Remember frame interpolation will work A LOT better on the Z1E(780M GPU) chip because this SoC has 8.3 Tflops of raw compute vs. the 1.6Tflops compute of the Steamdeck. Post process effects is one aspect where Steamdeck really lags behind (because of the RDNA2 graphics architecture). Can't wait to see this game running on the latest RDNA3.5 890M.
@@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 There is something weird with the crashing because I was just plaing Wukong on my 7900XTX and it randomly crashed about a dozen times while adjusting settings before getting into the main story. But once I was in the starter area it seemed to run just fine.
La Rog Ally è 4 volte più potente della Steam Deck e va solo qualche FPS in più, non è un buon risultato anche perché il gioco è godibile anche a 40fps, inutile andare a 1000 FPS 🤣🤣🤣
why would you not turn off the frame generation though. the point is supposed to see the performance without any frame gen, then it would be easier to deduce what it would be like with frame gen. not the other way around.
I think he's using the Ally's built-in performance monitor which cannot detect interpolated frames (AFMF). Therefore, the displayed performance is the raw value. It can be confirmed by using AMD's performance monitor which can detect interpolated frames.
b/c the performance is not relevant anymore. Why not fee your mind if worry & hassle? It’s no longer about performance. You will reach the rate rate cap on 100% of games. On every game you play. So it’s now about other stuff in terms of what system you prefer. IF you own a windows pc. You can use a program call lossless scaling that is a universal frame generator that allow 2x 3x 4x frame generation on 100% of games. So what you are seeing here with this one game on steamdeck, with the pc that is every game on any system with a high level chip. So anything running a 7,000 or 8,000 chip will test fps on every game. Departing which $800 device you want to buy based on which “performs” better is no longer a necessary debate.
@@nophacetech thanks for sharing. 2 more question, Ideally rog ally x supports 65W fast charger with box but if we use more watt hour charger for example like 100w fast charger then will be good or bad for battary health. For you charging with 65w charger from 0-100% what is the time it is taking to full charge?
If the price point fits your budget and you don’t mind dealing with the usual Windows issues (like with any custom Windows PC), then yes, it’s totally worth it. But if you want something easy, affordable, and amazing, I’d go with the Steam Deck.
How something pushing 2x the amount of watts and being more modern than the hardware in SD putting it to shame?? Isn't obvious it would perform better than 3 years old hardware???
Hi all ! If Sony make ps5 portable same handheld device same APU on ps5 then ? Performance? Sony PS5P space 7 inch 4k HDR 120 display oled 16 GB ram 93wh battery
4k si stupid in a 7 inch screen, 1080p is most than good, you can barely get 30fps 1080p im the normal ps5. You can’t get 60 without frame interpolation
12:05 I'm not an expert but I feel like using in-game frame gen AND AFMF2 at the same time is going to create serious issues. Would have loved to have seen some testing without any frame gen enabled, since not everyone loves frame gen input latency.
yeah it can and that's why i was only doing it for a second just for fun. Yeah i will need to make another without frame Gen.. it just works so well on a hand held i would use it but i could see some people not wanting it the X has enough power to handle it.
huh, at lower wattages, it has same performance as deck, does it only do better at higher? thats pretty dissapointing considering, lower than 12 tdp seems to have exact same fps as ally z1, so it still cant get as low, so the extra battery life cant really be utilized also 20.5 usage at 13 tdp is alot
I guess my definition of indie game and AAA game differs from most. To me a AAA game is a game that gives you a experience that's AAA. Then you have a corporate game which is all the money in the world but not delivering AAA gameplay.
Yeah, I probably need to experiment with that a bit more… Every time I watch videos of people doing it, I’m not too impressed with the performance boost compared to how much tweaking is required.
That’s crazy! Gotta give a W to the gamedevs. And rog too for supporting Afmf 2 and rsr which are just game changers

What program do you use to monitor screen performance?
Thanks, really considering if its playable on handheld, now I'm gonna get this game for sure.
How did you manage to change the resolution from 720? My allyx won’t let me do it (within the GFN app)
just inside the apps settings you go all the way to the bottom and change the resolution settings.

Which charger you are using. It's not the default changer by brand i think. Could you please tell me or share me the link for the charger..

Is it me or does it loook like it is slow even on hogher fps
That's because of frame gen. Which should not be used unless your base is around 45
