That GTO does it for me. Old school pop up lights and enough power for the street!
The rear of that car is one of the most beautiful to have ever been
Well said CA!. GTO is number 1 then the F40!
The GTO is perfection. So elegant and uncontrived. Timeless good looks and along with the 275 GTB 4 long nose, where I’ll be investing my Euromillions win this weekend. Just need to buy a ticket.....
i miss Testarossa 512
Best looking car ever.
All five are incredible but that 288 is simply stunning!
5-10 years down the line james will be releasing a video called “I’ve completed MY COLLECTION of the Ferrari top 5”
And he’ll be saying they’re now worth £50M
Gonna be top 6 in 10 years
Just need to add the 250 GTO to the collection 🤔
@@jonnyjones1292 one 250 GTO costs way more than all these 5 combined
@@lettuce1305 lol yes I know I’ve seen Nick Mason still drives his 🙌🏻 and tbh these are the cars, like JWW, I grew up with (288, F40 and F50)
I still remember reading CAR magazine's story of Ron Stratton picking up his GTO from the factory and bringing it back to the UK. I used to love going to Wilmslow as a kid in the 70's and 80's and visiting Ian Anthoney's and Strattons. Porsche and Ferrari heaven.
The Enzo is just pure and utter perfection. My most favourite Ferrari of all time.
I had a poster of the Enzo above my bed as a child, it will likely always be my favorite Ferrari of all time
I had a Countach 5000 but that was the mid 80’s.
I think STG would love to be there for that!
Stunning line up. The F50 is the one for me though
F50 then gto , then Enzo then f40 and I don't really care for the laferrari .
@@paulthomson9014 I'd swap the Gto and Enzo around but that would be my line up to Paul. Same feeling on the La Ferrari
@@carnatono personally.i think the gto is one of the most beautiful mid engined cars ever designed. I like the Enzo but some angles it's kind of awkward looking .
Absolutely amazing! Ferrari will always be the only car brand that can still make my heart beat faster. Just look at that beautiful line up...pure art and passion.
Absolutely stunning. I remember when the 288 GTO came out and I thought, “THIS is what the 308/328 SHOUKD have looked like!” They were similar, but the extra width and larger spoiler on the 288 just made it look like a beast. That 812GTS at the end was a stunner, as well. Well done.
Absolute BONKERS of a room! Thanks for sharing Mr. J and Ferrari of Colchester.
The real head scratcher is that for the same money you could buy 1/5th of a 60’s Ferrari GTO. As much as I love a GTO, I would buy these five and maybe a few others and keep the change. Lol. Awesome video as always! The F40 was my favorite car as a kid and probably always will be.
I agree it’s so weird how valuable they are 😂👍🏻
I see these nearly everyday driving past that dealership.
Do you know if they’re still there? If they are I’d want to visit, I live close but don’t want to risk the journey if they’re already gone
@@jjohand6328 yes they are still there
@@jjohand6328 we are here and open!
I wish they had maintained the manual gearbox as an option on enzos and LaFs. I always wanted my Big 5 in various blues. F50 is the dream.
I used to go to this dealer when I was stationed in England back in the late 80s. I think it’s changed a bit since then 😜 So cool!
The reason that journalists wasnt ok testdrive the f50 was because it was slower then the f40 and Ferrari knew that. F40 is a beast
Ferrari didn't allow journalists to test or review the F50 because it was slower then the F40. They were afraid of that.
I love them all, but I would pick the F50 for sure!
Of all of them, I'd take the 288GTO every time. Don't like auto/ paddle shifts, love the analogue raw appeal, and it looks like a muscular 308. Gorgeous. I just don't get seduced by the LaFerrari, don't like the side window designs on the Enzo (reminds me a Skoda Roomster!)
Have been to view this collection a few times over the last month. Good to know more about it!
It’s crazy how a 250 GTO is more than those 5 cats combined
x3
And a McLaren F1 is worth about twice as much
Biggest rip off car
@@simoncopson9291 but still not twice as much as the 250 GTO
Ferrari is a better cat than the Egyptian cat, dont @ me
Now this is my cup of tea 😅🤯
Amazing collection. Strange not to see the cloth to stop the charging wire touching the paint on the La Ferrari!
Great video. Had the pleasure of sitting in and starting up an F40 some years ago. What an experience!
