I never worked for him but Dave was a very generous man helping towns and communities everywhere he went from Dresden to Newark and farther!
Those were the good days of the 1980’s and 1990’s 🇺🇸

So sad to see what has happend to this business. I have heard they are still working behind the scenes trying to make a come back. I hope they have learned a lesson and are able to. Make a quality product, keep it simple and don't price it to where people can not afford it.

When I was but a young girl of 16 I visited a store that had a collection of boyd bears for sale all sitting in a Longaberger basket. I just fell in love with that basket ,in a way it's spirt , in the way of each hand that crafted it with such care sitting there on the shelf I could feel the energy of its story. I visited the basket so often that the store owner though my heart pined for the bears sitting within it.
One day I visited and as a young person the price was so much I couldn't have my hearts desire. The owner of the shop asked me what bear I wanted as she felt that she wanted to gift it to me (I loved her heart) I politely told her the bears were nice but the basket made my heart sing . Many years later here I sit enjoying my morning coffee and surrounded by baskets I loved as a child .
My heart breaks that the company didn't make it. I will treasure the legacy and my baskets as I collect more of them via Ebay. Both happy to save treasures and sad I won't see what they would be creating now.

So sad she had to bring her families legacy to an end. My question is why didn't anyone stop her from doing it? This is proof that not all women are good ENTREPRENEURS or PRESIDENTS as the media and womens groups claim today. An estimated 53,200 jobs v. her spending habits. Market crash my back side. It kills me to see that MAN'S hard work destroyed and rotting like he didn't matter.
