#Abandoned
Cool video. I worked there from July of 1999 until October of 2004. Lots of great memories. I recognize every place you explored. I had a cubicle space on the 5th floor right near the elevator lobby. The job I did there gave me unrestricted access to every part of the facility. The underground parking garage is pretty cool and what used to be the security control room was located at the bottom of the delivery ramp right next to the parking garage. It literally looks exactly the same. Even the furniture and office chairs are the same.
Epic editing and superb narration with a metal gear solid feel. What more could you ask for ?!?!
Thanks man :)
FYI this building was built in honor and to appear as the Medim Market basket not a picnic basket. It was Dave's dream to have his people work in a basket. The med market basket aka. '500' if you're an old school basketmaker from Longaberger. The large picnic basket was the 300 which I personally have made hundreds, if not thousands of. Good video guys.
The more you know. It just so happens that it looks awfully similar to a regular picnic basket lol. No, but I appreciate the info. What would this world be without creative thinking? I personally love the architecture. Wish we saw more buildings made like this. And thank you!
I was born & raised in Newark, Ohio. I worked across East Main Street at My Place Day Care in my teens during construction. People were in awe of this building. So sad to see it sitting empty.
Really appreciate the history and background of the areas you explore! Makes it more mysterious and exciting 😮💜
This is the way it looked when it was Longaberger. The top floor was where the CEO and President of Longaberger offices was. There was a beautiful granite bathroom there. It does look like a hotel but it has looked that way since 1999, when I was working there. There is a large underground parking also.
AngryIrishman0007 -do you have any of the baskets you may have made there?
@@HomesteadMercantile yes I still have baskets. No I am not selling them. I would recommend the JW mini collection if you are interested in them.
It was an amazing place to work IT at.
Dude this place is so cool! Crazy that it's still abandoned and in such good condition
I know. Finds like this are extremely rare!
Not exactly “abandoned.” “Vacant” would be a better word. It was occupied by the company only 4 years ago.
Awesome! I've been waiting for years to see inside here. Thanks lads.
I loved this video. Cool commentary and the building is so cool especially because it’s got no graffiti and is untouched for the most part
It’s a rare place. Im lucky to have explored it.
It is incredible! The last thing that scared me on an explore was a sheep! Squatters are scary too! They just wanted to explore too!
Thanks it is still empty. My friend ran the crane that set the handles on the building.
The medium market basket was my fifth basket purchase from Longaberger, and, I still have it to this day, among many other designs. 30 plus years later and I still buy them. Dresden and Company makes baskets too, and at much more affordable prices. Just got a snowman and stocking basket from them.
Broooo. This place is wild
This is an amazing video. Always wondered how it looked on the inside. Thanks for sharing it with us
Just drove by this today. You guys are brave for going inside lol But awesome footage of the inside!
I’d love to tour this building as well as the farmstead!
Great video will check more out
Appreciate that :)
In like 2014-15 I was in 9th grade and had notebooks with beautiful buildings on its cover, longaBerger was one of them
What an incredible building!!
It’s vacant, not abandoned. It’s just waiting on a new tenant or buyer.
Did you not have permission to be there?? How did you get inside? So many questions.... this was a fun video
Yes, the video appears to show they were guilty of criminal trespass. And if someone wanted to bring charges, the video is awesome evidence.
They should build buildings today that they could both be an office and a apartment, just add a small shower in the bathroom, individual heaters, and indiv water and power meters when building the building and smaller public areas, and it could be office on some floors and other floors apart same floor plan. The soviet housing units got so small and if you stayed in them in 91 you got free unit now condo. it was all precast concrete.
My mom has a whole collection of these signed and everything worth cople hundred at least
I remember going there as a kid when it was open!
i always thought when passing by this place that that one tinty part sticking was a plate but now i know its a green house lookin thing
A skylight lol
Did you find Yogi Bear....he loves pick a nik baskets

Does Yogi Bear live there??
Yes he does
"this is insane" "this is incredible" ... calm down fellas
We really do need to expand our vocabularies lol

Trespassing is a crime. I believe what you did is criminal. I considered Dave Longenberger as a friend. He was a great man and visionary. So sad that he left this world suffering from cancer, leaving everything to his greedy daughters. If you ever come back to Newark or Licking County, I hope you are arrested and given a fine and jail time. Seems you think you are above the law!
I don’t believed you didn’t have permission, you’re over acting. So dramatic. 🙄
Watch Abandoned Town of Prisons and then tell me if we’re overreacting. Adding dramatic music doesn’t make it any less scary or real..
