundreds of thousands of views. Like a total medical exam. Cut it into small parts for educational purposes, and the long one for the ASMR people, like me. With your soothing voice, they'll be super successful. Just a thought.
I've had blood noses for years ever since I was a baby. Somebody once suggested they could be caused by iron deficiency, and I find when I take iron tablets that I am less likely to get nosebleeds compared to when I don't. They seem to be brought on by hot weather, excessive sugar, and extreme stress
@@DrJamesGill that has to be someone who had an asthma attack while running to catch the bus 😅 If you ever want to learn just how truly out of shape you are, run up the stairs at a station to catch a bus.
LOL I didn't think Abby was lying, but maybe it was a sinus infection that had since cleared? I've had a few of those in my life where I got a nose bleed and that was it.
Yo!!!! The filming and editing of this particular video looks insanely clean and professional!!! Like it LOOKS like I was watching a actual TV show. Not surprised because we are talking about Mr. Bigtime Dr. Gill here. I love and appreciate the time he takes to make these videos which I know are for the medical community and med students to learn from, but it’s definitely been the ASMR COMMUNITY who truly enjoys them too. Personally I’d love to see a vid on ear checkup because I’ve always found them quite relaxing when I personally get them myself, but Dr. Gill doing one would really be enjoyable. I’d easily watch that vid over and over the way i did with this vid. Keep up the great work Dr. Gill and all your vids are extremely informative even to the people who aren’t medical students or professionals and just average people like myself.
I love watching these videos, I learn so much! I had to have a camera up my nose, I got to see what the inside of my nose looked like and it was weird but so cool Also love Abby's t-shirt

This one interested me mostly because of my own history of nose bleeds in my right nostril, though having tripped as a toddler and completely tore away that part of my nose from my face on a stamp box I was playing with requiring plastic surgery to properly reattach it would definitely qualify as a valid cause due to thin/sensitive surface veins in that nostril aggravated by dry weather as a result of the trauma.
@@DrJamesGill thanks, thankfully I don’t remember it but it was very traumatic for my parents, at least I mostly grew out of the nosebleeds by adulthood and primarily have mostly minor ones in my sleep now in the winter except for the occasional random one here and there.

Hey Dr. Gill! In other examinations, when examining lymp. In the neck, you’ve also asked the patient to shrug their shoulders and checked there. Why is this not done in this examination?
That is specifically looking for Virchow’s node. That is a lymph node that relates to the lungs and abdomen, thus is not tested for here That is the sort of thing that we score students on during exams. Are they explaining correctly for a specific patient, or just applying generic approaches.
@@DrJamesGill a lot of UA-cam creators say that the thumbnail and title are often the most difficult part of the process. Dr Gill, all these videos are great, however in all of them we assume the patient has no issues. But how would the examination proceed if there was an actual issue?
There shouldn’t be any change. An examination should always be complete to ensure nothing is missed Admittedly there are a couple of special test in the abo exam for appendicitis, and similarly for the odd Ortho thing. But otherwise we teach do the whole exam as you don’t know what you’ll find
