I genuinely love the videos from this channel!! As a budding ecologist, id love to make fun informational videos like this someday and seeing other people do it so well is heartening. Cant wait to watch this channel grow!!
Hi while searching for a bit of rather obscure and odd information I came across your channel. Would you be willing to speculate on how a slug would act in zero gravity? If say it was in a jar on the international space station how it would function or move around.
Haha alright I can try. I’d imagine a slug could deal with zero gravity quite well. Their large foot is like a suction cup that lets them climb up, down, and even upside down on surfaces in gravity so I think they could cope with no gravity and move around fine. The challenge would come if they fall off a wall and are floating in open air in zero Gs. In this situation I think they would elongate their body as much as possible and move their head up, down, and side to side looking for a surface to grab on to.
@SeahorseandCo That is about ten times more info than I have been able to find up until now. Thank you. I'm writing a fantasy novel, and one of the races in it are essentially slug centaurs.
Big fan of this mate
Thanks! Glad you like it!
