Hey guys loved the video,. I just purchased the same kit. It was a bit pricey compared to some other competing brands, but the ease of plug & play “PRICELESS”. I received an email almost immediately explaining the turnaround time, due to country’s crisis, so far great customer service & great professionalism. I copied you guys with ghost light, horn, & plate with pigtail adapter, along with some swag (hoodie & T-shirt “couldn’t help myself). ******I wanted a link too the switch plate you used for the middle section of the X3.****** I like the location you guys used & would be easier having all the controls together. I didn’t quite catch the brand or company that sells them. Guys these companies should show y’all love for the videos you guys are doing; because of you guys I went with Corbin Custom Works. It is cool to see the process & what the product performs like the good or bad & you guys give it. There are a couple more products you guys have done that I will bring into my 2021 XMR TURBO RR build. Don’t stop making videos guys! DTR OFF-ROAD👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
This is all good stuff to hear man... most of the products we made lengthy videos about we did get steep discounts from the vendors. That doesn't sway anything we say, but they do make it worth our while. We have parts that we got and are absolute junk, but we won't say that, we just don't even talk about them lol. I'll have to do some research to see who sent us that center plate. One of the other guys opened that package and a company sent us a quick disconnect for the seat bracket, some really nice door handles, and that center plate. I just can't remember who at the moment.
So far so good, over 6 months in and no major problems. I wish i had the budget to buy another set of rims with road tires because my carnivores have gotten chewed up. But at the moment we're building a new garage so extra tires aren't priority lol. The buggy is definitely a fun vehicle to pick the kid up from school in.
Great video. One improvement they could make is self canceling signals. It’s nice that they flash on the button but they should stop blinking in case you forget. The CTX kit does. Love those ghost lights.
I just bought a 2021 Cam Am Defender Limited. I brought it home with intentions of putting on my light bar, the trail lights and the turn signal kit from Corbin Custom Works. I live in southern WV where the Hatfield McCoy Trails systems are located and Side by Sides are allowed on public roads in my area. (As long as they are road legal.) For any of you who have recently purchased a new Can Am Defender Limited and you have yet to tackle the job of installing your own accessories; BE WARNED: The machine is built extremely tight and sealed up. I have worked for hours installing trail lights. What would be an easy job on most side by sides has taken hours because the Can Am has every nook and cranny sealed off tight. Luckily the Can Am comes with three different BUS bars (that I have located already) and a bunch of prewired accessories wires ran from the fire wall thru to the dash, under the center floor panel, etc. But, nothing is easy on this machine. I have owned it about two weeks and we have driven about 250 miles on it. Absolutely no road dust inside the cab is a huge bonus.....but, being use to owning the "other" side by sides in the past and upgrading them was fun. The Can Am isn't fun, it is a beast of a job to accessorize. Plan for what would normally be 2 or 3 hour job to take all day.
I have a 2023 on the way...I want the Corbin kit also...are there any pre factory holes in "firewall" for wires to go through? I like projects but i have heard they are a beast to work on. Are there any Instructions online where I can look at the Corbin install before I try to tackle it. my dealer puts them on but if to much to handle I may let them. thanks
I appreciate all you showed. Would have liked to see a little more on the wire routing for the horn, but that's a pretty small thing. Thanks for a lot of good video.
I broke both of my headlights too lol. Well, the first one just broke on its own but the second one I forgot about that T27 hiding back there, haha. WV just made it where you can go street legal so I might be doing that soon. Not that you really need it here.
Yea I saw that about WV... I'd absolutely take advantage. Put a copy of the reciprocity laws in the glove box and you'd be good everywhere just like a truck. I think the turn signals are nice to have anyhow but I wanted to go to friends houses without having to trailer or take muddy trails all the time. The headlight thing... so dumb lol
Yea, it's a rule... I mean everyone we know runs them uncovered on jeeps and such. But what I don't want is them to pull over my SxS and point at that for a ticket when they don't find anything else lol. Thanks for watching!
Is there anywhere online to print off install directions for Turn Signal, Horn, Hazzard kits for 2022-2023 CanAm Defender Limited Max? Just wanted to look at it before I install or get dealer to do it
I bet for like a nickel in extra materials and ten minutes of extra build time Can Am could just have the vehicle come street legal right out of the factory.....
Absolutely true. But keep in mind they sell it as an off-road vehicle and warn in the stickers etc against driving on pavement. Bunch of BS but it is what it is. It would open them up to the hungry lawyers waiting to pounce like a butcher’s dog on a bone.
You won't regret it, this is a very good kit. Been running it a year now without issue. That mount was a prototype from a company, unsure if there's one available for sale. I'd imagine you can find something though, I really like the switches being in that location.
South Dakota allows out of state registrations and allows utvs on the road in their state. I could be nailed by my state for not having a Pennsylvania registration but our local cops don't really care. Montana is the better way to go to be honest.
@@dtroff-road5427 I got licky and got a South Carlina tag I’m not sure how i got so lucky but I wanna put everyone else on the road, I heard police giving people trouble with Montana tags
You know... i would've said it's been fantastic, been wet and muddy and deep without issue but it just recently stopped working. I'll have to look though, it may be a ground. I just put a new shock mount on last week which has a thick powder coat that the horn is attached to. My first thought is maybe a mount bolt is the ground. Haven't looked close yet. But before this week i would've said it's been flawless.
@@georgeabrahams1465 I don't, of I remember right I think it was 45 seconds but don't quote me. In real use it actually seems slightly short. Some lights are longer than the blinking action

I agree... most jobs have a bit of extra difficulty on these machines. Even oil changes are kinda inconvenient lol

Yes... Video will be coming
How’s the horn been? Waterproof? Have you takin it into deep water and submerged it?

I like the lights, but don't like the turn signal switch. I prefer the version with the actual "stick" that comes off the steering wheel.
I agree using a switch is weird, but i think I'd break a stick in this vehicle.
But that one then..
Are those dual colored tail lights and if so are they factory or did you add those?
No they're just red and they blink... tail lights are stock

Where did u get the windshield from ?
It's the super atv flip up poly windshield
Do you still have stock signature lights?
I'm sure they're sitting in a box in the garage somewhere
Where did you mount the controller?
It's zip tied up under the dash in the center...
How long was the wait?
I don't remember it being significant... best guess was a week maybe. They were an in stock kit

Yep, i got the ghost light option... it's much brighter

In a sense... they have a time limit where they stop blinking if you forget to turn them off, but are on a toggle switch you manually turn them off.