288GTO is a thing of beauty, and combined with the F50 those would be it for me. And yeah, if we're buying rare stuff anyway, I'd take a 599GTO (my dream car)
Wow wow wow.....can’t imagine having that as my garage James 💯👏🏻👊🏻🍻to the owners for allowing others to appreciate history!!
Incredible hey!? Really great to be able to share this!
My order most favorite to least:
1. GTO
2. F40
3. LaFerrari
4. Enzo
I’m not fond of the F50, it just seems like a softer F40 or a watered-down Enzo, but if I had the other four I’d feel compelled to add it to the collection for collection’s sake.
plus the f50 wing looks silly
Fantastic presentation. I was taken around Brands GP in a 288 GTO a while ago. Even then it was the most valuable car out there. Its a lovely thing.
I first saw the Enzo at the 2002 motorshow too, NEC Birmingham, it was hung on a wall as I remember, and was incredible!
The 288GTO is my favorite, then the Laferrari and then the F50. Owning any would be epic.
The F40 is the reason I fell in love with supercars 🥺🔥❤️that is my childhood dream car 🙏🏻
The 288 GTO is still the prettiest. Lovely, lovely car. But, I am old enough to remember it being launched!
Similar, one owner Ferrari collection in Northern Ireland. Testarossa, F40, 599GTO, 458 Speciale, F12 TdF, LAF & LAF Aperta. Absolute dream collection and occasionally on display for charity shows etc.
I was like 5-6 years old when the enzo unveiled. And I remember that I thought it looked like a f1 car with a body build around it because the nose for me was similar to an f1 car. Since then it was Ferrari number 1 for me. In f1, on the road and in other racing series. Most beautifull automotive brand of them all
I had a 288gto in 1983 and used to park it overnight on my drive in Goldhawk Road, Shepherds Bush in London. Traded it for a house in Acton which I still own😂 car’s done a bit better financially🤷🏻♂️
I was 20 when the 288gto was released..still my favorite Ferrari/car...
If one only had a few million lying around.... wow what a collection!!
I was just thinking about that. $11mil for 5 of the cleanest Ferraris or $20m for an F1 McLaren? They should have displayed the Ferrari 250 or 250LM which are VERY expensive nowadays. Have a great day!
Scottie Copasetic the 250 LM is also like 15-20 million
@@megadragon886 - yeah it's not like I've been shopping for one but I know they've been getting really high in value. Rare cars... Pricey business.
Anyone else remember Top Gear magazine putting the Enzo on their Ugliest cars of the Year list when it came out?
I do I had the Magazine. As long as I can remember I have liked cars and I loved/love Ferraris. To be honest I thought their opinion was harsh, it was such a departure from what Ferrari had previously released so I understood the shock. I was a bit conflicted about some aspects of it, but over time it grew on me and I think it is an amazing machine.
Great video. I just wish the camera would back up more often so I can see the whole side profile of each car
Thank you so much, this was amazing
Test driving a Ferrari there next. They are absolutely stunning and I really hope these five will still be there then!
Drove down there today with my son and we looked at them through the showroom window. Quite simply incredible
If money were no object I would choose the 288 GTO and the F40. For me the 288 GTO is the most beautiful Ferrari made after the 1960’s 250 models.
To think you could buy all of these for less than a Mclaren F1 😂 Even then I’m not sure if I’d do it 😫
When is the modern classic series coming back? I love that series of videos, also would be very interesting to see a proper classic series beginning with the 288 GTO... please?
288 GTO is amazing.
I do feel like one is most attracted to the cars that were released when car consciousness started. For me the F40 is the one I desire the most. 8 year old me wouldn’t have it any other way.
Rosa Corsa just says "Ferrari", but a Yellow or Black version of any top 5 Ferrari's is just cool. I've even seen Blue iterations & it just seems more rare & exclusive. Great showcase James!
Rosso Corsa...Rosa means pink ahahah
The Enzo is really for me. One off the 3 cars that was in mine time the hypercar off the day. Together with the Carrera GT and the old Ford GT
Could you not make a Ferrari "Super 6" and add a 250GTO to that line up? Then you have Ferrari absolute greatness. Great video!!!
The Vauxhall garage is next door, are you going to go through their top 5 too? 😂 great video btw
That was fantastic. Great set to look at.
F40 my personal dream but all are a epic.thanks to colchester ferrari for sharing.❤🙏
Man that is a beautiful collection of Ferrari Cars! Ferrari is so much classier, nicer, better built, better looking, sounding & performing than Lamborghini/Audi by a long shot! Only other car manufacturers that compares to the over all quality/Performance of Ferrari is Mclaren, Porsche & Aston Martin.
