Love this, I cut my templates from a kitchen chopping mat I buy at Dollar Tree you get 2 for a dollar. They are see-through and you can see through them to fussy cut your design in the place you want it.
Great idea to make the template for long term use and ease of lining up the design.
OHHHHHH That is SOOOOOO Coooool
Very Smart Idea.
Thank you for sharing this great idea.
Cool tip. Thx
Great!
That is so clever, I am not tossing my old cards………..thanks for sharing that idea
If you make them bigger, you can slide in an individual bag of microwave popcorn. These were my go to gifts for my daughter to bring to her classmates when she was little.
ahhh Laura...You're such a dear & creative treasure, & with a lovely soothing voice....I'm 68-years-old, & some of my most cherished childhood memories are those spent with my beloved Swedish grandmother...She was a highly skilled fibre artist who specialized in very detailed Japanese fine needlework, but every Christmas season, we'd make beautiful lidded boxes with used greeting cards, an old awl & yarn...This wonderful tutorial of yours brings back years & years of pure happiness for me...God bless you...
Beautiful!!! Having coffee in bed and now I just want to get upstairs and make these !! Right now lol Love repurposing items♥️
Thank you for this sweet pattern, I enlarged these little boxes and used them as gift boxes for my hand made soaps. Everyone loved your idead!
Yvonne
Great idea... Where did you get the pattern?

OHHH Good to know... Thank you.
Great idea! Thank you for yr clear and simple instructions!!👌

Those remind me of McDonald's apple pie back in the day, lol. Thanks for the inspiration🤗
I use an old magazine, phone book or stack of recyclable boxes. ( Unfolded, of course.). I use a bottle cap to do the finger flap shapes. I also use double sided sticky tape for closing the flap. The tape doesn’t need time to set or dry. Glue always seeps out and makes a mess for me. Also glue doesn’t stick to glossy paper as well as tape does. I always keep an old pen or two to do the scoring on the lines. I also use them to help torn corners on pillows and such.
great idea...I have lots of cards laying around. I am going to make these to put my rosaries in that I sell...thank you...
They’d make terrific money gift boxes
Thank you for showing how to make these! I have always really liked them and now, thanks to you, I can finally get rid of hundreds of cards I have saved because I couldn't throw out the artwork !
Hi, how are you doing. I hope this year brings happiness prosperity love and peace all over the world. I'm Thomas from Virginia nice to meet you
I love this idea! Would be fun not only for Christmas time - but the whole year through! Valentine’s treats, Easter treats, birthdays, etc
Oh, Laura, you are a genius!!! I'm giving my Grandkids money this year and was trying to think of a neat way to package them, this will be perfect and just in time as I was getting ready to wrap everything. Thank you so much, may your Holidays be Merry and Bright 💌

Hello Julie, how are you doing?
This is super cute. I can see gluing fabric on card stock. Great idea! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laura, thank you, I have so many cards that are just in a box and now I can picture a whole tree decorated with these little tiny boxes of joy. Maybe even a tiny treat tucked inside or an advent idea. How fun. Now I don’t feel guilty about my thinking I may have to just toss them. Truly s January project. Lol.
Great ideas. Thank you.
Oh that's a great idea, make them into ornaments!
What a cute idea. If you make the the right size, you can put a gift card or money inside, or put a hole in the little purse handle and hang it on the tree!
So cute 💕 throw in some lindor chocolate and a perfect little treat gift
I love this idea! Thank you
This is a great little project for my granddaughter when she comes for Christmas. We will do Valentine pillow gift cards for her teachers to give this year, and mother can get gifts cards for coffee or what ever for them. They will here on Fri and stay till the 2nd of Jan and go back to home base, so trying to get things to keep her busy for those days she is here and this going to be one of them. Thank You so very much. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. Stay safe till we see you again.
Brilliant idea! Thank you❣🌹🦋🤗🙋🏾♀️
Great use for old cards that we always accumulate every year.
Good for money cards.
These are adorable!!! I think they would make nice place settings with some sweet treats inside! Thank you for this tutorial!

Love these!! I just got a huge stash of old cards to repurpose, so I'm excited to start making these. Great to put pre-wrapped candies in for neighbors, fellow parishioners, and even strangers, just to make their day more special! Thanks for sharing!!
Made 4 of these for family members who are getting some cash under the tree ... so.much nicer than an envelope!! Thank you Laura and Merry Christmas !
These would make cute bowl fillers too...an easy and 'free' decor item.
Brilliant. Super simple video.
What a fabulous idea! This is exactly what I need for the truffles I'm making tomorrow for stocking fillers, and a great way to use all those old cards I can never bring myself to throw out. Thank you so much -you're a genius! Happy Christmas!

Bert nice. Thank you for sharing!
Perfect for next year. I'm going to pin the template to the December page of my 2022 calendar. Thank you
I love these little boxes and how you've made one into a purse! Also love the idea of using "used" cards, or an excess fo boxed cards. Love your channel!
Hi Marilyn, how are you doing. I hope this year brings happiness prosperity love and peace all over the world. I'm Thomas from Virginia nice to meet you
Made into a purse? That is such a great idea...
If your printer program allows it, you can scale the template to make larger or smaller pillows. I love the idea of making slightly smaller ones as tree decorations.
Hi, how are you doing. I hope this year brings happiness prosperity love and peace all over the world. I'm Thomas from Virginia nice to meet you
Cute boxes. My Mom taught me to make these as a little girl in the 50’s.
Just stumbled upon your channel, and I'm very impressed! I was ready to stitch up little envelopes for gift cards this afternoon, but opted for your pillow boxes, instead. It took a little bit of practice to get the hang of it, and I had to widen the pattern a little to accommodate commercial gift cards, but I'm very impressed with the results. Really very nice, and I'll definitely keep the supplies handy to make more throughout the year.
These little pillow boxes are wonderful and I love they are upcycled. This would be great to use the cricut cutter.
Brilliant idea!! Thank you for showing us how to get the most out of the cards!!
I started making paper and using them as envelops for the Boy Scouts awards. This would make an awesome way to use my homemade boxes for Court of Honors (award celebrations) thank you Laura!!
You're God's gift to us! Thank you!
I agree, perfect for giving grandkids money!
Laura, you look particularity stunning today. How lovely for the season. Fabulous ideas
Oh how nice. When my Mom in law sends us cards, I'll make the into little pillow boxes and send them back with a note inside.

I have seen these before at craft fairs but never considered making them - but now I can! It will be a nice thing to do tomorrow, as my daughter is recovering from this dreaded virus. Also, you can make up a batch and keep them flat to take up less space. Am off to print the template now. Thank you!

Very pretty good job👏👏👍👍
These are so cute and useful. I think I’d have to use tracing paper for the pattern because I don’t have the confidence you do in my placement over the designs. Splendid!

Love this idea!
Your cards are beautiful
Hi Laura, another great video! I just made ten of these!!! I enlarged the template and make a couple larger for small gifts. I tried using a card with glitter embossing and embellishments and it was a little difficult so next time I would avoid those cards. Thanks, Sue (HHQG)
However did you know that I used my last pillow boxes this Christmas?! I was thinking of ordering some more for next year. But just in time!! You posted this video on making them. Now I am excited because you have given me a fun project to make on those days when I need an easy project!!! Love your channel- you are such a lovely lady. Merry Christmas to you & your family. I look forward to watching your videos in 2022.
