Metallica - Live in Seattle (2000) [Remastered Pro-Shot]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 січ 2020
- Band name: Metallica
Date: June 23, 2000
Venue: Memorial Stadium
Location: Seattle, WA, USA
Event: Experience Music Project (museum of music history) concert launch
Other acts: Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kid Rock, Filter, Red Hot Chili Peppers
Media: 2 DVDs (2 different sources)
Version: neoton / Bluefalcon
Filming type: Professional (Pro-Shot)
Generation: Master / 1st
Video format: NTSC
Aspect ratio: 4:3
Total running time: 54 min
Notes:
I combined two different sources to get the most high quality and complete version of this show.
The "Much Music" broadcast is a master source and consists of "Enter Sandman", "Nothing Else Matters" and "Battery".
The rest of the set I took from a 1st gen version of the full show.
Additionally I upscaled and de-interlaced the original NTSC DVD-files of both sources from 480p at 29,97i to 720p at progressive 59,94fps for best possible UA-cam viewing quality.
Show notes:
Metallica playing at the opening of the EMP (Experience Music Project) museum ; A museum in Seattle that showcases rare artifacts from popular music history.
One part of it is dedicated to the history of Seattle music, including Jimi Hendrix, Heart, and the Grunge music genre.
"Enter Sandman" was used as the show opener for the first time since May 8th, 1993.
Enjoy!

Jason Newsted on the bass makes the whole band feel right.
jason is more like metallica than metallica himself we need Jason back
Cant believe this was 20 years ago
Oh fuck I'll soon turn 20

My buddy Albert and I were 17, hammered, dehydrated, and just snuck in through the exit while Eminem fans were leaving. Great times. Rest in peace Albert.
Why were you dehydrated
At least you have this amazing memories of you and your buddy ….. rip Albert
Jason’s vocals made them much more powerful live
Jason's vocals are amazing!
Ah yes... The other Seattle shows.

Seattle 89, 2000, 2017, did they play in Seattle any other times?
48:17 Jasons finest moment of the band
party of metal
hahaha! you funny lol
Fuck, what a show man. I love Robert Trujillo but man, Jason had that raw energy that drove Metallica.
Man, do I miss Jason’s vocals!
I think pretty much everybody does.
And bass sound
33:51 KING AS YOU ARE!
@Sweet Jones III hahaha 🤦🏻♂️ are you stupid?
😆 😆 I see what you did there.
04:46 justice for all for whom the bell tolls version
This was my first Metallica concert, it was a high-school graduation gift, I remember meeting people in the crowd who had seen the band between 12 to 17 times, it was overwhelming, unlike anything I'd ever experienced before, you only get that really once and ill never forget it.
I also graduated in 2000.
6 months later Jason put his guns in the ground and left his dreams behind.
@2WheelTonio if being a multi millionaire travelling the world is treated like shit sign me up
@@jongbong1912 moron
They never valued him as he deserved, from the moment he joined...they made him feel like he was not part of the group, they were even able to take the bass out of AJFA.
I think that, no matter how great a member of Metallica may be, if your teammates behave like idiots, the best thing is to leave and do things that are good for you... even if the "success", the "fame" and the millions of dollars move away.
I think you mean that “he focking left the band!
.
!
N Y G E H ! ? !”
Money isnt everything @jongbong1912
Jason was one of the reasons I kept following Metallica, after his departure something was lost, regrettably.
metfan4l: uplouds awesome live metallica again
me:
click on it, faster than James downpicking
Impossible!
*thats not possible, you're a madman*
Right now Lars is thinking “okay this is great! No ones gonna leave this fockin band”
Jason: “hold my bass”
Se ve claramente, como Jason sentía pasión por la música que hacía con metallica
Aún se siente el vacío que dejó. Una lástima que no aprovecharán su potencial
Never seen this concert before, jeeez they are on fire! And James looks more happy than angry.
Then Jason focking left the band. And St. Anger happend.
He was definitely drunk asf at that time lol
@@gameex7395 Yes and James went to rehab.. Turbulent times indeed.

Bass 🎸Jason is working, uuhhhh..! Really energetic..!
Jason Newsted Metallica 💓
when metallica used to be a band with 4 friends playing music, i miss those times.
Bands are more like marriages. Far beyond friendship. Kirk and Rob are probably bigger friends these days than James and Lars were by 2000, so what you're saying doesn't make a lot of sense other than you miss being young.
That Battery performance is one of thier alltime best!
It's fucking BRUTAL and heavy and fast as fuck!! It's probably one of their best Battery performances ever! The fucking rage is palpable!! James is my hero!!
Toronto 86… Check that one too, mate 🤘🏼
San Diego to me.
Gotta give it up to Lars. He was on fire and you can tell his little “hiccup” after the guitar solo and the transition back to the verse parts; he went so hard though it’s barely noticeable, which is badass in itself but you can see in James eyes at one point make a kinda “The Rock” stare at the crowd cause he heard that minimal goof which actually was, in my eyes, actually something amazing! Lars was playing his heart out like a great punk drummer and just kept going. That’s the key for musicians, you fuck up, who cares, keep going until the end of the song.
Seattle are always welcome Metallica
disgusting profile pic
"so gimme fuel gimm ee. . . fire. . gimme. that which i desiiiaarrreeaahh ooooooooohh..... YAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHHEY". James just makin' love to the mic. People love to hate on Load and Reload so much they forgot what a fucking awesome live period the early 2000s were. The Garage Inc tour was probably the best I've seen. The Load tour was incredible. And Kid Rock followed them around with Joe C, back before Kid Rock turned complete asshole and man in those days his shows with Joe C were no joke great shows. Bullgod live, whew.. where were we? Oh yeah, GO BILLS!
I love how they reenact the same ending for Battery the way they did in 1989
48:13 Jason come back.......We all miss your BRUTAL back vocals !!!!!!
Rob is very good bass player ,i can not deny this..........but...... !!!!
Last time I was this early, Cliff played for Trauma
lmfao
I always asocial the fact that he in Metallica I’m a diehard fan but I have no intention of being in trauma and what I garter that his bass solo got him into Metallica but cliff agrees to join the band if they move to California 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
I hit the like button before even playing the video