I am eating a plate full of Waffles while watching this vid
Get some 😎
288 GTO is my pick, stunning car.
i would replace the 288 GTO in the big 5 with a Ferrari 512 TestaRossa (1991), the side intakes of the 512 TR is just so iconic, it was the poster car of ferrari going up against the countach
F40 😍🔥
When I bought my Aston from GVE, they had a La Ferrari there for sale and they told me how much the battery packs cost - £125,000 SIR! 😳
The GTO has a perfect design. Imagine if it is the last Ferrari from Enzo then the F40 wouldn't be at where it is today.
Thank you for posting big 5 Prancing Horse .... I much agree your take on the Enzo 😍🇮🇹
Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
As a Ferrari fan boy you got me drooling with that B-roll and everyOH MY GOD THAT 599 GTO
Anyone who thumbs downed this video has NFI about cars. Nice one JWW !!
One hell of a lineup! Thanks for watching buddy 👍🏻
A drive in the f50, will translate in. My next car it has to be the f50 . Guarateed
Amazing dream machines!!
F50 does it for me 6 speed manual NA v12 just a little over 500 hp not to much for the road 🙏🏾👍🏽😌
The Carrera GT was something I haven't thought of as a comparison but agree (as someone who has driven neither LOL) ! Have you met Ian Poulter yet/before? I know he has quite the collection and seems he's in your neck of the woods. ;)
I drove past last week and had to stop check them out. It was like a museum in there. Also a Lamborghini Diablo VT was in the car park.
Just started watching and I already put a like on the video 👌🏻 😂😂😂😂😂
I'll put another one when I finish it 🤣
incredible insight james, thank you for bringing us along. now where did i leave my lottery ticket
11 million pounds, 5 cars. 62 250 GTO 70 million dollars :) Crazy
288 for me thanks!
If I had to choose.
was the room with the 599s and the speciale's the showroom the maserati showroom on the right/the building on the right of the entrance to ferrari?
Only thing missing is the 250 GTO
What a collection!
There are so many more special Ferraris than these 'big 5'. 250 LM / 250 GT SWB / 250 California / 275 GTB / Daytona / 250 GTO /...
Are they for sale?
Ferrari F50 the best car ever made in our galaxy !
I would love to see you narrate a "B1M" style video about automotive history, you have such a nice voice.
The F-50 bro I'm in love.
The wheels on the LaF are stunning
That F30 is bootiful.
At 10:54... The Enzo number is wrong..
They also made 100 cars for the US market 🏎🔧🇺🇸 And one was auctioned off aswell...
So a total of 500 cars.
😲 What a collection...
There are maybe more Ferraris in this video then there are in my entire country.
Who that is some amazing cars. The perfect garage line up if u fly the Team ferrari banner
Personally prefer a 250 GTO over a 288 GTO.
But the other 4 are amazing.
@JWW stunting in Air Jordan X Dior? Beautiful vehicles but F40 is the pinnacle for me.
Love the smaller displacement engines
the 5 ferraris that are beautifully designed.
You should try to find Ferrari F50 GT...Still Ferrari TDF is so cool, also Ferrari 575 M...
This is what I want to see 👍 Ferrari is great ☝️ and as always great presentation 👍 very cool video 👌
nuts, thank you for sharing
288GTO. I’ve just had a trouser accident!
in truth one is missing the gto evolution but a bit difficult to have as it is the rarest of all ferrari.
2007 tyres for the f40. I wonder how a BOOST beast handles on old rubber :)
Crazy to think 1 single 250 GTO is worth 5x this entire collection...
I'd be happy with the 288 GTO dream machine.
Among these 5...? Well, I have always loved the 288GTO! And I was so young... ages before internet... years before I start buying car magazines... Yet the lines of that car stayed carved in my mind!!! Then came the F40, but I had already fallen in love with the Countach! :) The F50, it never got my attention. The Enzo... I used to love it, but it's fading.... E poi, quella ultima. La Ferrari? Quale Ferrari? Boh
Pardon my ignorance but does the 40 and 50 represent something in the F40 and F50, and is there an F60 in the works?
The F40 is a twin turo 4.0 litre V8 and the F50 is a 5.0 litre V12 N/A so yes- the numbers correspond to their engine displacement.
