New Interpol and Bloc Party albums go together like cheese and crackers
Going from "You bought me a book" in This Modern Love to "Why does everyone keep buying me books?" on this is really affecting me for some reason. Some of Kele's "voices" on this are really dark - the alcoholic sneering at his brother, the older man ogling on "Traps", all inversions and subversions of the hopeless romantics of the earlier albums. It's incredible.
The chorus is sooooooooo good, Kele's voice is just fire

@@blocpartyrocker for me it's because of parts like 2:25 onward, that reminds me of the solo in Version 2.0 and the riffs to The Once And Future King. The Peace Offering also reminds me of Emma Kate's Accident
IMHO day day drinker, You should know the truth, Callum is a snake, In Situ and If we get caught is the penultimate Bloc party experience. It's the true feeling of Bloc Part thru Silent alarm (including the b sides like tulips, two more years, and skeleton) Witc b sides including(kain said to able, version 2.0, rhododendrons, and the once a future king) thru four (leaf skeletons, v.a.l.i.s). This is almost 20 years of being a fan, and still makes you feel like whatever age or period you first experienced them without sacrificing their evolution of sound.
This gives me a So Here We Are feeling.
if the album didn't start with something this catchy it would be a huge mistake, for now one of the few tracks i really like in alpha games
