Then a week ago my friend sophie plays a Bloc Party song in the car and his vocals reminded me of this song, which I couldn't find. Then it clicked, it had to be this band. I follow them on spotify and bam, it's them. It's been like 12 years of it bothering me. Finally found it. I can rest in piece now

I discovered Bloc Party and they became my favorite band throughout my childhood and high school. Miss them. This song takes me way back. The nostalgia is real.

I have listened to bloc party since I was a little kid. But being from Australia I had no idea about the b sides growing up. It wasn't until I went to the silent alarm anniversary tour in late 2018 that I discovered skeleton and tulips. I also found leaf skeleton. And only now have I found this huge back catalogue of b sides. It's like discovering the band all over again. This song is my favourite of the lot. Such a shame that so many people have not heard this music but also super special for the people who were fans enough to look. :)
I know what you mean. Some of my favorite BP songs are songs that don't even exist. Early versions of B-sides like Blue Moon and Cells Shaped Like Stars. They were reworked to become other songs. Or even some one-off performances of certain songs like The Present, Somerset House version with the break down in the middle and Signs live @ Fort Gate Singapore that I refer to as Matt Tong's revenge. Don't even get me started about the ultra rare songs like Life of the Party. Good thing a lot of these songs can be found on UA-cam.

they are a very different band nowadays. Their recent stuff leans heavily towards the electronic influences that were scattered throughout silent alarm.
If you really want to download this song, you can find it on the Silent Alarm Remixed US release. Don't be afraid to get it on a filesharing site, it's not an easy song to find ;)

I don't think the band cares about it enough to put it on spotify. AFAIK it's only on pandora. I believe all of SA era should be avaliable for everyone. it should have some sort of 20th anniversary in 2025 at least, it's an incredible disservice to a great period, if not one of the best, in the band's history.
I truly miss this era of Indie Rock. Bloc Party had one of the best sounds of the time. Even after all these years the magic was never lost.

I hope this band still exists.
Unfortunately they broke up for a while because of drugs. I THINK they're back together, but haven't heard anything new.
they are a very different band nowadays. Their recent stuff leans heavily towards the electronic influences that were scattered throughout silent alarm.
They exist but they suck now Lol

Don't be afraid to get it on a filesharing site, it's not an easy song to find ;)

When I first saw that commercial I was like "Oh my god, I MUST have this song," and proceeded to scour the internet and limewire looking for it (since back then limewire was a thing...). I don't think the band cares about it enough to put it on spotify. AFAIK it's only on pandora. I believe all of SA era should be avaliable for everyone. it should have some sort of 20th anniversary in 2025 at least, it's an incredible disservice to a great period, if not one of the best, in the band's history.