JASON FOREVER
Jason, James without a hundred of tattoos, guitars with the original Explorer shape, Kirk with moustache... That was Metallica.
Real
impecable .. AMAZING¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ ..with Jason ;)
As always thanks for uploading
such an awesome concert! the energy is insane! also the beginning of i disappear is so hilarious lolol
This is absolutely amazing great work
tremendous amount of energy in this concert! Love it!
Here I am. Seeing this spectacular show again!
That was a great show. So fun.
❤jason
Read the Playboy interview released during that time. The band was such in turmoil at that time. It's hilariously tragic. Popularity is great ruiner of friendships in a way.
Awesome. So cool. Great quality. Congratulations.
Starting 2020 off good bois Metallica!!🤘🤘
Great show...
This is my birth year but thanks to my mom and sis I love metal music and Metallica 🥰
Dude, nice!
I remember watching this when it aired live. I taped it so I could watch it over and over again. I remember the little blonde girl screaming the lyrics too "BATTERY" and thinking, Fucking Hell Yeah!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Fuckin Battery was on point!!!!!!!!! That shit jammed!!!!!!!!
Love this version of Battery!
Lars was slamming like it was his last performance ever!
No phones 😮 amazing
Jason was Metallica's best bass player by every metric.
You just threw me 17 years back, when I was 15 yo and downloaded from iMesh or Kazza the Battery and Enter Sandman clips from this very show and watched them again and again almost every day
Ahhh fuck I miss Jason’s vocals. Such a huge loss
Awesom,e !!! ThNKS For ShaRing WhITh The World !!!
Thanks friends
Leaving aside I disappear, and specially during one and battery, their performance is I think at their best. Lars Really good technique and Jason well...he is awesome.
Amazing................
come back to
(SEATTLE )
thank you for posting yeah !
19:41 one of the most fckuped moments in Metallica history
i love this era so much... they looked and sounded sloppy, hetfield's singing was really good, maybe a little bit wasted but still cool, and THIS energy... they were drunk and high here for sure, they fucked up a lot, but it's wholesome in a way. definitely my fav era
They were drunk since 1983
I love seeing how happy they are when they play Battery you can tell how proud they are of what scene they originate from. Best Band Ever.
I can't believe this was almost 20 years ago.
ah the classic st anger blown out voice james
Were they not practicing or something around this time, they are sloppy as hell, although they knocked Battery out of the park.
James did say they were just getting warmed up right before Battery.
I think They drunk
Come As You Are bit starts at 33:52
Best Battery performance Ever !
Sounds great. Really tight. James voice sounds great. Hoping he’s doing well.
really. tight?! lol what show were you watching lol i love metallica and i can tell they were not ripe for this one lol
its been 20 years ago , I'm so old xD
I CLICKED ON IT AS SOON AS I COULD
I love BATTERY!
Wtf was that intro to I Disappear??
My thoughts exactly. Ohh lars
Too much cocaine disappeared before the show ;)
+Jeff Keeton That wasn't even Lars's fault. James came in late but Lars kept the tempo straight so James could slow down and take it through the right way.
Lars' count-in was way faster than the actual tempo.
they were drunk and high af
Newsted
Kirk playing Come as you are during King Nothing XD \m/
Melhor banda do mundo
Brasil porraaaaa metallica é do caralho
Com certeza!!!
Awesome, Metallica is the best fucking band in the world, thanks for sharing.
No se porque siento que es de todos los conciertos el mas aguado de todos los que yo he escuchado y visto!!
Best nothing else matters version of all time
< como dice »
I remember sering them at monsters of rock and James said if you've come here to hear ooh baby and spandex! We are not your band. When he started saying Baby i was like what the fuck is this shit James! I got over it but the 80s and early 90s Hetfield would have a talk with older James about that 😂
♥️
Video from Prague 2019 webcast . Pleaseeeeeeeee !!!!!
Best Metallica live ever...
Check out their live show from 86, in Montreal, on UA-cam, crushes this.
dat thumbnail
A lot of us are left to wonder...if we had gotten an album from 2000/01 Metallica, how great would it have been? I think the tension alone between the guys would have inspired something great
agree...the lost album...
It would've been more of that Post black album era vibe judging by what audio exists of the presidio sessions. Bit more balls than reload but still very much that kind of attitude of early some kind of monster
@@mrgriff7677 wasn't Jason already out before the presidio? I feel they were already fractured by then.
pay respret to jasons last show with metllica

I played hooky from work to go to this show. Was my 4th Metallica concert, but first time seeing all the other bands. Really fun day. Kind of a bummer they all played under an hour sets though.

Metallica😈😈
No fuckin smartphones in those years! Only fun!
They pulled the riff from come as you are, AMAZING
Que vuelva Jason
Weird era for them.. can't help it.. Sadly James also sounds pretty bad compared to 1999. I do agree that this was the last "old metallica" era tho.
I see Newsted. I click on NEWSTED.
btw, will you upload more videos from 99/00???
I think there are still a few left that I haven't uploaded yet... so yeah, eventually there's more coming.
@@metfan4l oh, that's great!!! this is a really good era and unfortunately, i couldn't find many good footages from that time... i'm waiting!
